I have had a terrible experience working with Damico for a new driveway and would not recommend the company. First, when I agreed to have the company do the work in summer 2019, they came and ripped out my old driveway & installed new base in the rain, with several more days of rain in the forecast. We were left without a driveway for multiple weeks as we waited for the soaked base to dry. This was a major inconvenience for us, due to poor scheduling/decision-making on Damico's part. Now one year later, my driveway already has a crack forming down the center of it and Damico refuses to stand behind the work. The foreman who came out to inspect it tried to leave without talking to me face-to-face, and when I did come outside to talk with him, tried to blame the issues on everything but the work and/or materials. He told me that the slope of the driveway was too steep (we have many neighbors in town with steeper sloped drives that aren't cracked, and were not told this was an issue when we received estimates), and that we should have sealcoated the driveway (the surface is literally 1 year old, asphalt should not fail if not sealcoated every 6 months). He did not mention the deep troughs forming in the driveway from car tires, which are creating a ridge in the center that is causing the cracking. Ultimately, I was told by the foreman that asphalt cracks and there's no warranty on their work so there's nothing they'll do. Don't make the mistake I have, and find a company to do your driveway who A) cares about their customers; and B) will stand behind their work.

The salesman Brad Sepper was very knowledgeable and prompt when I had questions. They were one of the few companies that responded to my request for a quote. They had the best price. The workers were like a well oiled machine and really knew their craft. My driveway looks amazing and I am very pleased with the work and the service. I would highly recommend Damico to everyone.

Job went very well! Phil did a great job of pulling together proposal and getting our job on the calendar in a timely manner. Workers showed up on time and completed both the asphalt alignment and seal-coating work quickly. I now have a freshly sealed, smooth driveway leading into my garage and I am very pleased with the results. Overall great experience with Damico.

they never responded to my inquiry. I hired another guy that simply knocked on my door and asked if he could do it.

They did it beautifully. Even the city inspector said that it was done perfectly. They were all good, they know what they needed to do, it was done very well and quickly, not a moment was wasted.

I called and spoke to someone on August 21 and after giving my contact info was told that within the next few days that someone would be out to my house to assess driveway and leave me an estimate. On August 26 I hadn’t heard from anyone so I called and spoke to someone who assured me that they would call me the next day - they needed to speak with the person who was assigned to my area. Late afternoon on the 27th I hadn’t heard from anyone so I called and left a message. Today is the afternoon of the 28th and still haven’t heard from anyone. I think I waited long enough, if they were too busy they should have told me so that I could find another company. UPDATE as of 9/20/2019: While we did get off to a rocky start Mr. Danica called me personally to explain and straighten things out- I was kept informed and the driveway was sealed and looks great- I will be using them again in the future.

They sealcoated in the rain, then washed it off. Sealcoat was in my garage, on my grass, and on my new siding, which I still can't get off. Just a horrible experience.

Everything was excellent. They trimmed the edges around the driveway and blew the driveway clean. They coated our driveway in a very thick coat. No mess. Very good job. Will hire again next year.

So far so good, it was installed 2 days ago. Last night it rained very hard for a short time, and my neighbors and I noticed puddling near the garage and to the right. While the puddle soon disappeared - probably due to my neighbor's outside pump located a few feet away - we will ask Phil if this is an area of concern, or not. Phil was responsive in scheduling, and kept us up to date with the projected estimated window of time to actually do the job, which would vary with the weather and his ongoing jobs. If there is any critique, my initial efforts to clearly state the job would be to widen the driveway in its entirety to 2-car-width from the original 1-car-width were not understood. When it came close to the day of the job, I measured the driveway's anticipated new 16 foot width and saw that several small trees would have to be removed. When I asked Phil about it via text, he indicated i could trim the bushes or trees if I wanted to. This caused my concern that the job was not understood to widen the driveway in its entirety to 2-car-width from the original 1-car-width. What I did was to cut down the trees myself. When it came time for the job, I think I asked my wife who would be there during the day to explain to them that the job was to make it two cars wide. This resulted in a $970 increase from the original quote. Based on the overall reasonableness of the price, and perhaps as much important, the reputation of the Damico company and straightforward talk from Phil since the beginning, I gave him the benefit of the doubt that this was not a last-minute price scam (we all know to be on the lookout for price gouging and/or shoddy work in the driveway industry). Finally, I was surprised that I as the home owner was asked to go to City Hall myself to obtain the required permit. What did I know about that process? It could have gone badly at City Hall since the application asked for several measurements that I had no idea what they should be. Fortunately, the lady took pity on me and helped me do the calculations regarding both the new widened 2-car width and extra 3 foot triangle section the City required at the curb to be added to the width. Ultimately, the quality of the job will be revealed with time. Based on my experience and all of the above, I WOULD RECOMMEND Damico Paving to a family member or neighbor.

Phil did an excellent job of communicating, scheduling and managing the contract from start to finish. The crew that worked on the driveway did an outstanding professional job. Quality was excellent and work was performed on time and job site was thoroughly cleaned up upon finishing the job. Exceeded our expectations in every way.
