+ -1 moreI have dealt with this company before and been satisfied. This is a rental property I own. The company called me within a couple hours. They contacted my tenant and worked out a time that was convenient. I was quoted an approximate price before the work was done. My tenant had done "something stupid" that caused the leak in the kitchen. I was charged $18.00 for this problem. The water heater was $689.00 for replacement and worth every penny, as it was wedged between the furnace and dryer in the corner of a small room. The bathroom sink charge was $12.00. Labor total was $90.00. They were clean and timely. I'm very pleased with the work.
Description of Work: 40 gal water heater installed, kitchen leak repaired, bathroom sink leak repaired.

Did very good job working to damage as few tiles as possible (one!), so we didn't have to replace multiple tiles; that wasn't easy! There was some confusion as to if appointment was estimate or actual work to be done, but all worked out OK because they were able to do the necessary work that day.
Description of Work: Removed spicket from bathroom wall and adjusted Hot/Cold settings on sink.

He took the time to ask questions and explain things. Clearly, this is a business that is in the business of helping people and is NOT just out to make a buck. If I ever have another plumbing problem, this is the company I will call. I will tell my friends and family to call them as well.

+ -1 moreI was disappointed R&S did not spend much time trying to diagnose the problem. He did cut through the dry wall, but quickly concluded it was faulty piping and left in a huge hurry. He said he did not want to pick up the liability in case he broke something while trying to fix it. I had clearly mentioned to him the day before that this was a leak in a fire sprinkler system.
Description of Work: I had a leak in the fire sprinkler system. I had clearly mentioned this when I called R&S. The plumber mentioned that he would be able to fix it, and sometimes it is only the sprinkler head that needs changing. He came promptly the next morning and cut out a little bit of the dry wall to expose the pipe. Immediately he said that it looked like the piping was broken and he was not qualified to fix it. He left without asking for any payment, for which I was grateful. I had to search around and finally found a fire sprinkler installation specialist company - which charged a 3 hr minimum, and over $100 an hour. They came and did a very good diagnosis - and concluded that all that was required was replacing the leaky sprinkler head. The diagnosis involved a few very basic steps (e.g. turning the water off) that I was disappointed R&S did not do (even though they said they could do a day earlier). I ended up paying quite a bit for something any plumber could have fixed.

+ -1 moreMark was very polite, kind, professional, and very knowledgeable of what he was doing. I would definitely recommend this company, and will not hesitate to call them again in the future for any plumbing work.
Description of Work: I called the day before to set-up an appointment. Mark showed up at exactly 8:00 the next morning as promised. He repaired the toilet flange by attaching a plastic or PVC ring since it was all rusted out. He made sure that everything was sealed, and tight. He installed my new toilet, and everything is working fine. He cleaned everything after himself before he left.

+ -1 moreWhat can I say????? Keith and Mark were the best. I can't even believe I am saying this about plumbers after all the stories I have heard from others. They accommodated my emergency on their busy schedules and stayed until we got it figured and out and all the work completed. While they were rodding, we caught up on families and reminisced about our youth. They are truly wonderful people and excellent plumbers. Their attitude and work ethic take all the pain out of "calling a plumber."
Description of Work: Rodded out my front line both to the street and to the house. Replaced a bad ejector pump.

He was very efficient, asked questions to make sure the problem was fixed, & cleaned up after. Rate was $140/hour plus materials. Fixed a loose knob in the shower of the guest bath since it was within the hour. Job completed in 1/2 hour & the quality was top-notch. Thank goodness I now know where to go to get good help with plumbing issues.
Description of Work: Fixed leaky toilet by replacing fill valve & re-adjusting seal. Tried to do it myself, but decided I'd better go with a professional.

+ -1 moreFinally a plumber we can trust!!! I called in the evening, and Keith called back within the hour even though it was not an emergency. He scheduled an appt. for the next day, called before he came and arrived promptly. He did a thorough evaluation, tried the less expensive solution first and although he ended up having to pull the toilet up, the final cost was VERY reasonable. He also fixed a few ancillary issues, was friendly, courteous and neat. After several costly experiences with other companies (for different problems), I feel confident that R & S is a company we can trust to accurately fix our plumbing problems and do so without ripping us off. I would highly recommend them to anyone.
Description of Work: Toilet was emptying poorly and there was a leak from the pipe the led from below the toilet to sewer system.

+ -1 moreWONDERFUL! He was friendly, professional and clear in his explanations and descriptions. He called an offered to come earlier than scheduled and was only here for about an hour.
Description of Work: We had a hosebib rupture causing water to damage our finished basement ceiling and wall. We wanted to have it repaired, but didn't want to have any really invasive work done. He was not able to repair it or run a new line without lots of effort and ultimately, damage to our wall. We don't use that hook-up often, so he cut the line and capped it off to prevent any further water damage to the basement.

He told me he was willing to come (for a fee) and check it out, but he strongly suggested that I do a few things to test for myself. He was correct it was not a plumbing problem. water heater repair
+ -1 moreWe awoke in the morning to find our hot water heater had burst a hole and was gushing water in the basement (we moved into the house less than 3 weeks ago!). We had to turn the main water valve off and we were without any water. Jim arrived at our house within 60 minutes of our call, despite our being just on the outer fringe of his service area. He was very professional, careful, clean and took time to explain how to work the new heater and gave feedback on our considering a second heater (he didn't think we needed it and did not try to sell us). Work was done, including removal of old water heater, in about 90 minutes. We know he had a busy day but were VERY appreciative of his quick response to our urgent situation.

+ -1 moreCalled he company on Sat. and Jim set up an appointment for Monday since it was not yet an emergency. The valve fitting was not standard size. He went to the local supply shop and could not obtain the correct replacement size so he melted out the plastic innards and rebuilt it. The work did not take that long and the valve no longer leaks. Jim was very professional and polite. The price was a bit high in our opinion for the work performed but we would still use them again.
Description of Work: Fixed leak on pipe from line to sink to dishwasher. The valve had broken and water was dripping out into the cabinet and the floor.
