It went well. Provided great Service.

He spent about 40minutes doing an evaluation and advised that the system was functioning as it should.

The service was prompt and they came on Saturday which was convenient for me. the only issue I had was when the servicer said I needed three pounds of freeon, I asked him how much it was and he said $80. I repeated the amount and he agreed. when he left he said, no it was $80 per pound, so the freeon alone was $240.00 and the humidifier filter was $45 plus what I paid on Angie's list. Was a little upset, but I figured for the promptness I would chalk it up to experience.

American Star Residential Service came out and gave me brilliant advice. He came in and told me that if my heater broke, they don't even make spare parts for it anymore. It was 30 or whatever years old and I was skating on borrowed time, which is why I went to replace it. His company was one of the companies that I got a bid from, but as far as the heater inspection, they did very well. He was great. He came in and did his thing. He did the service, but the main value was that my unit was on its way out and if it would have happened while it was zero degrees outside, they would have been busy and I would have been in trouble. I was very, very upfront and told me what I suspected anyway, that the thing was in trouble. Also, it had some cracks and it was a really good time to get rid of it. The Angie's Deal was a good deal.

Jim was great, as usual. There right on time, very professional. I really like dealing with this company. They put in a new A/C unit for us last year.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It worked out well. There were no additional charges. This was the first time I used them. I was the one who set the appointment, they were very courteous and easy to work with on the phone, and I know the gentleman seemed very knowledgeable. It was just a check, there were no immediate concerns, he did point out a few things that we should watch because of the age of the unit. If we do have any more concerns, we would call them.

American Star Residential Service was very good. I liked them. I didn't spend more than the big deal purchase. They came out promptly. They were professional and courteous. With the situation of the furnace, he gave me advice on how to maintain it. He really didn't try to up-sell me anything. All in all, he seemed like an honest broker. It was a good experience.

I wanted the service man to show up for A/C serving close to 6pm and definitely after 5pm, as I am not home till 5pm, but the service man shows up at 3pm. When I called up to reschedule and ask why my request for later time not honored - it becomes an argument with owner that they never promised the scheduled time and they can show up anytime between 4 - 6 pm. I had specifically called them before I bought the service thru Angieslist and told them my work schedule and if they can work with me and come in after 5 and hopefully close to 6pm. They assured me, it wouldn't be a problem but they seem to have forgotten all about it or have not made a note of the request and it became an argument with owner. Din't seem like a professional bunch to work with and I had wasted 2 weeks waiting for them.

Jim was punctual, and immediately began inspecting my central air unit. He noticed moisture on flue pipe, and recommended it be insulated. He completed the tune-up of the unit, and I have had no problems. Very professional.

They did an excellent job. They cleaned up well. They sent us a thank you letter and candies after the service. I thought that was neat.

Eh. It was okay. He didn't come across as very adept or knowledgeable.

I was very pleases with the repairman, he was very courteous, efficient, assessed the problems quickly, and advised me of the parts needed. He ordered them and was back in a few days to install them.

He arrived on time. He found the system to be low on refrigerant. Explained to me the options and gave me time to discuss the options with my wife. No pressure at all. We elected to seal the lines and charge the system. Time spent was reasonable (I don't other experiences to compare to). he did not appear careless or rushed and took the time to answer my questions.

He showed up, did his work diligently, was not creepy, and I was satisfied with the overall experience.

Fantastic!! We were without heat on a very cold Saturday night late in the evening. We called and Jeff from American Star showed up in under an hour. He worked from 7:15 PM until 9:15 PM and there were no additional labor charges even though it was after hours! We had them out to do a clean and inspect several weeks back at which time he warned us that the blower was going. Yes, we heard noises to confirm that but with the rush of the Holidays put it off. Sure enough, it went bad. I was so relieved that American Star was able to accommodate us after hours and still charged the same price as the quote several weeks earlier. I will use their services in the future because they are the best! Jeff was very knowledgeable and professional.

Family organization, which to me is critical - you deal direct with the stake-holders. They have always been very responsive, helpful, informative, accommodating & fair/competitive. Everything in the process went smooth - Initial call, return call, visit for inspection prior to quote, quotation, scheduling, installation, return call for start-up. Always polite, professional, complete, etc. Willing to respond in a friendly manner to my many, many questions and requests for support information. The only suggestion I might make, is that their quotations should be more detailed, but that's just me, I like to get a lot of detail that most customers probably don't care about - but everything that we covered verbally was done as promised.

The servicemen were on time and worked like a well oiled machine. We will keep them though as they really care about the products they offer and the services they provide. We are in good hands

When we purchased our house we noticed that one side of the house heated and cooled great, while the other felt like you were outside. The previous owner had 3 other companies try to fix the system with everything from installing an in-duct fan to insulating the ductwork to re-installing a new furnace. Nothing worked. After purchasing an Angies List coupon for furnace cleaning from American Star I asked them if they knew what could be wrong. They sent 3 people out to look at it and determined it was the ductwork. They spent 2 days re-designing the whole system and re-running all the ducts in the basement. The second day 2 guys stayed nearly to 8:30 at night. The house heats evenly - FINALLY! Sounds like something pretty small but it makes a huge difference. These guys are top notch - wouldn't use anyone else.

They were prompt and did the work as promised. They went through the results of the inspection when they were finished.

I found the coupon on Angie's list and made an appointment. The tech came out a little late but within a resonable time. He provided the service and tried to sell me additional service but there was no hardsell more like suggestions.

The service was fine. They did not try to sell anything extra.

Very good. I was impressed with the amount of work two men did to clean all the ducting. Did not realize it was such a big job. They we constantly working for almost 5 hours. They covered my floors for there track path. I was very impressed with there dedication to there work. Just felt like I got more than my money's worth? My heating and air condition will always be covered by this company.

The guys arrived right on time and went straight to work. They spent about 5 hours at the house and did a great job. They cleaned up before they left, explained everything they were doing and in general were super nice and professional. Our furnace sounded about twice as powerful as soon as they were done. My son stopped sneezing and the house is actually cleaner. I could not be more pleased and plan on having them back every year.
