Went precisely as expected and I was delighted with the overall knowledge and professionalism.

I was very happy with them. They were very helpful. Even the woman who answered the phone was very helpful. I was going to replace the leaking kitchen sink, but she told me to call the manufacturer. She saved me some money that way. The quality of their work was excellent and they were punctual.

They came out immediately, Keith was our service agent. He was nicest, most polite man we have dealt with. The next day it backed up again (on a Sunday). He came out and dug a little deeper. There was not charge for this return. We had to call once more 6 weeks later. He came out again and charged us only half the service call. Everything was about customer service with them. Everything was so nice and it was a pleasure to work with them.

They are johnny on the spot. They show up right when they say that they are going to show up. Whenever I have a problem with them I can call them right up and they will come out. Their price is fair. They always do just what they say that they are going to.

They are fair. If they screw up something or one of their guys screw up, you don?t pay for it. You do not even pay for a service call. I have been happy with their work.

Staff are nearly always friendly & honest and available to come out on same day. Faucet works great.

Nothing to tell, he did a good job.

The service manager Keith Durso did this no problem in about 15 minutes. My wife showed him where we cut the BBQ out which now had a deep hole I was intending to fill with concrete. Keith saw the concrete bag and told my wife he could do that for us since there was an hour minimum. This was way above and beyond the call of duty and I appreciated not having to do it myself. I wasn't there but my wife said Keith was very helpful and a superb nice guy with good Karma as she put it. Thanks Keith for checking that task off my to do list for me!!

Everything went great! I originally spoke with Jim on the phone and setup a time for Keith to come by later in the week. That morning, Keith called to let me know he was running a little early and asked if that would be OK. Within 10 minutes, Keith came by and was such pleasure to have in our home. Keith is polite, courteous (takes his shoes off), friendly and VERY knowledgeable. He had several things fixed in just over an hour and did a great job. Additionally, I'm very inquisitive and like to learn and ask questions and Keith was so helpful in explaining things to me. I really appreciate good quality customer service and companies that understand how important the relationships they forge with their customers are. That day, we got a new plumber, and Keith and Jim got a new loyal customer.

Our manufactured composite stone sink had cracked. We received a new sink from the manufacturer under warranty. Keith from R & S came out to remove the old one and replace with the new sink, and to fix the faucet. Installation went smoothly on the sink and the faucet. When he did not have the faucet part, he was able to go to his parts supplier and return with it within an hour, thereby completing the job in one day. This was very helpful, as I had taken time off from work to be there for this job. I have always found R & S to be knowledgeable, professional and customer focused. We have used them many times over the past 10 years.

During renovation, sink and washer weren't used for 2 weeks. They then overflowed, did not drain, as gunk had hardened when pipes dried out. Keith came out promptly,did excellent work, was very polite, charged a fair price. He ensured every work area was spotless prior to his leaving. Everything now works perfectly.

I went downstairs but minutes later he came down with my shower massage ($48.00) in his hand. He told me it was also crappy and had snapped during the installation. He replaced it with a cheap chrome shower head from his truck. Instead of using my new cute spigot which he said he couldn't fit, he put in a cheap chrome spigot from his truck. He told me he would deduct the cost of the broken shower massage from my bill. He seemed so hyper and kept making comments like how ugly my old fixtures were and how old my house was and that it was haunted. When he installed the new cartridge, for some reason it shut all the water off to the fixtures. I heard him upstairs swearing and carrying on. Instead of offering to fix the problem and replace the faucet he told me he had to leave, that my house was haunted but hey he wouldn't charge me anything at all for the call and he felt bad but some problems just couldn't be fixed. Let's see..everything was working when he arrived...nothing working when he leaves but hey, he won't charge me. He owed ME $48.00 for the broken shower head as far as I was concerned. He was so abrasive, I just wanted to get him out of there. He left and I called tech support to see if they could help me with the cartridge. Tech support told me to go down to the main shut off and shut off the water. When I did that, I found that the main shut off valve which he had been turning on and off had sprung a leak and my whole lower level was flooded. I had to call my village to turn off the water from the outside, then call another plumber to come out and put in a new main shut off valve for $200.00 bucks. Then the next day I had to have a real plumber come out and install all new fixtures for me. The new guy who came out from Roto Rooter was wonderful. He put booties on his feet before walking through the house. He said the job I was requesting was extremely common and had no problem doing everything I asked. Here is the clincher. Friday night my husband called Keith hoping to allow R & S to make up for the shoddy treatment the day before and to give them the benefit of the doubt and allow them to fix the problems they had caused. Keith did not bother to call back but the next day Jim did. He told me that I was just one of those people in life who would never be happy no matter what he did. He was rude and abusive and although I tried to explain how he made me feel he would not let me get a word in edgewise. So, we gave them a chance to make it up to us and redo the job correctly and they spit it right back in our faces. Too bad. We love family businesses but will not be able to refer R & S ever again. I recommend calling Chris at Roto Rooter for professional, respectful service. What a difference it made the next day when Chris arrived to the rescue. I will not recommend R & S again.

After some slight flooding in my crawl space, my water heater did not work. I called R&S Plumbing to schedule an appointment for somebody to look at it. Instead, I got GREAT advice in how to 1. check to see if the manufacturer's warranty would cover it and 2. how to "dry it out". I followed the advice and my water heater is up and running again and I didn't have to spend 1 cent.

Went great. I have a larger water heater that the last person to install one for me wouldn't do because of the work involved.

Things went very well, they were very friendly, explained what needed to be done and why, then did it. The drain was cleared, and all works well.

When we were buying our home Keith was the one who came to take a look at the crawl space and recommend his opinion. He seemed honest and good. He also indicated that there was no mold in the crawl space (in retrospection he should have kept his thoughts to himself as he is not qualified). So Keith still was our natural choice before our plumbing issues began because he showed honesty in his mannerisms. The first time Keith came out we were very impressed with his way of working and he fixed the shower head. Then the bathtub started leaking again so we called him again and he fixed the drain pipes. After a week we noticed that the bath tub leaked water again as the ceiling underneath it leaked water. Keith said he guarantee's his work and so we called him again. The lady gave us an appt. for a Wednesday noon. Keith did not show up till 1pm, I called and the lady was rude and said he was delayed in the previous work. Then this process went on till 5 pm till I realized he's not going to be coming. Lady at the office did not call me ever, I had to keep calling her. I had taken a day off from work so my day was wasted. Then at the last call I made to the lady at office, she told I would have to reschedule. She gave me another work day as the weekends R&S plumbing don't work. I picked up a weekday again and fixed the first appt. He came, apologized for the earlier appt. being missed. (My day was still wasted, how does the apology make up for that?) and fixed the shower head and said that - it was leaking. He did not charge us anything but I was surprised that it was leaking. Luckily we had not fixed the ceiling dry wall under the bathroom (from the first time), else we would have to do it again! The shower once fixed should not have leaked again. That is bad quality! Keith in the second time did not charge for the leaky faucet, which is good but it should not have leaked in the first place. What if we had fixed the dry wall under the bathtub then would he have paid for the damage to the new dry wall and paint job? Also the faucet in the bathroom was leaking and Keith fixed it the first time he came to fix our bathroom. He did fix without breaking tiles etc but it still leaks drops of water and I am concerned with the waste of water/water bill etc. I would have done it fully, remove tiles and replace faucet but this was never a suggestion from Keith. This is again bad. Further the office is fully booked. Only Keith is the person who is preferred by customers. Overall I did not have a good experience. We called him for 6 to 7 plumbing issues in our home. Out of which 3 major ones are still problematic. I think first time customers are treated well then later on they response dies off. I am now looking for other plumbers on Angies list and will not use Keith again!

They are real good and I am very satisfied with their work. I once had a problem with a leak in the ceiling and he fixed that. He has also done something in the basement for me. Pete Durso is excellent and I always ask for him. He always shows up on time and is very good. My overall experience has been excellent and I rate them very highly on all counts.

Jim estimated the job at $1600 for removing and replacing a 40 gallon water heater with a 50 gallon unit in the basement. The cost was a little higher since it was a power vent unit versus normal flue venting. The installation went quickly and hot water was flowing in about 3 hours total. A couple of disappointments. Jim insisted that the unit would be quiet (power vents have electrical fan blowers attached to them), but the unit is anything but that. It is louder than my washing machine and dryer, you can hear it buzzing on the first floor (you can't hear the washing machine or dryer at all and they are located next to the water heater). While I don't blame the noise on Jim, I wish he could have consulted better on how loud the unit was especially since I am trying to finish out my basement and have livable area there. There are units that are $200 more that are "direct vents" that do not have a fan blower attached (hence no noise), which I would have gladly paid for if I knew how loud the power vents were upfront. The other thing that was a little disappointing was that the unit could have been vented in 2, 3, or 4 inch piping. I already had a 4 inch hole cut to the outside of the house, but Jim attached 2 inch piping so I have to fill in the voided area myself. If he used 4 inch piping, I am betting that it would lower the noise level of the blower (less pressure blowing out a 4 inch pipe versus 2 inch) and I would not have to do additional work.

I had a little problem and they came out the next week. They reran the pipe and that took care of the problem. I was really happy with it. It looks like it's the only thing well done in the basement. I like the guys a lot.

Our sewage ejector pump had been acting funny for several months. Finally, one Sunday morning, my husband awoke to the sound of the pump grinding away but not ejecting anything. We unplugged it and called R&S to leave a non-emergency message on their answering machine. Since the sewage pit drains only the lower level bathroom (and we have two others) we could wait. We received a call-back ON SUNDAY no less, to schedule the repair. The repairman showed up right on schedule and diagnosed the problem. Although he could have pushed for replacement, he explained that we had the option of repairing it (at lesser cost), but that due to the age of the unit, it would likely fail again within a year or so. We appreciate his honest assessment. We opted to just replace now, but we're glad he offered the repair option.

I was happy with them. They came out quickly and did the job fast. One man came out. It was a pretty typical problem, I explained it over the phone and they had the parts. They were a little expensive. I have a person I usually call but they were on vacation.

We called R & S between 10 - 11 a.m. - by 12 noon Keith was knocking at our door. He was very calm and reassuring and told us not to worry , he would find the leak. He drilled a few holes, looked around with his camera and found the leak and repaired it. He was very clean and was careful with my home - first time I have ever experienced that with a plumber. It was a weekend and time and a half rate, but compared to other emergency plumbing services I have had I thought he was very reasonable. I will never use another plumber - he has my business as long as he is in business!

As usual, I requested and got an appointment with Keith the genius plumber in two days. Also as usual, Keith was very efficient and came fully prepared with a brand-new handle for the 20+ year old toilet and all the tools/supplies necessary to reseal the 2 year old toilet. Keith was also kind enough to adjust the 2 year old sink drain trap that has never worked correctly since its installation. Thanks Keith!!

Prompt arrival. Fixed bathroom faucet leaks. The tub faucet works perfectly. The sink faucet (cold) still leaks on occasion (it may be the cheap faucet the former owners installed). Also cleaned out both drain traps. The water feature on the fridge now works perfectly - the plumber installed copper tubing to replace damaged plastic tube. (Can't find receipt so not sure of exact $ spent - it was in the $200-300 range.)
