The driveway looks great. The driveway still looks like it did the day they installed it.

A top-notch job at a reasonable price. Brad from Damico was the fastest to deliver a quote, and the price was comparable to other respected companies. He answered my followup questions thoroughly, and was able to schedule the job the same week - very fast! My only minor complaint is that I was told they would do the job in the morning, but it was actually the afternoon. I discussed the job again with Brad when he arrived. Then a small crew arrived to remove the existing asphalt with a bobcat, add more stone to the base, and thoroughly spread and compact the stone. They removed some grass and dirt to widen the driveway slightly and straighten the edges. They also cut my concrete front walk to line up with the new driveway edge - they did not just pave around the walk like some of my neighbors driveways. When they were finished, a large crew (8 men, plus truck drivers!) arrived and laid the new asphalt. They had professional-grade equipment, and everyone worked very quickly and efficiently. It was impressive to watch. They laid 3" of asphalt, after compaction. They rolled the driveway and tamped the edges for almost an hour - a very thorough job. Brad returned to make sure I was satisfied with the work, and he left me with a care sheet (how long to stay off the drive, when to have it sealed, etc.). The new driveway looks great and I am confident that it will last a long time.

They did a good job. They were prompt and they waited until the weather was proper enough to do the driveway. They have been around for a long time. The price was average. I didn't have them fill a lot of the cracks and I'll probably have it replaced. They were very responsive.

I left a message on their asnwering machine asking for a quote but not expecting a fast response. I received a call the same morning from a man who had clearly listened to my message becasue he had already looked at his calendar and had some date suggestions for providing an estimate, based on the message I left with my availability. When he called back, he was cheerful and patiently answered all my questions (since I had never had a driveway replaced before). He also quickly set my expectations, explaining that with the truckers currently on strike, it may be a few days before he could complete the job. The estimate was at my door within 48 hours! I had several estimates, but I chose Damico because of the fast response and the details in the estimate. They even included a page of tips to remember when getting your driveway replaced.... and they were not all slanted to Damico. very nice. After picking them, faxing back my approval and getting the necesssary city permit, we begin a period of when will I get it done? Although I was not in a hurry and had nothing to work around I was give two separate tentative dates (It will be Thursday or next Monday) that didn't happen and no follow up of a cancellation (again, no big deal since I had no prep work to do). The third time I got a call with a specific date and the work got done. They did a great job. They arrived as scheduled and when I got home from work that night, the work had been accomplished and the workstie was clean and neat. They had even ground down part of my cement curb which now gives me a very smooth turn into my garage. No dug up lawn, no tire treads across my lawn, very clean and neat. I would use them again and would recommend them without hesitation.

I sent an Email to Damico on 10/08/10 along with 5 other Asphalt Contractors that were recommended on Angie's List. On 10/09/2010 I received a call from Brad who works for Damico and discussed what I wanted done. Of the 5 contractors, only 2 bothered to call me back. I decided to get the usual 3 Bids before deciding on whom I was going to use and Damico came right in the middle. Of the three bids I received, 2 were from Angie's list and the other was from a local contractor, who was the lowest. After I decided to go with Damico, we then set a date to have the work performed, which I was excited about , because Brad told me we could get it all done in one day and on Friday, October 15th,2010. The night before, on 10/14/10, Brad called to give me a timeline for the following day. He told me a crew would be there at around 11:00am to remove the old driveway and then around 3:00pm a crew would come to lay the Asphalt. I decided to take off work on 10/15/10 so I could be there to answer any questions for Brad and his crew should the need arise. 11:00am came and went and there wasn't anybody at my home to work on the driveway. Around 12:00pm, I decided to give Brad a call and find out what was going on. He told me that they were running a little late and that tear out crew was on its way. I'm a firm believer that if your running late for a job or an appointment, you need to call the homeowner, not the other way around. 1:00pm came and went and still no crew or call. 2:00pm came went and still no crew or call. At this point I'm starting to get a little upset, given that I could of have gone to work and was waiting around for no reason. It?s now around 2:30pm, and I need to go to the supply house to pick up some things that I will need for 10/16/10. I get home around 3:15pm and noticed Brad was on site and waiting for his crew to get there with the Heavy Equipment and Dump Trucks. I jumped out of my truck and made it Known to Brad that I was a little upset about the fact that I could have worked that day and instead have been sitting around the house waiting for a call I never received and a crew that never showed up when they were supposed to. Brad then began to Apologize for being so late, the job before mine was more involved then they had planned on and traffic was just horrible. While waiting for his Crew, I decide to talk to Brad about a small section that I would like to add to the overall job and he told me it wouldn't be a problem. His Crew showed up at around 3:30pm and immediately got to work. They put down plywood on my new concrete apron, so they wouldn't discolor or damage it during the work to be done. At around 7:00pm they finished and I had an Absolutely Beautiful Driveway. Throughout the Installation of my Driveway, Brad and his crew were very Professional, Fast, Clean, and Knowledgeable about the various steps of the driveway install. After all was said and done, Brad didn't charge me anything extra for the additional work I had done. He said it was No Charge because of the Delays throughout the day. Brad is definitely a class act and was a pleasure to do business with. Damico exceeded my expectations on how beautiful a Driveway can be, when done the correct way. I Highly Recommend this company to anyone in need of a Driveway and would definitely use them again in the future. Thanks for the Great Job.

It went very smoothly. The contractor, his crew and all of the equipment arrived before 8:00 in the morning. The contractor was there the entire day, supervising the operation. At several points he conferred with me regarding minor issues. He had also arranged to have the inspectors here at the appropriate times, so that there would be no time delays. The entire job was complete by 4:30 in the afternoon. The driveway is very long with a large area in front of the two car garage.

They did a great job of getting the water to run away form the house, making it smooth overall and not messing up the adjacent areas. They did a few on the spot add-ons at a decent price and good job there too. I have had some mild shedding since in a few spots and I called them, but they did not come out as promised. Still overall, they did a good job although i want to get the shedding repaired. I had heard the minor shedding may have been caused by the asphalt being a bit too cool when put down, but who knows. If they address the shedding I would give them a solid "A" overall.

I was very pleased with them. I spent $4700 on the job. They did what they said. I had had my driveway done 20 years ago. The drainage was never what I wanted. This time it was done perfectly. The driveway is very long. I will definitely use this company again in the future.

They gave me an estimate and performed the work promptly. They managed to keep the sealant off my lawn as well. No complaints.

Damico Paving is a bit far from us, so I didn't know if they would service our area for just resealing, but I called anyway to ask. Our driveway has some significant cracks, too, and we weren't sure if we should have it replaced, so I asked for a quote on that as well. I was told that someone would call me back to let me know. A day or two later (I think on a Friday), I received a voicemail saying that they were going to come by the following week to take a look at our driveway and give us an estimate, and to call if we had any questions. We received the written estimate on Monday. We decided to go with another company for the reason that only one out of four companies we called offered to use hot applied crackseal (for larger/wider cracks... for an additional charge). I suppose we could have asked if any other vendors could do the same, but since this one company offered it to us (supposedly better for larger cracks) and their price was competitive, we decided to go with them. Otherwise, we had a positive experience with Damico and would consider using them in the future. I appreciated the phone call advising us that they were going to come out (and when); it demonstrates to me good communication on their end.

Very professional, except that there was a small mix-up on the date which was rectified when they called the day before to remind us and make sure we were ready. Plus on the day, the crew had the wrong address written on the work order so they almost sealcoated one of our neighbors down the street! But once on site, they did a great job on our driveway, the crew was very friendly and communicative, and I have no real complaints.

After contacting the company they gave me a written proposal with 48 hours. The price was reasonable and I requested the work be done while I was on vacation so I wouldn't have to make arrangements for my cars while seal coating was drying. They did not indicate this would be a problem at the time but when the requested date arrived and I had not heard from them I called to ask if they would be coming and they said they were not working in my location at that time. To make a long story shorter; after trying unsuccessfully to set up a couple more dates in advance, I came to the conclusion they work in one geographic area at a time. You have to be prepared to accommodate them on a few days notice, which I did and it worked out okay. The bottom line is they offer a good price but you have to be flexible on when the work can be done.

My experience with them was very good. They stuck to their schedule and speed. They were low cost as well. I recommended them to my neighbor and they have hired them as well. I would use their services in the future too.

Damico was prompt with their estimate and they did the work quickly after their proposal was accepted. The repairs were done thoroughly and in a manner that should last for a number of years. I would recommend them.

They were very professional; quick estimate. Job got delayed a bit due to a strike this summer, but as soon as it was over, they called, scheduled it and did a GREAT job!

Excellent work, especially in removing old drive without disturbing adjacent paver walks and trees. They showed up on time with a great crew all interested in Customer Satisfaction. They verified proper slopes with me and allowed me to review each step of the process. They also timed the work to accomodate the Village inspector. Resulting work mets or exceeds my expectations.

The company representative, Brad, was very prompt in responding to all my inquiries. I had researched on the internest the process for installation of new asphalt driveways. Armed with the information, and questions to ask, I had anticipated catching Brad in some mis-statements. I did not. He was honest in his answers and corrected any misconception of the process I might have had. On the day the work was to be performed, they were more ready than I. I was given a starting time for the project. On the dot, I looked outside and the street was filled with trucks and equipment ready to go. There were at least 6 men on the job at the time I left for work. When I got home after work, the job was done, the street was clean and I was thrilled with how it looked.

Called for a quote on 9/14. Left a message and was called back very quickly. Spoke with Brad. We scheduled an 8am meeting on Thursday 9/16. I was there, he was not. Apparently he wrote down the wrong day. Unfortunately, it takes me about 45 minutes to get to the location and I told him on the phone how important it was to have a firm time set. I guess mistakes happen. He did offer to meet me again and did apologize and told me that's not the way they do business. Well, I guess I was the unlucky one.

Every appointment was ontime- We noticed that the workers were not taking the driveway all the way out to the end of the garage,on each side, so we went out stopped them, had them call Rob and verify that it was all the way out not just one foot on each side. Originally the concrete walkway was cut a little unevenly and my husband thought that the entire line of the driveway was crooked. He went out measured it,showed it to the workman and it was fixed so that when the driveway was poured the next day-it was all very straight and looks wonderful. On the day it was poured I was told that it would be after 3 however I got a call at 12:30 that they were there so I had to leave work early. I guess that is better than being late.

When I first called, the operator said someone would call me back to schedule an appointment for an estimate. I thought it was kind of weird that the operator couldn't make the appointment herself. 2 days later, I got a voicemail saying someone would be out to do an estimate. 3 days later, they did the estimate. I then called again to schedule the work to be done. Once again, I was told someone would call me back to schedule the work. This time I never got a call back. Very frustrating considering all the positive reviews left here. It is a simple job, but has taken forever to accomplish nothing. UPDATE: My call and voicemail logs show the company did not call on July 12 as they claim.

We used Angie's list and picked three companies that had good reviews. One, did not service our area, my mistake!, the second one said they would be by for an estimate and never showed. Damico Paving dropped off a bid, we called them the next day and due to all the rainy weather, they said they would call the day before coming. They called us on the 29th and showed up on the 30th. It looks wonderful. Can't comment on how well it will last, but for now I'd say they did a great job. Thanks Damico!
