First of all, they were very punctual and sent out someone quickly to provide a quote. Job was done on time, for a comparable price based on what the competition provided, was squeegeed on and looked really great to start. After winter, I couldn't really even tell that the driveway was done -- cracks came back and the driveway became pretty faded. While I would have expected to get a couple years out of it, I will likely have to call someone else again later this year to get it done again. I've had Barreca do it before and they did a great job but felt like I could save a few bucks with Damico.

I first contacted Damico in June of 2013. They were already booked for the year, so the work didn't get done until May of 2014. The spring was rainy, so their work schedule was erratic. Once they arrived, the crew worked quickly and efficiently. I was surpised how quickly they removed the old driveway. The next day they laid the new driveway. It still looks good 6 month later.

The sales person provided detailed information on the materials, composition and quantity (thickness of base material, stone and asphalt material) and explained the advantages of the material composition and make-up they do against other methods. He also provided local references and identified recent driveway work in the neighborhood they accomplished for us to review. He also identified several installations by other contractors and suggested I evaluate those against their work. He provided documents that explained the installation and website links for me to research on my own. The cost quoted was the cost charged.The actual installation went very well. It is obvious the team is experienced and have a system to remove the old driveway and install the new quickly, efficiently and with precision. They paid close attention to detail with the edge tamping, placement of our Invisible Fence wire and transition seam with the existing concrete section at the top of the driveway. They also cut the street asphalt and removed debris versus just laying new asphalt over the old, which will "pop" up or degrade both surfaces very quickly. I do want to note that I was home during the installation and periodically checked on progress. I've found this tends to improve the attention to details and overall finished product quality of a contractor. I would suggest getting several bids and comparing because this lets them know you've done your homework and helps gain the best cost structure possible. They were higher than most but not the highest cost. Note, we reviewed the installations of lower cost contractors and the difference in quality and attention to detail was obvious. The key for me was cutting seams at interfaces with other surfaces versus just applying new asphalt over those surfaces.

Everyone working on the project was very professional, well qualified to do the job, courteous, hard working and a pleasure to work with. We would definitely use them again.

Their quote was for $7600. This was considerably higher than the quote of $4700 we received from a competitor. Both companies were using asphalt, removing existing, adding stone if needed, laying 3" of asphalt, and hand tamping edges.

My experience with them was fine. They were priced moderately. They had done some work in the neighborhood. So it was easy for me to go and look at. They had a good reputation online.

We chose Damico paving over a few other companies from whom we got estimates. We chose them over two other contractors, whose estimates were a little less, because they were so knowledgable. They were the only ones to point out two other problems we had with our driveway; drainage from the roof of the house, and broken curb at the street. Had we not addressed those issues prior to the installation of our new driveway, it would have seriously cut down the life span of the new one we had installed. Once the drive was in, we were blown away. It's a thing of beauty. Several friends also commented on what a nice job they did. The drive is thick, packed well and graded beautifully.

They did a nice job and repaired anything that was disturbed by the work. We stayed off the driveway for a week. The driveway has been holding up well for the past 6 months. Their prices were not the lowest or the most expensive.

This company is so popular that they were all booked in the fall, and had no availability to do another project for us! I guess you need to make an appointment further out than usual.

Brad provided an estimate which I found to be fair. This was a long driveway and required extra care around the garage, fencing and deck. The job didn't get started for a few months, but that wasn't important to me. The crew was very efficient when on-site and left me with a beautiful, properly pitched driveway. I am very pleased with the work, and will call them in the spring when it's time to seal-coat...

When I called first, the person in the office told me they were too busy and couldn't help me this year. Two days later, I get a call saying the job was being started and to park our cars on the street. So, there was initial confusion which no one took responsibility for. The job was completed and time will tell (by the end of the winter) if it was a quality job or not.

While the estimator Brad responded to our request for a quote promptly, he was then very late in scheduling the work, very abrupt on the phone, and providing inaccurate information about whether a permit was required to replace our asphalt driveway. The quote was approved ~9/4 but the work not scheduled until 10/4, then had to reschedule work due to rain. While weather delays are understandable, almost 3 weeks later we had received no contact from Brad until I placed multiple phone calls. The office provides no assistance whatsoever. Very disappointing performance from such a highly rated Angie's list company. We ultimately cancelled the project.

They returned my initial phone call promptly and came when promised. I was not home when the job was done, so I had no direct contact with the workers, but the driveway looked great when they were finished._x000D_|I

I couldn't be happier with the work that was performed. They showed up on time and did a fantastic job. I will definitely use them again in the future.

I researched on Angies List available vendors for a new driveway and it was quite apparent that Damico was the business to select. I met with Rob who answered all my questions. I appreciated his honesty. I told him I occasionally had a little seepage near my door and I queried if the new driveway would resolve my issue. He replied that if I had seepage before I most like will have seepage post driveway install. In short my driveway would not be a panacea for a prior non-driveway issue. I would say my only minor disappointment with the quote is that it does not indicate a per sq ft amount. The quote just says 3,000. Its difficult for me as a consumer to determine a good quote from a bad quote if I do not know what represents the 3,000. Note this is more of an industry disappointment, rather than a disappointment with Damico. After research and getting another quote from a competitor I felt 3,000 dollars was actually quite reasonable and I agreed to the job. Rob was excellent in handling all my calls prior to the job including a small snafu I had with the permit. I also talked to him twice after the install and he answered promptly... I thought the driveway turned out great. We recently had a major rainstorm and the new driveway made a huge difference. The pitch for the entire driveway was perfect. I plan on using them next spring for the sealing.

The crew came and worked like a while oiled machine. Each person had his task and did it very well . They did an excellent job.

As discussed above Damico is a customer oriented company and I will use them again.

They overall did a great job. They were responsive with phone calls. They were great with their written estimate. The repaved driveway looks great, nice and even, with a slight grade for drainage. They were careful with the landscaping. All edges were nicely formed including the sidewalk edges and the grass edges.

Did a very nice job. Showed up on time and completed the work professionally. I will use them for now on!

They were very fast and punctual about coming out and giving me an estimate. I have multiple projects going right now and decided to pursue another project before this one, but I was very happy with the price and have seen their work at around my community.
