Mike is great. I had 4 light fixtures to remove and install. Mike also unstuck two bulbs for me. Would recommend for those small jobs.

Had some issues with a series of switches. I called in and Mike helped me diagnose the issue over the phone which happened to require using different light bulbs. Very helpful despite the fact that this was all done over the phone with no charge. Thanks Mike!

We had a master bedroom with ceiling fan and light kit mounted in the center of the ceiling. We had Kohring Electric put in four recessed led lights to supplement the lighting. A second dimmer switch was added for the new lighting. We also had retrofit led baffles installed for some existing recessed lights in other areas of the home. Kohring's quality of work was excellent and I particularly appreciated his patience as he worked on placement of the new lights with my wife and I.

GREAT ! Very good work and dedicated to helping people in Chicago area! Main switch blew after hours. ( like always ) He tried to trouble shoot the problem over the phone and sent pictures. Service was still required and he came out immediately. Very hard working man!

Mike was very thorough in asking me all details to the entire job. There were things I didn't even consider that Mike was sure to cover. He worked late to complete the job quickly and cleaned up everything after he was finished.

Mike is great. He is always very responsive and generally picks up the phone on the first try. He follows up when he says he will and always showed up right on time. He works efficiently and does not waste time. You can tell he's well experienced by the skill with which he works and how he can quickly understand what you need done and the most effective way to do it. He always left a clean work area and managed to think through projects in a way that required the least amount of patching when finished. For instance, on one of the lights I was sure he would have to cut out some drywall to work in the wall and yet he figured out how to do the project without touching it. Lastly, I feel like his price is very fair and straightforward leaving little room for issues. While I can only speak to his work on random projects around the house and not full-blown wiring jobs - I highly recommend him. Cost below includes labor and some parts (does not include light fixtures which were bought separately).

Absolutely wonderful. He responded to my call immediately. Could not say enough good things about Mike. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and even cleaned up with his own vacuum cleaner! He had a fair, straight hourly rate, answered all our questions and completed the work in a reasonable amount of time. Definitely going to the top of my list for electricians.

Mike and I exchanged a few phone calls about my situation, and while he never actually performed any work for me, he was very professional and courteous on the phone. I have a vanity set up in my office where I fix my hair. I had a surge protector plugged into the wall that I would keep off. I had a round brush blow dryer plugged into it. I had turned on my surge protector to starting doing my hair, and the wire of the blow dryer blew into bits in a white flash. But, the breaker never tripped and the lamp I had plugged in the other plug never flashed or went out. I figured this was a blow dryer surge protector issue, not an outlet issue. I purchased a new surge protector and blow dryer. The new dryer blew exactly 5 days later. I just couldn't believe it was the outlet, but needed someone to make feel better about it. Talked to Mike, and he explained surge protectors and blow dryers and electricity and such. Basically, don't plug that blow dryer into a surge protector. Gotta laugh, but I sure appreciate Mike calming my nightmares. I will definitely hire them if I have electrical work in the future.

I have contacted Mike a couple of times and he has been extremely responsive each time. His work has been excellent and I would highly recommend him to others.

From the onset of our solicitation for an estimate, Mike was very professional, courteous, and available to discuss the scope of work and schedule in an expedient time frame that worked for both parties. We agreed on a specific time to schedule the work and, true to form, Mike was here right on time. Terrific! I called the guy, and he actually answered the phone, himself! I told him what I needed, and he told me his rate and when he'd be here. He called me a day before, and showed up on time the day of service. He did exactly what he said he'd do, and did a good job of it. He cleaned up well after himself, and met absolutely all of my expectations.

Mr Kohring had great communication. He called me back exactly when promised to confirm an appointment and arrived when scheduled. He was efficient, friendly, and good at explaining what was needed to someone (me) who knew almost nothing about electrical work. He also was honest and showed integrity in telling me when one of the minor jobs probably wasn't worth the time and money due to that fixture being outdated and hard to find parts for; he suggested an alternative.
