 + -1 moreI called him to redeem my Big Deal, he said he was a couple weeks out to redeem the Deal. I said that was fine and I followed up with him three weeks later. When I called him he said "Is this one of those coupons or is this actual work?" which was off putting. I still set an appointment, he showed up late to give me a quote, which I thought was high so I decided to just call for a refund.

 + -1 moreJim arrived on time and starting setting up right away. We only wanted one side of the stairwell drywalled because the plaster had been crumbling. Prior to his arrival, we had removed all of the plaster and had the area prepped for the drywall. Jim hung the drywall right on top of the lath, per our request, and was able to tuck most of it behind the trim that already existed in the hallway. The job took longer than we had anticipated, due to all of the angled cuts and last minute items from Home Depot, but the additional money we paid was similar to the Angie's List big deal rate, so we were happy. We will contact Jim in the future whenever we need drywall hung.

He repaired drywall that had been cut to find and repair basement water leaks in 2 locations. He primed and applied the popcorn finish to the walls so the only way you can tell the difference is the shading of the new work vs the old that was done 20+ years ago. He repaired and primed 2 seams in the basement stairwell. He cleaned up after himself.

The drywall work came out as if their never had been any water damage. Jim prepared the room by covering everything in the room and he took exceptional care in my wife's figurines. Description of Work: I found Jim here on Angie's List and decided to give him a call. I had purchased the Big Deal of 4 hours of drywall repair to fix an area where water had leaked through my roof. After Jim arrived to start the repairs, I asked him if he'd quote on repainting the Bathroom and Living room while he was here. Jim gave me a very satisfying quote and excepted. The painting and repairs took less than a week and the work was fantastic My wife and I are extremely satisfied with the final outcome.

He did what he could for the ceiling to help with the problem and that it would be a much bigger job for him. He was able to fix wall drywall from water damage.

Jim was very up front about his schedule due to the extra attention his business was getting due to the coupon. We scheduled my job about 3-4 weeks out and confirmed the day before. Jim was prompt and prepared. He first gave an assessment of the project and then got to work straight away. He kept busy on other parts of the larger project while the first coats dried. After the coupon was used, he quoted a fair price to continue working. The job was completed as stated and on time. We would definitely use Jim again.

Description of Work: Using Maximum Painting Inc. was a wonderful experience, Jim is very professional, does great work and is pleasant to communicate with. He was timely in returning calls, provided good up dates regarding expected arrival time and was punctual in his estimated time slot. I am thankful for the Angie's Special of $99.00 for up to 4 hours of Drywall/ plaster repair. He removed the ugly poorly done previous ( painted over and worn tape- stripe which ran all the way down one wall, smoothed out the surface and it now looks great. I am so pleased that this profession company has prepared all my walls for painting, by filling/smoothing out the gashes/nailholes, etc He also expertly repaired the open area around an electic switch, cold air no longer seepes in. I was asked to mark the areas of needed wall repairs with a pencil, he proceeded to work quickly with much skill to make these improvements. I plan to call Maximum Painting to return and provide the professional painting services in the near furture.

Description of Work: I had Jim come to my house in Elwood. He was also working on my rental home in Romeoville. This would explain why I have two ratings. The Elwood house had previous water damage done to the ceiling in the kitchen. Unfortunately the kitchen ceiling is also connected with the entrance and the dining room. In the dining room, the previous painter had apparently glues the tape to the ceiling. He gave me an estimate I could work with and proceeded to tear out the drywall tape that was buckling. Once all the glued on tape was removed (apparently it appeared to be glued instead of mudded to the ceiling) he proceeded to retape and mud the joints. Upon completion of this phase, he repainted the ceiling and also a green wall that had been attacked by the glued tape. He is respectful, nice and will be used again.

 + 0 moreGot Jim Carpenters name from your company. Asked if he went to Romeoville and to Elwood to which he said yes. So due to the roof leaking, the ceiling caved in on both bathrooms. We had the roof completely redone. Jim came over to give me an estimate. The work took a week, but the renters are thrilled with the results. He covered all the furniture that couldn't be moved. Covered the walls so the paint wouldn't drip on it. Used fans to hurry the paint along as both bathrooms were being worked on, so it limited access to the renters. It was a great experience.
Description of Work: Re taped both bathroom ceilings, and the family room. Painted the ceilings in all three rooms and also the walls in both bathrooms. I also asked if he could place quarter round by the glue-lam in the family room.

 + -1 moreThis business is run in a timely and friendly manner. Their comuunication skills are excellent. Prep work and painting is complete, quick, neat and orderly. They continually check their work and repair as needed. Drywall repairs are perfect. All the hardware was replaced, and they moved all the large furnishings back. They are very willing if approached to help where needed to hang large pictures, etc. The job was completed today and the price for 3000 sq ft for $3000
Description of Work: He painted my new construction home in four installments over the course of a year. The house is 3000 sq ft(1800) first floor, the rest in the basement. Half is two story with many odd angles. Most of the rooms were different colors. They are insured. They do interior/exterior, pressure wash, all drywall repairs, hanging and taping, and deck staining. He is used by a designer from the website.
