Excellent in every way.

Went very well. Quoted the job, helped pick the colors and picked up the paint. Made up boards for us to choose the color patterns in advance. Completed the job quickly and cleanly. Charged less than the quote. I felt Joel was honest, trustworthy and dependable. I look forward to having him help me out again in the future.

I met with JJ and gave him my company logo that I wanted painted in the entry way of our office. He took the logo home and made up a copy that he was able to project up on the wall. After a few tries during the day to trace the logo JJ ended up doing most of the work at night due to it not being dark enough during the day to trace. Once he traced the logo on the wall JJ painted each color on one by one. He ended up free handing most of the drawing due to the logo being so difficult to trace. It only took him a few days to do and he had it done by our open house. It is the first thing people see when they walk into our office and it sure looks nice!

My husband and I have a house that is over a 100 years old. Before we moved in, the kitchen cabinets, walls and trim around windows and doors had been painted many, many times in the past. Our kitchen had to be repainted!! The cabinets were green and white as well as on the walls and trim. We debated whether we should have someone come in and gut the whole kitchen. We checked on brand new kitchen cabinets but with our wedding in a couple of months, we were strapped for extra cash. Thats when I heard about Joel and his painting company. He came in and gave us an estimate that was perfect for our budget and we didn't have to gut our whole kitchen! He suggested he would remove the old paint on the cabinets and that he would grind and sand them down bare and smooth, then put a fresh, coat of new color on them. That saved us money and let us keep our original cabinets! He also helped us pick a color that went with our other colors in our other rooms. That way the house was all the same warm color pattern and going into one room to another wouldn't clash. (Which was very helpful because we had no idea about colors, textures and patterns!). He also suggested where to but the warm beige color and what to put white on the make the kitchen look more spacious and certain things stick out instead of hiding them like they were. He really took the time and took down all the trim and sanded and took down all the electrical outlets. He made sure our original, hard wood floors were covered with plastic so no paint dripped or splatted on it. He really worked around our schedule as well which was very helpful. He made sure to have us come in and ask if we like the color and if their was anything we wanted to add or change. He was always on time and also very polite, courteous, and professional. We're really glad we went with Joel! It looked like a whole new kitchen! I looked as if we spent a fortune on our kitchen and our family and friends couldn't believe the cabinets were the same ones we had. They looked like brand new cabinets!!! He even left the extra paint to do touch ups on the wall if needed down the road. We were so very pleased and happy...that we had Joel come back and paint our bathroom for us!

J.J. Swanson took on the project that many bigger companies wouldn't touch. Of the three companies we called, the largest, Cellitti, didn't even bother to get back to us with a quote after coming to look at the house. Iverson painting sent us a letter stating that our project presented challenges that they were unable to meet. I appreciated the honesty and respect of that letter. J. J. Swanson was honest about the repair work and kept us abreast of everything that he would do. He meticulously primed, repaired and sealed our house before painting. The finished project is WONDERFUL! We love the way our house has been rejuvenated. The job took a few days longer than projected due to rain days, but again, we always were in communication with the company.Need your house painted? Everything went very well. Joel was always on time and very courteous. He also cleaned up after himself every day (as this was a rather large project). The result was truly "ONE-OF-A-KIND". I'm positive that no one else has the same thing in their house and it really reflects our personal style!
