 + -1 moreI have just described in detail what happened and the steps Allen Heating and Air Conditioning provided for me. The installer were kind,and as responsive as possible. I don't know what else they could have done to provide any better service. I will be a return customer!
Description of Work: My 17 year old central air unit, gave out during one of the hottest Summers we have experienced. This was a Monday afternoon. The gentlemen who came to my home tried to restart it, until they could install a new unit, to no avail. They ordered one immediately and by Wednesday morning, they installed a new one. Yes, I had a couple of nights that were pretty uncomfortable, but with the help of a couple a fans, I got through it. I don't know what else they could have done to provide any better service. I must admit that feeling that cool air, when it popped on, was wonderful. The installers were polite, and provided me with the best service possible!

 + -1 moreI called the company on Monday morning at approximately 8:00 am. The technician arrived at my home at about 10:15 am the same day. He examined the furnace and the filter to check that there are no issues with the furnace. Then, he examined the outdoor unit and determined that the wires leading to the compressor were burnt and he replaced them. The service was done professionally and quickly.
Description of Work: The outdoor AC unit did not provide cool air to the house. The technician determined that the wires leading to the compressor were burnt and he replace them with the new ones. The service was done professionally and quickly. However, the company charges $30/15 minutes of technician's time, which amounts to $120/hr. This is not a reasonable labor cost for this kind of service no matter how satisfied you are with the service.

Description of Work: We got several estimates for someone to move our air conditioning unit from one area outside to another. Allen Heating and Cooling (former NORSTAR HEATING) was the quickest company to respond to my phone call and they came out within a day. Their prices were better than anyone else's and we were mostly very happy with the work of the technician. He was very conscientious and polite and seemed to be knowledgeable and well-trained.

Description of Work: I had work performed by this company used by my general remodeling contractor, they came out to fix some AC problems. They seem to have fixed the problem, but in the fall the furnace would not start up. I called my remodeling contractor and they sent Allen's back out. It was determined that a wire had not been connected.

 + -1 moreI called Allen's at 5:00pm on a Friday afternoon. A serviceman was at my home 30 min. later. He diagnosed the problem, fixed it without a hitch ( I have hot water heat), and did it all so professionally. He did'nt waste a minute. The cost was very reasonable and I would recommend them to everyone.

The controller for the humidifier was placed on the furnace and a little high for my liking but everything works great. They even brought literature on the furnace they recommended during the initial sales call. Something the other guys did not.
