Never happened. He came out, looked at the job, said he'd get me a price and I never heard from him again.

Excellent. On time, on budget. Came on short notice (and on a Sunday) to do the work. Couldn't have been more pleasant and professional.

I have had Mike do a few jobs for me in the past few years. He is an extremely agreeable fellow that is very professional, punctual and fair priced. I will continue to hire Mike for any upcoming work I need and highly recommend him to other Angies list members that need an electrician.

Mike Kohring came and removed a 25 year old non-functioning doorbell and replaced it with a new NuTone LA107WH doorbell which I had purchased on line. Since I am 77 and my ladder climbing days have ended I called on Mike who I have used in the past. He did a great installation positioning and leveling the new unit over the hole in the wall and the unpainted area underr the old unit and wiring the new unit.

Great fast work. Was on time and was very helpful and nice. Would use again.

Had Kohring Electric, Mike Kohring, replace 5 light fixtures and install an interior light switch timer in garage that controls exterior garage and front door lights. Took approximately two hours to install all fixtures and switch. Labor cost $175. We purchased all fixtures. Personable. Easy to schedule time for work. Arrived at designated time and went right to work. Everything went well. Would use again.

Mike provided excellent service. He was prompt, professional and knowledgeable. I will definitely use again and would highly recommend.

Mike showed up exactly on time and completed all the work in a few hours. He installed new light fixtures, a new smoke alarm, and replaced several outlets. He was very professional.

Installed and ran electric lines for our outdoor lighting. Did exactly what we wanted him to do. He even dug the trench to run the line through the yard. He was very helpful to us for getting the system done right.

Mike was very flexible and since it was a small job was able to work around my schedule. He arrived right when he said he would. He replaced our coach lights for a very reasonable price and we are pleased with the results.

Mike came over checked out the Electric line from the house to the gazebo. Found the problem and fixed all outlets and had everything up and running in a very short time. He explained what he was doing and asked me a lot of questions on my use of the out door facilities so that he could fix everything to accommodate my use. Excellent service and knowledge and the ability to explain everything to a non electric person! I will definitely use Mike again!

Very satisfied with both the service and price. Mike Kohring is professional and reasonably priced electrician. He made every effort to fit my schedule. He arrived on time and completed the job in two hours as quoted. He even noticed I was missing a cover plate on a nearby outlet so grabbed a plate from his truck and installed it free of charge.

Our experience with Mike went very well. Here are some details: - Very punctual: Mike told us he would call at a specific time to schedule the installation, as well as the day of, and was to the minute in contacting us. And he was right on time for the installation. - Professional and polite: Mike was courteous over the phone and took the time in our house to show us exactly what he was planning to do to ensure it met our needs. - Worked hard: Mike focused on the project the entire time, without breaks. He committed to a job that would range in the 2.5-3 hour timeframe and worked to ensure he met that timeline. - Cost appropriate: We compared a couple prices, as well as spoke to others familiar with electrical work of this nature, and found that Mike's $85/hour rate was within appropriate range. - Quality: Mike helped us determine the best location for the ceiling fan given the dimensions of the room. We were thrilled that there was no drywall or paint damage, understanding that sometimes this can be unavoidable. And the ceiling fan itself functions appropriately...no noise (as advertised), wall controls work appropriately, overall look is as expected. We have already inquired about some additional electrical work with Mike, as we were very pleased with the whole experience.

The work took a little longer than originally estimated, but Mike did not charge any additional. He stuck to the quoted price. We're happy with his work.

The job was done very well & very professional. My husband was very pleased with how Mike answered any questions that he had. Mike was able to schedule the installation the following day and was in contact with me with his timeframe. We couldn't have been more pleased with his excellent service!

We called. He had a really busy schedule but fit us in late evening. Cordial, professional, appeared very knowledgeable. The cost of service was fair and equitable. I would call and certainly recommend them any time.

It went very well, told us what needed repair and what didn't.

He came out and was very courteous and knowledgeable. He determined quickly that the problem was with ComEd, not our wiring. We were able to call ComEd and get our situation sorted out within a few hours. When it's time for us to do some rewiring in the next year or so, we will call Kohring.

Very knowledgable and experienced. He examined the home and provided me with a rough estimate of the work and how much it would cost before I purchased the home. He told me to call him when I was ready. However, I just purchased the home 2 weeks ago, so I called to see when he could schedule because I could work on the house now. Although, I was ready for him to work now, I had no real timeframe in mind since I wouldn't be moving in for two months or longer (long term project.) He cut me off pretty quick with an apology saying when he gave me the quote he wasn't busy. He said he now is too busy and could not do the job he wanted to do. That was that. He didn't give me any dates when he could do it or offer any alternative or allow me explain I wouldn't need him for some time. If he let me speak, I only wanted him to do one room right now or just change the service box. Anyway, it really sounded like he just didn't want the job. I suppose it is his right to refuse any customer. However, I am disappointed though and neighbors/family are pretty shocked about it since he does have a reputation in the area. .
