I am very happy with the work done. Don gave me a thorough quote and even called after I signed the contract to clarify the placement of one of the downspouts. He kept me informed through the scheduling process and was able to work around some scheduling challenges that I brought to the table. The onsite team members were courteous, professional, and cleaned up the site completely. The foreman explained everything and made sure I was satisfied with the work before they left the site.

Don was very good to work with. He was the first of the bidders to respond to my request, and was prompt and courteous throughout the job. I explained what I needed over the phone, and he came out the following week to estimate the work. I didn't have to be present for the walk-around. The previous installation was 23 years old from an addition project, and while we could have done a straight replacement, Don pointed out several areas where that installation didn't adequately drain the roof and suggested additional sections of gutter and relocation of downspouts. I was given a couple days’ notice before the job started, the crew showed up on time, did a professional job and cleaned up when finished. It rained that night – so far so good!

The crew was very friendly and professional. They did a nice job and were respectful of our property. We won't hesitate to call on them again.

Aside from a time delay on the day of the job, it went well. The duo worked in a timely manner & cleaned the area of debris. The sales rep saw to it that the work was done as soon as an opening in their schedule occurred.

What a great company to do business with! From the beginning, it was a very pleasant process. Don came to the house to assess the job and give me a quote. He was one of three bids. Very professional--he came, measured and determined my needs, then called later with a price estimate. No pressure--no attempt to add anything else. We liked that. Lake Cook was the lowest bid by $100. The third was $2000 more! On the appointed day the soffitt crew arrived and within a day everything was finished. A beautiful job, and they cleaned up perfectly. Two days later came the gutter installers (weather was a problem that week). They, too were efficient and professional, and were finished within six-seven hours. Again, pristine clean up. No mess. These folks are great!

The original builder supplied gutters and downspouts were 26 years old and were coming apart and coming off the house. They were a light gauge metal and were pitched wrong in some spots. They were not worth trying to repair. Lake Cook came and measured and gave an estimate. We gave the go ahead but had to delay for a week because of snow and sleet. On the first good day they came at 8AM and started the job. They finished up by 3 PM including all the cleanup. The gutters were just as promised and a very professional installation. All the old gutters were cleaned up and hauled away. It was a pleasure working with Lake Cook Exteriors.

Went great! Don was fantastic - very responsive and kept us updated of any changes due to weather, etc. The guys who installed the gutters were very friendly and left everything cleaned up. Would use again for other exterior work on our home.

Lake Cook Exteriors did a great job. Gutter replacement went well and cleaned up all the debris from the install. Don was great to work with and checked in with us before and after the work was completed. You can tell that customer satisfaction is important to Don.

No estimate given and no work performed

The service was very good. I highly recommend them. They left everything very nice and neat. They did not tear up the lawn or anything. The gutters look great and they had been working great. We had them put that leaf guard stuff on it. So far, everything has just been fine. They showed up on time. Their responsiveness is good.

They were the best priced and they were very professional. The product was, so far, so good. I would give A on all of the categories. They were really good. I do plan on using them again.

Don from Lake Cook was our contact point. He is very professional, kind and pleasant to work with. He was on top of things, communicated on a timely basis and was very upfront about the estimated backlog or schedule estimates on when they could start. He is the type of person you want to have working with you. Don was effective at coming up with a partial estimate breakdown for working with our insurance company as needed. He helped us select the best match for our gutters (which were all replaced). Don was very honest about what we needed and what we didn't. He took the time to make sure the best team of workers for our job was selected for our particular needs. When the workers arrived, I was very happy with the work ethic, professionalism and integrity in which they completed their work. We were working with a restoration company for other repairs and the workers (John and Andy)found a few items which our restoration company and several other roofing companies had not told us about, found an interim solution and helped us with it. John & Andy are the type of workers that don't need to be micromanaged and it was a HUGE relief knowing that our home was being treated with the same concern as if it were their home. Also, John and Andy were very good about letting us know that if we had any issues or found anything to let us know and they would follow up. We never got other quotes from companies, however our restoration company initially threw out an estimate of $2K and our job ended up being $4.1K so in fairness I can't say where Lake Cook's pricing falls. However, I believe that quality is very important and I wanted a company that specializes/focus is on gutters so that we wouldn't spend extra time or money to have a job redone and piece of mind and quality done right the first time is well worth it. I have high expectations and they exceeded my expectations. I have told my insurance company as well that I would recommend them to other "insurance" customers as well.

They gave me the Angie's List member discount. The work was awesome and they completed the job in a timely fashion. Don was wonderful and made sure everything was done right. I would highly recommend them.

We're very happy with the service. Don was great in coordinating everything and making sure that all went well before and after the work was done. Carlos and Adam did a wonderful job with the gutter replacement. They were very thorough. You can tell that they were not rushing it just to get the job done but instead they took their time making sure that the work is as best as it can be. They were courteous, polite, and willing to answer any questions that we had. We're very impressed with their work and will definitely be using them again in the future.

They quoted the job quickly and followed up with the install quickly as well. One person completed the whole house in a day. I rated the cost as N/A because I did not get any other quotes, but assumed they were competitive based on the other reviews on Angie's list.

Don and the installation team did a great job coordinating the entire process, where the end result looks really great.

This company is amazing! This was the first time I used Angie's List to find a contractor and I will do it again and again. Lake Cook Exteriors was immediately responsive to my call, came and did the estimate at the promised time (even if the weather didn't cooperate). They did the work on time and left everything in great shape. The new larger downspouts solved our overflowing gutter problem. This is a wonderful company, they even reminded me to use the Angie's List coupon!

The second priority is QUALITY/WORKMANSHIP. Absolutely first quality and pride in workmanship. These folks are the real deal. High quality standards all through the process. They worked through the bad weather and got the job done, as the said they would. Suppliers like Lake Cook Exteriors embody the professionalism and high level of quality not normally seen. Contacted Lake Cook to obtain an estimate for a new entry door. Spoke with Bill who was to email me a quote. A week and a ½ passed and I had not heard anything so I called and left a message following up to see if the quote had been sent out. I did not receive a response. Called again about a week later and spoke with a gentleman in the office. I told him that I had spoken will Bill and he was going to send an estimate. Gentleman took my information and said Bill would get back to me. I did not hear from Bill. Called a third time a week later and spoke with a different gentleman. Relayed that Bill was supposed to provide an estimate and I had not heard from anyone at the company. During that call, found out that Bill is the owner of the company. I never heard from Bill or anyone else at Lake Cook.

All went well no complaints . Quick and easy , not a big job .

Salesman was excellent ...... BUT when the workman came, there was a discrepancy in opinion between the salesman and workman on replacing some wood facia. The salesman then said he would send the workman out with cedar in his van, but this didn't happen - salesman said that the workman forgot to pick it up ...... so we had to re-arrange another date. The work done was generally very good and we are happy with it. However it's the small things that weren't done so well - workman left engine oil and dirt on our drievway and used brown sealant on black waste pipes. Could do better.

Contacted Lake Cook Exteriors for an estimate on replacing our gutters - Don was quick with the estimate via email and followed up with a phone call to discuss it and answer any questions - he also was readily available for follow-up questions on several occasions. Once the contract was signed and the deposit paid, the job was completed within a week - they even worked on a Saturday to get the job done (there had been heavy rains & flooding around this time and apparently they had gotten a bit behind). But Marty showed up bright and early on Saturday morning, was pleasant, thorough and did a great job. Still waiting for a heavy rain to see how the gutters perform but I'm certain there will be no problem. Would hire them again in an instant and refer them to anyone.

I was impressed with the skill of the installer. The clean up for both the interior and exterior of my home was great. There was a manufacturing defect with one of the windows they made sure the manufacturer replaced the window and had it re- installed. Based on that experience the following year I had them replace a sliding glass door in my home. I was pleased with this as well.

Don came out to check the gutters and gave me several options. Once I made my decision, Don had his crew come out and do the work. The next day, he followed up with a phone call to make sure I was happy with the work or had any questions. Nice service. I would definitely recomend them.

Couldn't have gone better. Excellent phone follow-up plus mailed estimate. Gave us a day and time and installers arrived when expected. Very professional, did an excellent job. This is the 2nd time we've used Lake Cook Exteriors - we won't use anyone else and recommend them to our friends when they're thinking about doing this type of work.
