Very prompt, very honest. Advised us to purchase a new washing machine rather than charging us more to make temporary repairs. Would hire them again.

We worked with Svilen Gadzhov. The refrigerator was freezing food. Svilen responded to our call on the same day. He first replaced the damper and when that didn't fix the problem, he read online technical bulletins and did other research to determine if other parts could be replaced. Based on his research, he replaced a sensor. The problem was fixed. Our tenants told us that the refrigerator is now working like new! Svilen kept me informed during the whole process including when he was unable to reach our tenants to make an appointment. He also informed me about having to replace the mother board if the other part replacements didn't work and what the cost would be so that I could make an informed decision. He was exceptionally responsive and worked well with our tenants to schedule is visits at their convenience. I am very pleased with the service from Svilen and GSR!

The servicer took apart the washer to determine the noise I was hearing. He was able to make a modification so that the noise stopped without charging me for replacing a part. He leveled the machine to help the laundry to wring properly. He also check the hoses to make sure everything was draining properly. He completely the repair quickly and promptly (I called the same day the service was performed.

The dryer had been making noise but quit suddenly about 3:30 PM. I called late afternoon after calling other providers who were unable to schedule a service call for at least a day, and Svilen was able to come approximately an hour later. I had recently had surgery and was unable to lift or carry anything. Svilen had a needed part, he moved wet clothes out of the dryer, did the repairs, cleaned the vent and replaced the clothes in the dryer and showed me that it was working. He cleaned up the work area, and did the work for the estimated price plus the cost of the part I had not previously ordered. G.S.R. Co, and Svilen in particular was punctual, responsive, professional and polite. I would call this company again without hesitation for appliance repair.

I found him from a special for $99. He came out very quickly. My problem was, every time I used the water feature on the door of the refrigerator, it would continue dripping afterward. Of course, he came and it would not drip a drop! He pulled the refrigerator out and looked at the part that controls that. No dripping and no sign of previous dripping. He suggested that since the part was very expensive, he'd replace the water filter (it hadn't been replaced in a while) and see if that helped. The very next day, the thing started dripping again!! When I called him again, we talked about replacing that part, but since that part looked fine and was expensive and he couldn't say for sure if that would solve the problem, we decided not to replace the part and not use the water feature. The refrigerator is about 7 years old so we didn't think it was worth it. So, no, he technically did not fix it but that was our call. He said he would come back and take things apart, etc, but we felt it wasn't worth it since it did not affect how the refrigerator operated otherwise. He seemed very knowledgeable and I would have him again.

We have always had a difficult time trying to find quality people to do appliance repair. After working with several bigger name companies that service the North Shore we were frequently disappointed. Svilen of GSR Appliance Repair did a great job. I called him on a Sunday evening and he was able to order a part and get it in by Monday afternoon. He fixed my broken dishwasher that had multiple issues and was adept in fixing a Miele. Not many people can fix a Miele. Although this repair was expensive, I think his pricing was fair and honest because this machine(unfortunately) requires expensive parts. He did the job and made sure that I was aware of the dishwashers working condition before he left our home. He worked quietly on this job until it was complete and I found him respectable and honest. I would certainly use him again.

He was on time and to the point. He did not try to talk us into repairs.

Our Bosch dishwasher had been running nonstop and would not cycle off. I purchased the deal on Angie's List on Sunday and I called Monday around 4:30 to verify everything went through. It had and we scheduled a time to have it looked at on Wednesday. He said that he maybe able to make it later that night, but was unsure and would let me know. About an hour later I got a phone call and he was on his way. He could not have been more of a pro, he came in ran some tests figured out it was a relay on the circuit board. He fixed it but said that if it does not work then we would need a new machine. He said to run the dishwasher and call him if it worked. When it would be finished running he said to call him even though it would be late. On his way out he noticed a knob missing on our cook top, he took out his phone and found the part and told me where to buy it. Happy ending to the story, the dishwasher worked and it finished its cycle around 8:30 so I figured I would call the next morning and not to bother him, but no more that 5 minutes later he called to check up. Great service, great guy who treated my family with respect.

I found the company on Angie's list and they were listed as a Chicago land company however when I called they informed me they will not service downtown Chicago because it is too expensive to do so. They were unable to help me even after I had purchased a coupon for the services. I understand but was very disappointed.

Svilen was very professional and punctual. Provided same day service and resolved the issue in one visit. Would highly recommend.

Svilen came the same day I called. He checked out a refrigerator noise I didn't like (we moved into a home with existing appliances). He explained the refrigerator design and why the noise was normal. He then repaired the dishwasher that had simply quit working. He worked quickly and knew what he was doing,

I called Svilen for an appointment and he was available and at my house within a half hour. He was knowledgeable and friendly and diagnosed the problem immediately as a bad heating coil. He had the parts and repaired the dryer quickly. He even replaced some screws on the lint tray holder that I didn't know were missing. Fantastic service.

Prompt and efficient...very knowledgable. He fixed our fridge which has been not working correctly since we purchased it new...even the factory warranty guys couldn't solve our issues...Svilen did in just over an hour...he knows his stuff and is an excellent and knowledgable appliance professional...I would call him again for any of our appliances. Too bad he doesn't fix cars too!

Svilen responded and scheduled an appointment quickly. He called ahead when he was on his way, as promised, and it was well within the time frame he had previously mentioned. He had an idea of what was wrong from my description of the problem over the phone, so he was prepared with the correct parts. He had asked for the model number of my dryer and had the appropriate motor with him. He quickly confirmed his diagnosis and made the replacement. Then he went above and beyond, checking to see if my vent was clear and if there were any gas leaks. He showed me the interior workings of my dryer and explained how it worked and how he made his diagnosis. He was very friendly and professional.

When I called this company, I was able to get immediate response and was able to schedule an appointment the next day. Svilen came out to diagnose the problem with my fridge and gave me his advice. At the time, I decided it wouldn't be cost effective to fix it and decided I would purchase a new one. I paid him and thanked him for the service he provided and didn't expect anything else. I later received a called from him and apparently he did some additional research on my behalf and informed me that the part that needed to be replaced was covered under warranty and I would have to work through the manufacturer's preferred repair company. It's hard to find great service and people who would go above and beyond to work in your best interest! Although he wouldn't get anything else out of this transaction, I would definitely keep him in mind for future services.

I saw a deal in my email for $99.00 fro 2 hours work. I called on Saturday morning and left a message. Svilen Gadzhov called me back right away. He said that he repaired toves. I described the problem and he said that it sounded like the igniter. I told him I was in Evanston and he said he could be there that afternoon about 1 or 2 PM. He was there at 2 PM. Svilen pulled out the stove, examined itand told me that I needed not one but two igniters. He had brought one in with him and went out to the vehicle for a second one. Iremarked about how smart to keep parts in his vehicle. He said he always does because making extra trips was not profitable. All in all, in a one hour vivit, he analyzed and repaired the problem. he left my kitchen neat, too. The total cost was $257. That was OK with me. He did provide two igniters and the oven and broiler now work fine.

Honest, fast, and exceptional service

Svilen was very responsive when I requested service, and able to come within 2 days to service a connection oven/microwave and dishwasher. He contact me while en route, was on time, courteous, and respective of my home by taking care to cover surfaces he was working on. He was able to fix the microwave oven/convection, as well as my dishwasher which had a small issue I forgot to tell him about in advance.He thoroughly tested both appliances not just to make sure they worked, but to make sure I was personally satisfied with his work. These two repairs took about 90 minutes, and the cost was $330 (all labor, no parts needed). Finding quality, professional service professionals like Svilen is why I value Angie's List so much. I had a great experience, will contact him without hesitation should any of my other appliances have an issue, and definitely recommend him to others. Call Svilen if you have an appliance issue, I am confident you will be as satisfied as I am, along with everyone else on Angie's List.

Very responsive...came out far more quickly than we expected...very professionable and knowledgable...nice guy too! We bought our fridge a couple of years ago and had nothing but trouble with it and the factory warranty service came out at least 5 or 6 times and replaced all kinds of parts but never fixed the fridge...so, when warranty ran out, we called Great Services and he came out and solved everything right away...he really knows what he is doing and the fridge finally works like it should have from new...Highly recommended!!!

Service was quick and efficient. I used an Angie's List deal which only covered the labor and the part was an additional $85. I appreciated the quick response time and the machine has been working well since. Would use again for sure.

Svilen did an excellent job!!! Very courteous, prompt, and efficient. I wish we had called this company earlier....as we had a lot of problems with the appliance repair company we dealt with in the past. Svilen answered our call, was able to come in the same day, and quickly replaced the part that was defective. I whole heartedly recommend this company and would call them again.

The service owner was prompt and had taken the time to find out ahead of time by phone what we thought the problem was. When he arrived, he checked all the potential issues that could be causing the ice maker not to function, including water pressure in the house, etc. and then he replaced the motor. He returned a second time, because he called and told us that he had been thinking about another issue that might be interfering with the ice maker and the freezer itself, besides repairing what we had asked him to do, and at no additional charge came out again and adjusted the setting for the temperature in the freezer. It all works fine now. We were so impressed with his technical knowledge and his outstanding customer service. It was a problem he wanted to solve for us, not only to our complete satisfaction but to his. He is at the top of the list of service providers that we have had over the years.

We had a great experience with GSR. We had smelled gas yesterday afternoon. After Nicor came out to inspect. Nicor recommended we have our dryer inspected just to make sure everything was running okay. I contacted GSR shortly after business hours. I was surprised he answered the phone. He said he could come the next day between 10-12. He called 20 mins before arriving around 11ish. Prompt, professional and polite. He inspected the gas dryer and offer to inspect the gas stove. It was a positive experience.

I purchased a $99 Big Deal for a Large Appliance Repair. I spoke to the owner about my 11 year old front-loading washing machine and he agreed to come the following business day. He gave me a time frame and then called the day of service to let me know he was on the way. Since I had done some of my own research, the owner was able to bring the recommended part with him. Once the box was opened, the owner noticed that the seal had an extra opening in it. While it shouldn't impact the performance, he asked if I would be home while he went back to the parts supplier to exchange it. He returned and completed the job. Since I was working from home, I had to start a conference call about the same time he was wrapping up the service. He understood the need to be quiet and wrote down a note for me to call him when the washing machine cycle ended. During that time, he contacted the manufacturer for my washer to verify the repair. He was very concerned that the service be completed to my satisfaction and shared the feedback from the manufacturer. I would absolutely hire Great Services & Repair Appliances for future repair needs.
