I got hung up on.
Description of Work: I called and got hung up on as soon as the person picked up the phone and gave me the greeting. Called back and could not get past the hold music for over 5 min.

Description of Work: Coldest day of the winter and our furnace gave up. Actually, turned out that the blower motor froze on us. The tech was great! Knowledgeable, friendly, and PROMPT!!! When you have a family of 4 dressed in parkas, that promptness can save a marriage. Took him only four hours or so to diagnose, get a replacement part, and fix the furnace. Will call them again for my A/C unit, too.

Description of Work: They did a complete ducting and vent cleaning with an outside gigantic vacuum which ran into the house and crawl space, then attached to furnace area. Job too almost 4 hours. While it was sucking all the crud out of my entire system the two men went and cleaned each vent and return.

The service man - Evan - came out and installed our humidifier. He was very clean, very knowledgeable. He explained everything about the unit. He came out to our house around 11:30 am and finished the job within the 4 hour range we were given at the initial appointment. We are very happy with the work done. Would recommend this company to anyone.
Description of Work: After 26 years we had a whole house humidifier installed. We were tired of using the portable ones for each room.

Al, the owner, came out and gave us several options based on what we discussed with him. Although American Star was not the lowest price, we felt we were getting the best value because of the equipment he provided and his experience in the industry. On the day of the installation, a full crew came out to insure the install was done in one day. These technicians were nothing short of incredible. The furnace and humidifier fit perfectly in a very small spot. It certainly was a custom installation. I would certainly use their services again and I very highly recommend them.

American Star was higher priced than the other two quotes I got, but I feel they did a great job. The installers even noticed some piping for my hot water heater hadn't been installed properly so they took it apart and fixed it while they were here.
