My first email did not get a response, but I was left a comment by Apple Blossom on Angie's List. I decided to have Harvey come out in addition to another landscaping company. He offered a number of suggestions as we walked around my house and then put together a quote before leaving. I decided to go with Apple Blossom because they were $1000 cheaper than the other quote. Harvey came out again to do another walkthrough and review the contract. His team were out the next week. They did everything we had talked about and cleaned up everything very well. Some landscaping couldn't be pruned because it was too early in the fall season, but they were back two weeks later to take care of the rest. Harvey did a good job of making sure I had all of my questions answered. He also provided information about the plants in my yard and notes for future maintenance.

Their price was high compared to some others. They were good and prompt.

Very professsonal but fee was exorbitant. Don't be taken in with this.

We haven't had them do any work because they are busy. Their schedule was out so far that we didn't use them. It went fine but we thought they were a little expensive. They came when they said they would.

Harvey called right away and came out quickly and gave us a price. He was very good and professional. He explained everything and had a book with all of his jobs in it. He did a thorough job and explained all the options involved. His price was a little expensive. He quoted a couple of different items and one was in the range of the others. He seemed to be higher than everybody else on the other one.

Francisco and the crew did a excellent job. The crew always cleaned up at the end of the day. They had to do a lot of stone cutting and when they were done they would wash down the siding. Before the did anything they would ask me if I would like it done this way or another way.

They were very prompt with their service. The estimate was right on and they were excellent overall. We're planning on using them again this year.

Harvey is very professional and responsive to the customer's needs and budget. He described in detail what type of design would work well, brought his portfolios so I could review his past work, took measurements and pictures of the house/yard. He delivered his quote/proposal with pictures of landscape plants and hardscape options. I decided on my final budget and asked if he could make some changes to his quote and design. He had no problem working within my budget and I accepted his quote. His design is beautiful and his crew did an excellent job from start to finish including cleanup. After the project was completed, Harvey came back to give me instructions on caring for the new plants, shrubs and trees and this is also provided in writing. He also offers follow up for any questions the customer may have in the future. This was my first landscaping project and I was extremely satisifed with everything.

The experience overall was extremely pleasant. My husband and I are not known for our 'green thumbs', so we needed a company with experience and knowedge; a company that could convey to use the instructions we needed to keep our landscaping growing strong and healthly. The company provided us a honest, realistic start date, based on the scheduled work and did not give us false expectations. The owner, Harry, visited us several times, before, during and after the project to insure we were satisfied and his passion and knowledge for his occupation showed in all of his conversations with us. We would definitely use them again and would highly recommend them for landscaping work.

We were looking for ideas to cover a large area (approximately 300 - 400 sq ft) under two large maple trees in our back yard. It was almost impossible for grass to grow in this area due to the constant shade and root system of the trees and slope of the ground. We found Apple Blossom on Angie's List and called for ideas and an estimate. The expectation was to get two to three quotes from landscapers. Harvey Willey, Apple Blossom's owner, came to the house and immediately begin providing ideas for what to do with the area. Right away you could sense Harvey's passion for what he does. After viewing his portfolio of other jobs while he was taking measurements, we could tell Apple Blossom was used to working on bigger projects. However, Harvey spent as much time with us as we needed and treated our project like it was his only one. After providing the quote and drawing of what the finished project would look like, we immediately contracted Apple Blossom and didn't bother talking to other companies. The garden was installed roughly 45 days after contracted, largely because we did the work during the busy season. The job took about five hours given the crew of five. The crew was very professional with the installation and did a wonderful job with cleanup. They even used the left over mulch from the shade garden to fill in other areas around our house that needed it. Overall we are extremely pleased with the finished product. The flagstone steps that were selected by Harvey were larger than expected (which made the path look better, much to our delight) and their color complemented our backyard nicely. We received several compliments from our neighbors. A day after the install, Harvey met with us again to ensure we were pleased with the finished product and also provided us with verbal and written instructions as to how best to care for the garden and plants going forward. His involvement in the entire process was comforting. Unfortunately, I can't provide a higher grade than "A" for professionalism because it would be certainly well deserved. As much as I would like to find some criticism in the process to balance this review, I honestly can't. If you are planning on any landscaping projects, I highly recommend talking with Apple Blossom first.

Responded to my initial call within two days and came out within four. They assessed the work that was to be done and gave a general estimate of the work to be completed. They told me they would call me and give me a quote for the work . They never called back. The last time I heard from them was the day they were here.

We are extremely pleased with the entire experience! Harvey Willey, Apple Blossom's President, worked with us every step of the way, meeting with us on numerous occasions to ensure every detail of what needed to be done and what we wanted done was covered. He visited our house several times to make sure he got the sketches of the patio, retaining walls and landscaping exactly how we wanted it and to show us how the final product would look. The actual construction work took 5 days and the crew were very professional and courteous, always taking care not to disturb any of the existing bushes, lawn, etc. Once the work started, the City inspectors required them to install drain tile in the yard to ensure the water flow from the new patio would not run into the neighbor's yard. This was not anticipated, of course, so was not in the original contract. However, Harvey didn't even charge us for it! Harvey and his crew also "fixed up" several other existing areas of our yard (also not included in the contract) to make them more appealing and to complement the new landscaping - again, without extra charges. They did an excellent job cleaning up everything. Harvey came back after the final work was complete for a final walk-thru to make sure everything that was to be done was done exactly as originally agreed upon. We recommend Apple Blossom highly. It's so nice to work with such professional, dedicated and caring people.

We started the process last winter, getting bids. We chose Apple Blossom's design. Then we planned the landscape and reserved Apple Blossom's services for this spring. The crew started the work Tuesday afternoon, were off Wednesday because of the rain, and finished Thursday evening. The landscape was installed exactly to plan, and it looks beautiful. The crew also spruced up the existing landscape, edging and mulching around the trees. They also repaired a loose paver on the garage stoop, planted my dwarf lilac and rhubarb, and mulched around the side gardens, taking extra care with the more delicate plantings. Harvey, the owner, stopped by today for a walkaround, and left detailed information on watering, feeding, and pruning the plants he installed. In addition, he gave me advice on an ailing plum tree in the back garden, and information on hummingbirds and other native wild birds. He made it clear he is available to answer any questions I have about my landscaping, anytime of the year.

I used them the first year I moved in and the person who came out was Harvey. He ploughs my driveway in winter and is really nice. He is really helpful and knows a lot of people in the trade. He gives references if we need information about something.

Harvey was GREAT! He not only looked over our job, advised us on options, and wrote up an estimate... He also offered a referral for another business that specializes in concrete hardscapes to consider as an alternate solution. Then he went on to walk through the front and back of our yard and answer all our questions about what different plants were and advised some things we could do ourselves to improve the neglected landscaping of our newly purchased home. He advised waiting to do any major landscaping changes until we had owned the home for a year in order to see exactly what we had through the various seasons. We decided we could patch the stairwell but we hope to use Harvey for landscaping next Spring because we were so very impressed with him.

Apple Blossom was one of three firms we had found on Angie's List and asked to come out for an estimate. While they were the most expensive, Harvey was the one we trusted the most and whose ideas we liked the best. He was very professional, kind, and responsive. At our request, Had Harvey come out to offer his opinions on what we should do about improving our front yard and walkway. We already had an idea of what we wanted to do, however, Harvey had a much nicer plan. We ended up going without a retaining wall. He took a digital photo of the front yard to enter into his computer program. He then asked us our preferences on the size and shape of the walkways and step, types and colors of the plants we wanted, and how much maintenance we wanted to be involved with in the future. He came back about a week later (we made an appointment) with a color computer photo and schematic of what the front yard would look like under his plan. We chose the colors and styles of our pavers and chalked out a line of where the landscaping would go. A few days later, Harvey came out to spray Roundup on the areas of sod that were to be dug up for the landscaping. His crew came back in another few days to blow out the walkway and step, dug up the sod, and planted and mulched much of the area. A few days later they came out to pour the foundation for the 5x7 half circle step. A few days later they came out and poured the step. A week after that (needed time for the concrete to cure and for the rain to leave the area) they came out to set the pavers on the step and walkway and finish the planting. A few days later, Harvey came out to go over the work, discuss the care of the plants, discuss his one year warranty on all of the plants, offer a FREE pruning lesson in the Winter and Spring, and answer any other questions that we had. We're very pleased with Harvey's design as it looks beautiful. Our neighbors made several comments as well. This job took a bit longer to complete from start to finish than I had hoped for, but it was well worth the time.

Harvey was great. He came out and listened to what we wanted and drew up a plan. Within a few days we had an estimate and a list of shrubs, tree's and flowers to pick from. He was very kind when we wanted to make changes and had helpful suggestions for pruning and maintaining the rest of the yard. It took them three days to move the wall, plant the tree and plant the three beds of bushes and flowers. Everything looked just like we wanted it. After the work was complete Harvey came back out and taught us how to water the new plants and what to do in spring/fall to keep them healthy.

Contacted this company because of good rating on Angie's List, but big thumbs down for non-responsiveness. Maybe they were good last year (good reviews in 2007) but they're off my list of landscapers to consider now.

They came back when my patio and driveway were complete to backfill with dirt. He left me with detailed instructions on how to care for things and also the assurance that I can call him any time I have a question. I can't wait for the entire project to be finished next spring. I feel that I have found a landscaper for the long haul and not just for this project. Other company's estimates were lower, but I felt in this case I was paying for higher quality of service and of products.

Harvey came out and explained everything thoroughly, and informed me that the work would be less than their minimum. He said he would try to get us on the schedule regardless, because we are currently having a problem with water in our basement and said he would email me the proposal. He never did email the proposal, but I assume it was because the work was not adequate to meet their minimum requirement. I would definitely consider working with them in the future when we have a more substantial landscaping project.

Harvey is excellent. He worked with us to give us a great looking yard within budget. We had some special needs: the plants needed to be low maintenance; and we had a bike path from which we wanted privacy. His plan was extremely professional, his crew very professional, and his follow up is excellent. We'll call on Apple Blossom again in the future to improve other areas of our yard.

THE OWNER CAME OUT AND GAVE US A QUICK AND EASY TO UNDERSTAND BID ON SHORT NOTICE. THEIR PRICE WAS BELOW MANY OTHER INDIVIDUALS OR COMPANIES THAT DID SNOW REMOVAL. THEY DID EXCELLENT REMOVAL OF THE SNOW, HOWEVER DURING A BLINDING FOOT SNOW FALL THEY DID SCRAPE A NEIGHBOR'S WOOD FENCE AND DID NOT INFORM US OF THE DAMAGE.
