Damico Paving & Sealcoating

Description of Work: We have used Damico to redo our asphalt driveway a few years ago and we have the driveway sealed each year. They are not the least expensive, but quite good.

Description of Work: Damico responded promptly to my phone call, but said they do not work in my area -too far from their headquarters. Very disappointed as they were rated so highly.

I again told them I had canceled their service 3 or 4 times, and please take me off your list. Horrible.

Description of Work: Tore out driveway, new ashphalt and wider

Description of Work: Did not use this company though I would have loved to. We live about 20 minutes for their office on the Naperville/Plainfield border and apparently/unfortunately we are out of their service area. Haven't been able to find anyone else doing what they do or with the praise these guys get. I guess we will have I go stamped concrete instead, big disappointment.

Description of Work: After a bumpy start in getting the quote and answers we were looking for Damico complete the work as promised. They showed up on time and completed on time. The crew was professional and polite.

Description of Work: Asked for a quote. They were professional. But we did not use them since we contracted with someone who had done the work for us before.

Description of Work: Professional job from start to finish! When I first contacted Damico, I received a call back within hours and a proposal within two days. Once I was ready to have driveway done, I called Rob and he set-up the to be completed within 7 days. On the day of demolition and install, the crew arrived exactly on-time. The crew first asked if I had any questions or special requests prior to the job starting. I actually requested that a 1 1/2" pipe (self supplied) be embedded in the rock base for future sprinkler system and/or electrical wires for outdoor lighting. The crew didn't hesitate to bury the PVC pipe per my request. The demolition was done with kid gloves not to disturb current concrete sidewalks or lawn. Once demolition was complete, the crew laid down a gravel base that was to village code. Then, the crew laid down the asphalt to the thickness of village code (3"). The foreman went around the perimeter to ensure that the thickness to the sidewalk and apron measures 3". The foreman also encouraged me to take my own photos for historical purposes. The total time from demolition to being complete took 4 hours. The attention to detail was impressive and the clean-up was extraordinary. I would recommend Damico to everyone! You can't go wrong!!!!

Description of Work: Brad Sepper was very prompt in responding to my request for a vist to get an estimate on repairing/replacing my asphalt driveway. He also gave me an estimate on the spot. I had previously gotten an estimate from another Angie List recommended contractor and both estimates were in the ballpark to each other. However, due to the cost of the project, I have decided to hold off doing anything at this time. Maybe next year. Even though I am not having the work done, I did want to provide positive feedback on Damico Paving's promptness in responding to my inquiry. That is not always the case with every contractor so I like to acknowledge it when it occurs.

Description of Work: I had them reseal my asphalt driveway for a two car garage. I called them and requested an estimate for my driveway. The following day they sent a man over and provided an estimate but instead of discussing it with me; he just put it in my mail box. I had to call them to discuss some questions I had. It was decided that I need to spray some grass in the drive cracks to kill it before they sealed it. I was to let them know when I was ready to have the driveway sealed. About a week or so later they called on a Thursday and said that they were coming the next day to seal the drive; but I said that I was not ready yet and that they were to wait for me to call them. Then about a week to 10 days later they came early in the morning and sealed my drive without telling me in advance that they were coming and when their crew was here they did not let me know that they were here. I went out to go somewhere and discovered that the driveway was sealed. They put the invoice in my mail box. I had an appointment that day that I was able to reschedule for the next day. if necessary Damico said that I could drive on the driveway and they would come back and redo it at no expense. I also noted, that because they didn't let me put the garage door up some of the sealing material was splattered on the door. They offered to come back and remove it. Otherwise, the sealiing job was very professional and I was pleased with it. They also emailed me a copy of the estimate when I misplaced it.

Description of Work: I had them sealcoat my driveway which went well as usual. I also asked them to re-establish the aggregate shoulder by the street in front of my house so it would drain properly and could be used for parking. There was some miscommunication about what exactly I wanted done but Brad, the project manager, kept at it until he got it right.

Description of Work: Had an asphalt driveway replaced. Everything went great; good crew. Only problems were communicating with the estimator, Robert, and the actual time the work was to start and when it actually did start.
