Jim Durso did remarkably efficient work. He arrived on time and worked quickly. The area was clean when he left. The results are top notch - he was thoughtful about placement of lines so that access is easy and the look is neat. Jim was also very responsive, requiring only about two or three days notice to come out each time (once for the estimate, once to move the lines before cabinet installation, and once to finalize everything). This may vary according to season (the work was in January), but Jim and the staff at R&S were very polite and professional.

When I called it was the day after a storm. They fit me into the schedule. Checked the sump pump and determined it was working properly (it was running a lot because of the amount of rain.) They quickly fixed the toiled by replacing some parts. Quick efficient service. I have used them before.

I was very pleased with the service. Keith went above and beyond what I expected in solving the problems. We had a leak following the repairs on the water heater and they promptly returned to repair it. I will be sure to call again.

This is the second time we have used R&S. Both times the work has been exceptional. We contacted them on a Sunday, they returned our call to let us know they would be by early Monday before they started their ''normal'' work day and also before we had to start ours. Keith had things fixed by 9 and we were off to work. I could not ask for better service. They will surely be the company I always try to get to do work for us.

WOW!! what a great job. R & S came on time, did everything and then some! Very thorough, fair, clean and friendly. I will never have to look for another plumber; R&S is it!!

They were very prompt and nice. They did it in half the time they said it would take. I got a few estimates and they were high. But, they could do it sooner and faster than others. The only thing I would suggest is for the guy coming to the front door to have some identification visible that he was with company.

On the original scheduled day, they had lots of emergency calls due the bad weather in this area. Keith called me on time and asked if we can reschedule the appt due to the emergency calls. Once I accepted for the same he was kind enough to schedule for day and time I proposed. On the re-scheduled day, he called me before and checked if he needs to get any parts for the job. He did all the job on time as he had estimated earlier and did a clean job

Wonderful service by Mark. He fixed a problem the original builder created when the builder bent pipes to fit the space. His boss, Keith, fixed another toilet because he was familiar with this particular low-flow Kohler toilet and saved me from replacement costs. They were timely, efficient, and very cost effective. I would absolutely use them again.

Keith was on time, extremely congenial and very professional. Keith originally came out for the toilet, and did a great job with that. Last time (3 mos. ago) we had another toilet stopped up, and we had called another plumber (Not R and S) and that plumber tried to charge us hundreds of dollars to basically unstop the toilet. We sent that plumber home, and had a friend who is a handyman come out and take a look before going forward on that repair. Of course, we were told by our friend it was a simple repair, and the other company was trying to take advantage of us. Re: R and S, while here, Keith noticed a faucet handle on the tub that was backwards & asked if he could fix it-since he billed by time and not the job, this was extremely nice of him to do so, and I was only charged for the part then. He also checked the temp of our hot water heater as well as part of his visit. I was extremely impressed by his honesty, and his professionalism. I will definitely use this service again.

Great experience! Keith was friendly, prompt, reasonably priced. Came on-time, within a 2 hour window, 2 days after he was called with problem. Cleaned everything and explained everything.

Jim replied promptly by phone to my request for a quotation. Keith came on time as scheduled to do the work. The quote was competitive & accurate as to time and cost. Keith was excellent beyond expectations as to skill, trustworthiness, honesty, candor, efficiency, cleanliness of work habit, and attention to detail. I was amazed at how little disruption the work caused. The job was done perfectly. Keith was very genial, tolerant of questions, and gave explanations. I am confident the price was very fair.

Keith was very pleasant, helpful and efficient. This was an emergency and they were able to fit us in very quickly and were reasonably priced. Overall it was a very positive experience-- I would definitely recommend them to anyone!

Our R & S plumber was very professional. We had originally thought they were coming ''at'' 12, so were worried that they were late, but when I called they had us scheduled to come ''after'' 12. When the original plumber they had scheduled for us was caught at another job, they went ahead and sent someone else right away. After the job was complete, Keith, one of the owners, stopped by to check Mark's work and both Mark and Keith explained what had been done. I would recommend them to anyone.

They quoted a price of $300, even though I already had a water heater. Then when I asked them if they covered the DuPage County area (he's in Rolling Meadows), he laughed and said ''I am not coming all the way down there for such a small job''.

The man I originally talked with on the phone and the man who came out to do the work (Mark) were both very nice. When I called on Tuesday afternoon they were booked pretty heavily on Wednesday, but when he heard I had no running water for the shower, he immediately said that they would come out the next day. They were out early in the afternoon on Wednesday and did a great job. They really helped me out in a bind and I will definitely call them again..They were very pleasant to deal with, competent and reasonably priced. What more can you ask? I highly recommend them .

Friendly, fast and reasonably priced. They came over within 4 hours of my call and the gentleman (Andy) was very friendly and professional.

Keith returned our call on a Sunday night and even though we were somewhat out of their normal service area spent at least a half hour reviewing our potential options. Since we were flexible in our timing, he agreed to an install at our mutual convenience. He ultimately installed a unit from Jim Murray that included an integrated Rule battery backup. The $800 price included the pump, backup, battery and labor. This was less expensive than some of the options we had discussed but it was a better fit for our application (size of sump, etc.) Keith was on time, professional, and pleasant to deal with. The installation went very quickly and he disposed of the old parts. While I probably could have done the job myself with several trips to Home Depot and a few hours of cursing in the basement, I feel we benefited strongly from his experience in selecting and installing the appropriate reliable hardware for our needs. I would not hesitate to recommend their services.

Work was done on time and at price quoted with none of those suggested ''add ons''. When Keith finished there was nothing for me to put back in place or throw away, he handled everything. I was so happy I had him give me an estimate on a future project.

Called and left a message. No return call. Tried calling again and call wouldn't go through.

Wonderful...left a message for him on saturday...called us back the same day and apologized that it took a few hours b/c he was at a wedding!! Then gave us a ''try at home method'' to do first and said if that didn't work he would come on monday...well he did come and fixed it...Great guy.

Great experience with R & S! Called them in the morning and received a call back right away. They told me they were booked for the day but they would send someone in the late afternoon. Fixed the switch on the pump and is now working great. Highly recommend them, they were very east to deal with.

The plumber (I think his name was Mike) did a great job and even went out of his way to go to his home and get a brick stone from his garden that was needed to keep the new pump stable and standing above the sediment in the drain. It was a more expensive than quoted, but it took an hour more than anticipated to complete the job due to the needed positioning of the pump.

Great experience. Both the person on the phone and the plumber who came to my house were friendly and professional, and he came over within about 2 hours of me calling. I checked around for a couple of quotes and they were very competitive for the water heater $689. The add'l charge was for the faucet work.

Came out same day. Finished job early next day.

A fine job done at a reasonable price. Our new sink with new plumbing looks, and works beautifully. Keith was on time, very polite, and very knowledgeable. We would recommend R & S Plumbing.
