Aladdin Doors

These guys are 100% fantastic! They came out to replace the bottom rubber seal on the garage door, which the old one had some damage. They also performed a door tune up. At first they couldn't get the new seal to completely close the gap between the door and the garage floor. It turned out my door had either been improperly installed originally (by a different contractor) or the door no longer fit correctly when we had our garage concrete floor replaced. Whatever the cause, Aladdin Doors completely readjusted the door, including moving the rails and moving up the door tension-er. Now the door completely seals to the floor and it's installed properly now. Then afterward they gave me a call to make sure I was 100% happy with the job. I would absolutely recommend these guys and use them again in the future.

The garage tune up was done and during the inspection it was found that the rollers needed to be replaced. So they were replaced which was worth it to make sure that the door was in good working order. Everything went well and I would use them again.

Cord came off over the weekend so I called Aladdin on Monday and they set a time of 3-5 pm. I received a call around 10:30 am that Carlos was on his way. He put the cord back on and checked the rest of the door. He did a great job and was very professional. I will use them again if I ever have another garage door issue. They honored their coupon for $59 for a tune up which I greatly appreciated. Carlos also expressed the danger with trying to repair doors on your own, so don't attempt to tinker with it on your own.

Carlos arrived at the time promised and got right to work inspecting my garage door. I had told him about an occasional recurring issue with it not closing flush to the frame at times. The rollers were very worn, nineteen years old, and he suggested replacing them. After he installed the rollers and performed the tune up the movement of the door is smoother and quieter and forms a perfect seal when closed. I was very comfortable with his advice, satisfied with the quality of work and professionalism and will use Aladdin in the future to replace the springs. I highly recommend this service provider!

Alex from Aladdin Doors arrived within the window of time we were told he'd be here. He was pleasant and helpful. He did all of the tune-ups we were promised and then repaired our door that hadn't functioned properly in years. He even helped us replace the lightbulbs in the overhead of our garage and showed us how to program our door opener. We are *really* pleased -- thank you!

Very responsive to our request to repair garage door. Arranged their schedule to meet our needs and kept us informed throughout the process. The technician (Tom) called to let me know that he was going to be late. Tom was very professional and explained what was going on with my opener and explained what he had done and how to operate the new opener.

Sam was very professional, arrived early and finished quickly. Our noisy garage door now runs smoothly and quietly thanks to his work. In addition, he was very knowledgable and informed me about the quality and life of the overall equipment. He even did the small details like changing the bulbs and programming the time for the garage door module. Great vendor.

It was short, friendly and professional. During the initial call we scheduled a time and date. Sam showed up on the agreed day 5 minutes early. We talked for a little bit. I described the problem ( the spring looks like it is about to give in ) and after checking up the setup, he proceeded to change it. It didn't take very long ( maybe 20-30 minutes ). We talked briefly about potential future maintenance and he gave me some pointers. Like most people, I hate spending money. I think that is why I ended up giving B for price, but reality is, if I have another door/garage issue, I will be calling them for help.

Purchased replacement spring special on Friday, was called on Monday to setup an appointment and there by Wednesday. Transaction was seemless and the work was great! Will definitely use them again when it's time to replace the garage door.

Excellent service! We scheduled on a Tuesday for Thursday which we then moved to Friday. Aladdin gave us a two-hour window: Friday between 8am - 10am, and at 8:15am their technician, Mark, showed up and went right to work. We had purchased on Angie's List their $195 garage door spring replacement special. Mark explained that for $40 for each of the two springs ($80) we could get a lifetime warranty rather than the standard 4-year warranty and a higher quality spring, so we did that, so our total bill was $275. Mark completed the work and our garage door works great again. We were very impressed with Aladdin's professionalism on the phone and in person, and their follow-up notes of confirmation and paid invoice on line. We recommend them highly and would definitely use them again, although we hope our garage door just as its normal ups and downs for many years to come and won't need repairs for a long time.

I called Aladdin early in the day as the spring on my garage door broke the night before. Tom arrived promptly and gave me a summary of what needed to be done. He seemed very experienced (16 years in the business) and professional. I needed new springs, possibly new center brackets and new rollers (as some were not in good shape). When I told him I was with Angie's list he made sure that I knew of the current coupons/offers. He performed the work quickly and carefully and even helped me program my car remote for the garage! He went over everything with me and even showed me what to do to maintain my door longer. I was very pleased with everything and will definitely call him if I have problems in the future.

They scheduled the appointment very quickly. Arrived on time. While replacing the spring they noticed that wheels were very worn. Advised that they will need replacement in the future. They did not push or pressure the additional work needed. I did have them replace them at this time due to the explanation, professionalism, honesty and, friendliness of the staff. I will use them again for any garage door needs.

I purchased one of the Big Deals here. Within four business hours, I was contacted and work scheduled within the week. Tom, our installer, was really knowledgeable and very friendly. He was excellent with communication when he got caught up a little late by traffic, which I really appreciated, and have advice on how to maintain the garage opener and the other mechanisms (rollers and springs) to get the most out of our new purchase. Best of all, he's left a half-off coupon for any future maintenance. Absolutely would use this company and technician again.

I am a real estate agent in Chicago and as such I deal with contractors all the time in the process of helping clients get their homes in order. I had not worked with many garage door companies, however, and found Aladdin through Angie's list. The guys I spoke with on the phone were patient in answering some of the technical questions I had about the install and the specific garage door opener/ features I wanted. They were also accommodating with my hectic schedule and squeezed me in on short notice between my other appointments. My installer, Tom, was fantastic. He has been an installer for 16 years and it showed. His install was fast, technically sound and neat. He didn't cut corners and I could tell he genuinely cared about the quality of the work he was doing. Even though it was late on a Friday afternoon, he was methodical in checking the garage door system and tuning up some of the components that weren't in perfect shape. After the garage door was working like a Swiss watch, he went thorough all of the operational options with me and helped me set up some of the user preferences. I've been using the garage door for a couple weeks and love it. A huge upgrade from the old one in every way. I will not hesitate to refer any of my clients to Aladdin and will insist that they ask for Tom- he is the man.

I tried one of the Angie's List deals to get a new garage door opener installed. Aladdin responded to my request in a couple of hours and together, we scheduled an appointment for the next day. The installer came 30 minutes early and quickly removed my old opener and installed the new one. Total time was about 1 hour. He was for the most part, friendly and professional and offered me tips on how to maintain the door. He was not aware of the financial arrangements made through Angie's list and so I had to explain it to him. Also, he charged me for an optional keypad entry system. I "thought" it was supposed to be part of the deal, but I wasn't sure so I paid it. He claimed it wasn't. It turns out it should have been included, so now I have to go back and recoup that money. Overall, he did a fine job installing... no complaints. UPDATE: Aladdin immediately called me and made things correct with the keypad. Great customer service and I will gladly use them again.

They were on time came right when they said they would. Very professional and came in introduced himself and went right to work. He gave me my options for repair and once I told him what I wanted he began our work. Applied my discounts and I paid my bill. Will use again and tell friends about them:)

Our old torsion spring broke. I have ordered the replacement springs online and, after unsuccessful efforts to install and properly tighten them on my own (the door would not open, or would open very heavily), I have placed an online request to Aladdin through their web site in early am, past midnight. Several hours later, at about 7:00 am, their office got back to me and were able to send a technician over that same morning. Technician Alex was very courteous and helpful, and explained that the springs I had bought online, while correct dimensions (length, diameter, and wire gauge), were too weak for our heavy wooden garage door. And he had installed two new correct torsion springs, and had our garage door in full working order within about 60-90 minutes. I was very pleased with Aladdin promptness and courtesy. Will very likely use them again.
