My experience went very well. He was very knowledgeable an was very concerned with the fact of moisture getting into the house. He was thorough in assessing the sub-floor. And he did a very high quality job. In particular he did a really good job on sealing the door.

With Rob's help I ordered my front door, which included the entire frame with sidelights from a local store. He picked the door assembly up for me once it arrived and brought it to my home. The installation of the door hit a big snag while during the tearout of the current door, rotted flooring was found around the joists. Thankfully the rot was not as bad as it first appeared and Rob only had to replace a few pieces of wood. The new door assembly was put in place and the old interior trim was reinstalled. I have to say that the new door was put in tighter and better than the original builder door ever was. All work was done very professionally and very promptly. I would certainly not hesitate to call House-Crafters for future work.

Job went great. Took most of the day, but door looks and works great. They were happy to wait while I went to buy new inside trim and then they installed it nicely.

We coordinated the date with House-Crafters and Paul told us when he would arrive, he called when there would be a slight delay, he picked up the doors and spent the entire day with his partner/assistant working on getting the doors fitted and installed. They started around 9:30 after picking up our doors and finished up about 5:30

I needed a contractor to replace my old front doors. I had a couple of doors in mind that I had seen at my local home store. I turned to Angie's list to see if I could find a contractor with some good references. This was my first time using Angie's list so I wasn't sure what to expect. House-Crafters had some very good references on Angie's List so I contacted them. I called them on a Sunday. They called me back on Monday morning, and came to my house to give me a quote on Tuesday. I thought that was a very good response time. The estimator gave me a very good quote so I decided that I would do business with them. The estimator told me what size the door should be so that I would get the correct size from my home store. I ordered the doors from my home store the following day. They were a special order so it took a couple of weeks for them to arrive. Once they did, I contacted House-Crafters to schedule an installation date. They were able to do it on a Saturday which was a good day for me.They arrived on time. They removed the old doors and they installed the new ones. They hauled away the old doors which was very good also. I thought that the experience with House-Crafters was very good. Communication was very good. There was very good response when ever I called them or emailed them. They showed up on time and did a professional job. They did what they said they would do, when they said they would do it.

After having quite a few service professionals in an out of our home for a major remodel, my husband and I agree that House-Crafters is clearly a cut above the rest. I called the office to have someone out for a quote and Rob arrived on time the same evening. We talked through our door replacement and Rob had so much helpful advice on what kind of door to buy and a plan to make a standard door fit in our space. We really appreciated that he didn't just tell us to be an expensive door, he offered advice through various price ranges. About two weeks later, we called in a door at Menards and Rob and Cody picked it up for us and installed it. I can't express just how professional and friendly they are. Since they also do home inspections, we really felt comfortable that our work was being done properly. I will definitely use House-Crafters for a future project.

I received a call back within minutes of my email inquiry. I was quoted a fair price and they were able to do the work within a few days. They picked up the garage door that I had previously purchased and installed the door within 3 hours. They were very friendly and professional. I would definitely use them again in the future.

Contacted Home-Crafters via email inquiry through Angie's List. They responded within a couple of hours and quoted me a price that was lower that the four other companies I had contacted. They were the only company I contacted that offered to pick up the doors for us at Home Depot. When they went to pick-up the doors, they found that one had a big scratch on it, so they arranged with Home Depot to ship a new door. They came and installed the one door and told us to call them when the other door arrives at Home Depot. As soon as the other door arrived, we called House-Crafters again and were able to schedule the second installation four days later. It was a pretty simple installation, and Rob did an excellent job. He was on time and worked quickly. I would definitely use them again.

I had ordered the doors from a factory in Ohio, but found myself not experienced enough to install them to the level of quality I desired. So, I called House-Crafters on a Monday morning and left a message, and received a call back early evening and set up an appointment for that Friday. Tuesday morning they called back as they had a cancellation and could come out that day if that would work for me (which it did). Rob and Jake arrived when they said they would and got to work right away. Rob (the carpenter) always explained what he was going to do and asked my permission before addressing small problems that came up during the installation. I found him to be very personable. They hauled the old doors away for no charge. I am very pleased with the quality of the work, they cleaned up after themselves, and the price was very reasonable at $115.00 per door. I have another project in mind that I would like done and would hire them again in a heart beat.

Excellent service, friendly, completed the work as expected. They also will recommend replacement doors, and will come out to measure before you place an order (which they recommend).

Rob from House Crafters come on Monday 3/12/12 for an estimate on installing a patio door. Rob was right on time measured and told me what door would fit my opening. It was a bit off standard size. I called on Wednesday to get an install date. They had a cancelation the next day. My son picked up the door at Home Depot and Rob and his helper (sorry I don't remember his name) came right on time Thursday. They were very careful parking the truck and trailer so as not to block any neighbors, I live in a town house without a garage. They unloaded the new patio door out of my son's truck and got right to work. Rob had said it would take 4 - 6 hours to install. They worked straight for 4 hours without a break and had it installed and the area cleaned up. They didn't even stop for lunch and all they would take from me was ice water. I am very pleased with the price and the job.

No problems, seeemed to install easily making adjustments as he needed to get it right. Door looks beautiful and I am thrilled to have the light it brings in.

When Housecrafters went to install our front screen doors, Rob discovered that some of the parts were dented, delaying the install. We easily rescheduled our install after several reorders. Housecrafters was extremely accomodating to our schedule.

We are planning on hiring them. They were the cheapest company that we spoke to. They followed up and had licenses and permits.

They did a superb job. The work they did was outstanding. I spent between $250 and $300 and that included them picking up the door from the store I purchased it from, taking out the old doors and installing the new ones. I picked out this company from a list of installers they had at the store I purchased the doors from. Their professionalism was outstanding and I thought that everything about them was top-notch. I would tell other members that they were very prompt, did good work and the price was reasonable.

Rob is a very detail oriented person who does a very good job. He explains everything he does and gives you a good overview of what needs to be done. He does a very thorough job and provides a very good value. I will definitely hire him again for more work.

Rob was very professional and his work is top notch. He had great advice on the types of doors and windows to consider. I picked out the doors at Menards and he picked them up and installed them. When the doors needed minor adjustments, he came out promptly and made them. Now our home not only looks better but has the security and warmth of updated doors and windows.

House-Crafters did a very nice job on the installation of my powder room door. I've put in doors in the past by myself, but this was a very tight fit with a toilet in the way, and I knew I had to have someone experienced. They showed up on time, adjusted the door that I had previously put into the opening, made sure it cleared the toilet, and put up the trim. I am very satisfied with the work.

Rob always showed up on time for both the estimate and the job. His estimate was very straightforward as it was based on the number of doors (not time). The actual price was exactly what was estimated. Rob did the whole job perfectly. Every new door closes smoothly and there is no extra space on either the top or bottom of the door. When I asked him, Rob provided sound advice on where to get the doors and which ones to use. When he picked up the new doors I ordered, he had several replaced by the store because they did not meet his standards. He also has great attention to detail--original doorknobs were reused as requested, one doorway was missing a strike plate and he replaced it. The whole job was done in 2 days at about $115 per door. Especially for larger replacement jobs, I would strongly recommend House-Crafters for door replacements.

HOUSECRAFTERS CAME OUT AT FIRST TO MEASURE THE OPENING AS I PREVIOUSLY HAD BEEN TOLD IT MAY BE AN UNUSUAL SIZE. THE MEASUREMENT WAS GIVEN TO ME AND I PURCHASED THE DOOR OF MY CHOICE. I THEN CALLED TO SET UP THE APPOINTMENT. THE WORKMAN ARRIVED ON TIME AND WAS PROFESSIONAL.

Estimate was professional and prompt. Were a little late the day of the work but called to let me know when they were coming. I had to dispose of all of old materials myself. Cleaned up after themselves inside the house. Professional and expedient work, and the door looks great!

OUR EXPERIENCE WITH THIS CONTRACTOR WAS VERY POSITIVE. THEY RESPONDED PROMPTLY TO OUR REQUEST FOR A QUOTE, GAVE GOOD ADVICE REGARDING DOOR PURCHASE, SCHEDULED INSTALLATION TO OUR CONVENIENCE, SHOWED UP ON TIME, DID A GREAT JOB, AND CLEANED UP AFTER. WE'D DEFINITELY HIRE AGAIN.

COMPANY CAME OUT TWICE BECAUSE WE HAD PURCHASED THE WRONG SIZE DOOR AHEAD OF TIME (SALESPERSON RECOMMENDATION AT HARDWARE STORE). PERSON THAT CAME OUT TO OUR HOUSE WAS HELPFUL IN USING HIS CONTACTS AT HARDWARE STORE TO SET UP AN EXCHANGE FOR THE DOOR WE HAD FOR THE CORRECT SIZE WE NEEDED. CAME OUT A SECOND TIME TO INSTALL THE DOOR AND DID A NICE JOB.

WE ARE REPLACING INTERIOR DOORS. HOUSE-CRAFTERS WAS RECOMMENDED BY MENARDS. A REASONABLE PER-DOOR ''BALLPARK'' WAS GIVEN OVER PHONE. SAME DAY, REP (ROB) SHOWED UP TO GIVE ESTIMATE. CALLED AHEAD, WAS VERY POLITE (TOOK HIS SHOES OFF!),LEFT ME WITH A WRITTEN PROPOSAL THAT INCLUDED EXACTLY WHAT I NEEDED TO BUY FOR EACH DOORWAY-SIZE, SWING, THICKNESS, L OR R HANDED, TYPE AND AMOUNT OF MOLDING. ON THE SCHEDULED DAY, PICKED ALL MY MATERIALS UP FROM MENARDS FOR A $25 FEE, AND SHOWED UP ON TIME. PUT HIS OWN PORTABLE HEATERS IN MY GARAGE, SO HE COULD SAW DOORS AND TRIM IN THERE AND NOT GET MY HOUSE COVERED WITH DUST. AWESOME JOB. $100-125 FOR EACH OF MY DOORS, TRIM INCLUDED. HIRING THEM TO DO MORE THIS SPRING. NO SALES PITCHES, JUST SOLID WORK.
