R & S Plumbing Inc

I have used this company for the last 15 years on various plumbing needs including remodeling of kitchen, replacement of bathroom sink, misc. issues such as faucet drips and regularly rotting out my sewer. They are very responsive but don't work on weekends. Always reliable, professional and friendly. Their prices are fair. I have had service from both Keith and Jim and they both provide excellent service. I ALWAYS recommened this company to all of my friends and family looking for an honest, relable plumber!

At the outset, Jim was incredibly responsive. If I had a question, he would always provide a timely response. I've had many experiences with other companies where a question could go days sometimes even weeks without a response. I'm appreciative of Jim's quick responses. The toilet I was interested in getting installed was not in stock but we set up an installation appointment considering the delivery lead time. Fortunately the toilet was delivered to Jim in time for the appointment. Jim was prompt for the appointment and was very efficient installing the new toilet. No issues came up and he was kind enough to tighten another toilet which was loose. Upon exiting, Jim left everything in the same condition as when he came in - no mess at all. I'm very pleased with R&S Plumbing and would not hesitate to use them again in the future.

We have a slow leak coming from somewhere around our tub. It's leaking into the unfinished basement. Everything is wide open and easy to see and test/replace. Jim from R&S came out as scheduled, but didn't want to do the job. After making it clear he didn't like dogs or children and was having a bad day (this was 930 or 10am), he went to the basement and took a quick look. He filled the tub up only a little bit, could not reproduce the problem, recommended we replace our old tile and tub faucet, and left as quickly as he could. We will be happy to pay a different plumber who actually wants the work to spend billable time to investigate the problem and replace pipes/tub/whatever as needed, but I guess R&S has enough work that they don't need any more. He left as quickly as he could without offering any further assistance - we won't be calling them in the future. Response: you didn't fill up the tub or else you would have seen that it seems to be coming from the overflow drain below the tub faucet, which is going out to a newish (PVC instead of the old metal pipes) drain pipe section which is easily accessible in the unfinished basement ceiling. It's dribbling down from there only when the tub is filled to that level, and doesn't seem to be coming from the tile, which is a relief. I think that overflow drain needs to be replaced or properly installed (whoever put the PVC section in could have botched the job). If you want to come back and do this, it should be a quick and easy job. You're welcome to give me a call and we'll pay you to do so when you have time; perhaps you were just having a bad morning and needed to rush off to your next job.

He was very nice, very courteous, and very pleasant. He came downstairs, and told me it would take too long to do today.

Prompt return of phone calls. Prompt on time arrival. Always cleans up after work...even the nastiest jobs!

It went well and now water flow from refrigerator water dispenser is much improved.

I really like this plumber because they are professional, prompt, and they know what they are doing. They are also reasonably priced and I feel that I am getting a good service.

Called 3 places Friday once decision was made to change the sump pump. Decided on R and S since they had done work at our home in past (multiple times) and we were satisfied. Also, their price was reasonable and what we expected the replacement should cost. Always have thought Keith and Jim were professional and efficient. Called Monday to arrange date and time. Set up service for next day and Jim arrived 30 min into the two hour window- as expected (had job before mine that he estimated would take one hour). Told me my old pump was working and confirmed that I was replacing it to be proactive. Took one hour- included reworking some piping and installed check valve I wanted.

They come properly and they seemed to be available when I need them. You don’t have to wait two weeks before you get the plumber to come.

We called R&S on a Monday morning because our main sewer line started to backup. They gave us a rough estimate of the cost over the phone and they came to our house around noon. They were able to clear the line, and they left everything clean and sanitized. They also gave us some advice as to how to better maintain the sewer line. Overall, we were very happy with the quality of the work, the professionalism, the price and the overall positive attitude they brought. We will use them again.

They do an excellent job. Keith is great.. He takes the time to explain exactly what he recommends doing and why. I feel they are very honest and their prices are competitive.

The work was done very very efficiently. R&S used a pressure plunger to quickly clear the drain. It has been problem free since the work was done.

Keith is the best. He is patient, explains everything in detail and finishes what he starts. We have well water and the controller for our main bath shower was both stripped and frozen in place. Keith had to work hard to remove the old controller to the point of needing to ue a blow torch. Keith worked very h****** this and eventually was able to remove the old controller and install a new one. He then installed a new shower head in the main bath. I had not mentioned the second contoller for the other bathroom and was concerned that he was going to just want to move on after how hard he had to work to remove the old controller, Well that was not the case at all. Keith was more than happy to fix the second controller and even prepped the shower inlet pipe with new teflon tape knowing that we were planning on replacing that shower head soon. I highly recommend Keith and will galdly use R&S again in the future!

We've used R&S a few times to rod our main line and they have been responsive to our calls, on time for the appointment, knowledgable when answering questions and very professional. This past time the workman came but did not have enough line to finish the full pipe run (our's is longer than usual and I forgot to mention it when setting the appointment). The plumber ran what he could, cleaned up and went to get the rest of the line needed. He came right back, finished the job and cleaned up again. The price had jumped somewhat since our last request 2 years ago but I did not research any other companies since they have been excellent service provider.

. R&S was prompt in calling us back with an estimate for the work, and had billed us just what the estimate was, plus for an inexpensive part. Keith was punctual, professional, friendly and easy to talk to. We will definitely consider calling R&S again should the need arise.

Overall their services were very good and they were very reasonable in price.

I was unsure how old our existing sump pump was. It turned out to have 3 more years. I opted to have a second one installed in place for when the existing one fails. This would provide approximately 10 years of coverage. A radon containment cover was removed, drilled into and reinstalled and sealed. Overall time just over 1 hour. The service man was very cordial and practical. Based on other reviews of other companies, R&S's price seems very reasonable. Would highly recommend.

I used R&S at our 90 year old house a few years ago. There were some simple problems that Keith took care of for minimal charge. Then we moved to a new house that needed a new water heater and a backup sump. Jim scheduled me the next day and showed up and took care of it. He was very reliable and trustworthy. I'd definitely use R&S again, both Keith and Jim were terrific.

Awesome! Keith is congenial, funny, honest, efficient, helpful and professional. We have a couple of more things to have done and will be having him come do those items for sure.

First I'd Iike to state that I use Angies list a lot but usually only write reviews if the service is exceptional one way or the other. Had a leaky and underperforming outdoor spigot and called R&S. Jim called me back 5 minutes later and we had an appointment set to come out the next day. The spigot was in a tight area next to a deck and the piping from inside the house was obstructed by a finished panel in the basement so this was not the easiest problem to address. Jim reviewed potential causes and actions that could be taken to resolve the issues so I understood the big picture up front. He was able to fix both problems and his costs were even lower than he first projected. He could have easily passed on the original quoted rate which I would have gladly paid, but he explained what he did and why the original quoted rate was not necessary. I found JIm to be extremely knowledgable and up-front and will recommend him to anyone I know in the area who needs an honest plumber.

Well, we moved into a home where the washer and dryer were "mini's" located behind a set of kitchen cabinets. When we purchased the home, we were led to believe that a laundry room could be set up in the basement. I called this group because of their proximity to us and their stellar reviews. The gentleman came out that morning which I was happy for. However, he immediately told me he hated this neighborhood because of all the weird rules they had. In fact, he was referring to rules from many years ago. Then he took a look at our basement and said the job could not be done and even if it could, it would be ugly (shoe-horned in) and would cost as much as installing an entire bathroom down there as none of the necessary parts were in place (gas, water, vent). He said he'd quote it if I really wanted him to, but for all intents and purposes, it couldn't be done in a worthwhile manner. I believed him! We started looking for all kinds of "creative" ways to get the washer/dryer out of the kitchen. Luckily, we were saved by a network of people who all "know someone" - long and short, the installation of our new laundry room is almost complete. It cost us $1300 in labor plus materials. It's fantastic. Conclusion: he probably just didn't want the job. Maybe didn't want to deal with cutting any drywall. He should've just said that as we could easily have made a big mistake if someone didn't set us straight. Can't recommend him.

Called R+S for an estimate on the above plumbing work. They called back same day and set up an appointment to view my house and all that needed to be done. Keith arrived ontime and gave me a detailed explanation and an estimate on the spot. 2 weeks later and after a few conversations on the phone, I set up a day and time for Keith to come out. He arrived ontime and worked a full day to complete job. All done cleanly and professionally...no issues whatsoever. Bottom line he worked his tail off and did the job right. It wasn't an easy job but Keith made it look easy from his experience in the field. Very pleasant having him in my home. All is working well. I would hire again!! Honest, full of integrity and a job done right. Sure I probably could have found someone a bit cheaper but the peace of mind of Keith doing it right the first time was priceless.

This company is outstanding, they came out incredibly professional, would not quit till the work was done correctly. Took the time to explain what options were available to me, made recommendations, and ultimately did as I requested. I truly appreciated the prompt service, professionalism, and thoroughness of the job. I would highly recommend this organization and would definitely use them in the future, should the need arise!
