Buff & Coat Hardwood Floor Renewal

Ray's team did a great job renewing my hardwoods without the hassle of a complete refinish. They were able to take out many of the scuff marks on the floors to make it look like new! They did it all with virtually no mess!

They buffed and sealed our wood floors the following week. The two men that did the job moved and put back our furniture. They were very accommodating to my needs. They worked very hard and did a great job!

Ray Horan, the owner told us exactly what can and can't be done with our family room floor with the process his company uses. Ray's worker did exactly what we were expecting and the floor came out beautifully. We were very pleased.

Vendor arrived on time. It took the amount of time they said it would. All furniture (massive table) was moved out and back in. Very clean procedure. Some fumes, but not disagreeable - I worked in the loft above the kitchen the entire time and never had to leave the premises.

They were on time. The two servicemen were cordial and business like. They explained what we needed to do after the service as we had to leave. We left at 9 AM and could not come back until it dried after 6 PM, we had to wear just socks after that for the rest of that day. The experience was wonderful. I would definitely recommend them. They did not refinish the floors as they are only six years old.

The owner, Ray, came out to do the estimate. I called and he came out the next day. Very nice and professional. He was honest saying that he could not help us with the floor and gave a detailed explanation why his service would not work. We need to have a full refinishing of our floor. He was very helpful and when it comes tome for maintenance finished floors, I would hire him to do the job.

They came on time, they performed job well, the guys were courteous. I am pleased with the results.

The owner of the company Ray Horan, came out to our house to look at our wood floors. I was hoping they only needed the buff and coat, but Ray immediately knew that our floor was going to need to be sanded and refinished. He was honest, informative, and overall a very nice man to deal with. He did measure the square footage and told me approximately what to expect to pay when we do get estimates for the refinishing. We will use this company for our staircase, when we get the floors done. He also came out the same day I called to set up the appointment. His before and after pictures of homes they've worked in are amazing. They restore your floors to look like they did the day they were put in. Wonderful results! I will use them in the future.

We bought our house and the floors didn't need to be totally refinished, so we called Buff & Coat. They agreed that the floors weren't bad enough and they could polish them. They were totally professional and accomodating - we had to do the floors in two appointments as we were remodeling the kitchen. Price was reasonable and the floors look great. If they ever need to be refinished, we'll be sure to call Buff & Coat after this experience.

After talking with the owner, I sent pictures and was promptly given an estimate and good info and what felt like honest recommendations about the job. I felt like this was a knowledgeable and professional company and would definitely consider using them. It ended up that if I just buffed and cleaned the wood floors it might not have solved the problem and could have been a waste of money. I appreciated that the owner took the time to discuss all the options and possible outcomes with me in advance. I even got some tips about how to care for my floors and he was also willing to do the job on short notice.

From the time the of the estimate, all the way through the final finishing coat, they were professional, quick, friendly and did an amazing job. Would recommend to everyone I know. They also gave me the best price out of all the quotes I got.

Buff & Coat are good overall. I gave a 'B' grading on responsiveness because when they called as a follow-up to see how it turned out, I mentioned a couple of areas that were problem areas and what they said to me was that the next time they were in the area they would stop by and make it right and then I never heard from them again. The quality of their work was good so we would use them again in the future.

We had our rooms emptied on Monday, ready for refinishing but the original contractor was a no-show, no call, voice mail box full. Ray came by that afternoon to give us an estimate and was able to schedule the work for that Friday. In one afternoon our floors were taken from scuffed and dull to bright and shining. Several areas needed more work and now you would have to know where they are to see any difference. So glad we found Buff and Coat on Angie's List.

They saved me a lot of money! The hardwood floor was approximately 13 years old and it had lost its luster. I dreaded having to pay thousands of dollars and having to leave my home for a few days if I went with a traditional sanding and refinishing job. Buff & Coat did a great job! They were done in a day and I was able to come back, after a few hours of drying, to a floor that looked great! I didn't need to go through the lengthy and expensive process because Buff & Coat told me my floor was still in good shape. It got better after it was buffed and polished. They also filled in gaps and stained areas that had faded from the sun.

They were very professional. They did what they said they were going to do. Fulfilled promise of being done in one day. They were very clean, no dust, etc. They exceeded our expectations. The floor looked great when they were done.

I would highly recommend Buff & Coat! Our floors are Brazilian cherry, and five years old. They were really starting to look horrible. The owner provided us with a timely estimate. He was very accommodating, professional, and responsive. The crew that arrived to perform the work was friendly, professional, and did a wonderful job. They even let me know why my floors were looking as bad as they were; it was the cleaning product I was using. The best part of my experience was that their work was dustless! Not having to deal with dust really made this project hassle-free. My floors look brand new again. I absolutely recommend Buff & Coat to others.

The process was simple. Ray came to our home and assesed our wood floors. We have 4 dogs, a cat, and 2 kids. He answered all of our questions and recommended a plan of action. I liked the fact that this was a dustless/sandless process, and that it didn't totally disrupt our day to day home life. The entire process took about 8 hours, with a staff of two. Our floors were showing signs of scratching, wear, and some discoloration. The staff taped off all of our appliances, and thoroughly cleaned our floors. Several of the spots that were beginning to show uneven color were touched up. The buffing process involved an abrasive pad that actually aids in the removal of small scratches and imperfections, and preps the floor for two coats of the urethane finish. The process was very reasonably priced and took years of wear and tear off of a tired looking wood floor. We requested the satin finish for its ability to hide minor imperfections and bring out the subtle beauty of a natural wood floor. The staff was extremely meticulous and detailed. I was told that this was a process that should be refreshed every 5 years or so. I never want to go back to the old way of refinishing my wood flooring. I highly recommend Ray and his staff. You will not be dissapointed.
