Went very well. They moved furniture and laid out drop clothes. Completed the painted in the time they said it would take. Moved furniture back to original place. Very professional and friendly. Neat. No muss. Job well done.

Certapro in Palatine painted my house two years ago and did a fantastic job. I'm a picky customer...and they managed to do a first-rate job. I was so impressed that I called them back this year to paint the last bedroom in the house (they did not paint it the year before). Again, the painter was professional...the job was excellent...and the timeframe (1.5 days) was very reasonable. Eric, the owner, gave me the estimate both times and was very thorough in his evaluation of the home...professional...and fair with his prices. They were also great about scheduling the date around my work schedule. I would highly recommend Certapro Palatine!

we have used this company in the past and cannot understand what is wrong...we contacted the rep several times and got return calls that the quote would be forth coming. The thing is we are almost out of the painting season so we have lost one month...

We had a great experience with CertaPro painters of Palatine. Eric was punctual, friendly, and easy to work with and we liked working with the painter, Juan, as well. The painters were very professional and committed to finishing the work to specifications. We have a second job scheduled for November, and plan to continue using CertaPro as we finish updating our home. This was an easy decision since two of my siblings have used CertaPro with great result, but nonetheless it is a pleasant surprise when the finished product manages to exceed expectations!

Cedar exterior was badly weathered after only three years. The painter carefully scraped and primed before painting. After first coat I decided that we needed more coverage. The painter was very cooperative and we got a second coat with no fuss. He spent four days scraping. He was very neat and clean. At the end of every day he put everything away so you didn't even know he had been there. I am very pleased with the job and will use CertaPro Painters again.

Our townhome association has used CertaPro for years. We have 7 buildings. We have CertaPro paint 2 exterior buildings every year except one year they paint 3. They are always very professional, courteous, neat and reasonably priced. It is always a pleasure to work with Eric Glab and all of the great CertaPro employees!

From the start Eric Glab, the co-owner, was a real pro to work with. He responded right away to my inquiry and came out quickly to give me a detailed bid and walk through the project with me. Many of the other painters I inquired with never even returned my call, but Eric was prompt and courteous. He let me ask lots of questions, and wanted to make sure I was happy with the finished result, informing me that I shouldn't pay until the final walkthrough of completed work was done and I was 100% satisfied. It was clear to me that Eric takes pride in his company's work. Eric came out once more to adjust the bid based on some additional work and was happy to do it. Eric also subcontracted a carpenter to do some basic repairs before the painting began, which was great. The carpenter (Tim) was also extremely professional, courteous, and delivered excellent quality work, even adjusting his vacation time to accommodate our schedule. The painting crew, led by Benny, was diligent and hard working, polite, and very respectful of our house and yard. They cleaned up completely afterwards, leaving no trash or debris behind. They went out of their way to come back an extra day because they weren't satisfied with the doors and stairs and wanted to put an extra coat of paint on them. The quality was excellent and they went back to touch up little details I noticed before I was even able to point them out. Extremely happy with the painting crew. Additionally, the price offered by Eric and his team was very competitive, and considering the high level of service and responsiveness I received from them (MUCH higher than other painters I contacted), I felt like I got a real value. Thanks for the great work, CertaPro! I will call you again next time I have painting needs!

While the initial phone call to CertaPro was pleasant, the subsequent experience left a lot to be desired. The initial estimate session was scheduled for a Monday afternoon. I stayed home from work and cancelled all of my appointments for Monday in order to accommodate their schedule. I was called by an assistant Monday morning and told the appointment needed to be rescheduled due to rain...it was not raining at my home and never did that day...as I told the caller. We rescheduled the appointment for 3 days later (Thursday morning). Again, I stayed home from work and cancelled all of my appointments. 30 minutes before the agreed upon appt time, I was called by the painter and told he was running a little late (45 minutes) and asked if that was OK. I agreed and we rescheduled again for 11:00 AM, at 11:00 he called again and indicated he was running late and wanted to reschedule for the next day. I informed him I could not take another day off of work, was home all day and would wait...but he said he was so far behind he wouldn't be able to make it at all (I am not sure how you get an ENTIRE day behind in 3 hours). Either way, I informed him was busy with activities for my kids on Saturday and at this point I was finished waiting just to get an estimate. I work in a service business and this kind of lack of professionalism would NEVER pass in my company. I will be using a different provider and will make sure I do not recommend CertaPro for any future work to my friends and/or family.

This is the third time we have used CertaPro painters and will definitely use them again. They are prompt, professional and competitively priced. The first time we used them there was an issue with the way the paint dried on our bathroom walls. They were responsive to our concerns and came back 3 times until we were completely satisfied. Just last week we called Eric Glab, the owner re: concerns we had about disposal of old paint prior to moving out of our home. Again, Eric was prompt and professional in handling our concerns and went above and beyond what was expected to help us out.

They did an amazing job. They did exactly what I wanted and more. They made sure I was happy. They exceeded my expectations. I have to tell you for me to take the time to write a review is HUGE. I normally don't do reviews. I felt very compelled to do it after I saw the interior paint job they did for me. They also made sure they cleaned up after they were done. I thought I may have to clean the house prior to my son's graduation party. I had the paint work done 2 weeks beore my son'e party just in case. They did such a great job making sure they were neat. I could of had the party that day. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM!!!!!! GREAT JOB!!!!!!!

I had my estimate by Goran on 4/20/12. Despite his very high price I decided to go with Certa-Pro based on previous reviews. It took until July 10, 2012 to get a painter sent out to me. Apparently, Goran went on vacation; and his relief never bothered to return my multiple phone calls. I still decided to keep them on the job. Months later I was very underwhelmed by the workmanship of the painter. It was a small job, so I figured for $548 my living room would look Awesome....Not. The painter spent all day on one small room and did a so-so job. Apparently, he's been painting for 20 years. But, I'll put my skills up against his any day of the week. Next time, I'll save the time, money and aggravation and paint the room myself. By the way no one from Certa-Pro ever followedwith me after the job was completed. Also, they never offered any type of discount despite all the issues I had to deal with. Just took the money and ran.

Everything was done as promised.

Overall experience was excellent

The job started out fine, but we were somewhat disappointed in the final results. The parts of the home that were scraped had barely any paint on them. It was extremely thin and barely covered the scraped patches. We spoke to the job manager when the job was complete to ask about the two coats and the patches and if anything could be done. He balked, said this was common, we could ask any 'expert' and they would tell us the same, made some negative comments about the price we paid, and left it as is. The job site was cleaned afterwards, and we were given the extra exterior paint used. UPDATE: The owner contacted us and wanted to see if anything can be done to improve their service.The owner was very responsive and takes his business seriously. He came out to our home after noting our review, and agreed there were areas that could be improved. He send a 2nd crew to do touch-up work, and the crew did a great job improving the areas that needed it. The painter also made sure we were happy with the results (which we were), and stated that the company stands by their work. He was proud to work for them. So while we were initially disappointed, the end result is a much higher quality. This is a company that takes their customer service seriously.

The exterior of our home was in dire need of fresh paint. Eric Glab of CertaPro Palatine came out promptly to give us an estimate. He was very knowledgeable, friendly and easy to work with and explained the whole process and quote very well. The painters started work in about a week, they were very prompt and courteous and did a great job painting the exterior of our home. They paid close attention to detail and did an excellent job cleaning up leaving no trace that they were ever there. Thanks CertaPro Palatine, we'll definitely be using your services again!

The crew exceeded our expectations by offering to begin the job a week earlier than initially estimated. The first day was spent pressure washing and treating the exterior siding. Already the house began to look better. They returned with a full crew the next day and carefully stained all the trim and hard to reach places using small brushes. Downspouts and other accessories were carefully removed and re-installed so that the areas behind them could be properly stained. The next two days were spent completing the job with exceptional care and attention to detail. They brought everything they needed to complete the job and were able to work even when we were not home. The last day, the foreman walked through the entire job with me to ensure I was completely satisfied. I then noticed that they had not stained our mailbox mounting post (it was not listed on the work order due to my oversight). The foreman cheerfully stained it himself right then and there. Overall I was exceptionally pleased with the entire job and would not hesitate to recommend CertaPro Painters of Palatine.

They were very prompt in responding or our request for an estimate and were able to schedule the job within a few days allowing us to keep on a tight schedule. The painting crew arrived on time, carefully prepared and completed the job in a single day. They were easy to communicate with and professional in every regard. Although they had a small accident, their insurance company sent us a check to cover the damages the very next day. I was extremely pleased with every aspect of their work and have since hired them to do the exterior of our residence.

I am updating my review of this painting company. I originally gave them all A's but now, one year later, ALL of my paint is peeling. They painted my deck steps (which were only dirty at the time of painting - they were not peeling. They are now peeling. I contacted Eric and he blamed the paint and refused to fix. Another contractor working at my house pointed out that my window at the top of my cathedral ceiling was cracked. The only people that were ever at that point of my house was CertaPro. I then noticed my all my windows were now peeling too. I contacted Eric to discuss both of these issues. He denied responsiblity for anything. I asked them to come fix the painting. They never showed up. I wish I could load pictures of their work as you would see what terrible outcome I have for spending $2400.00. Eric seems nice up front and gives you all kinds of guarantees but does not come through when they mess up. I would not recommend this company.

The things I liked best about the CertaPro Experience: 1. Eric (Franchise Owner) took the time in the estimation process to understand all of things that were important to me in terms of the work itself and the circumstances around the project. He even asked what I liked best about my contracters, and also "what are the things that can absolutely NOT HAPPEN on the job"2. Eric was very knowledgeable about all of the technical aspects of paint and the process. When I described what I wanted done in the Powder room, he explained that CertaPro would not be the best choice. He referred me to a Faux finisher, and we came up with a joint solution between the two.3. The reference book that had sample pictures and more information on painting was very compelling. Even though Eric's bid was a little higher than another bid, the references closed the deal for me.4. My remodeling project was not completed on time and I had to switch my start date with CertaPro several times. CertaPro went above and beyond the call of duty to reschedule me and keep the "A" team of painters.5. The proposal was professionally printed, straightforward and clarified ALL of the details about the job.6. The painting crew was ALWAYS on time, professional, neat and extremely courteous and thoughtful. My experience was so positive, that I had CertaPro come back to paint my garage a few months later as well as do the "post remodel" touch ups and touch ups in my bedrooms from another painter.

I normally do everything myself so of course I was apprehensive about the whole procedure, fortunately this will not be the case anymore. It basically all went without a hitch. I'm impressed by the quality of work and concern of the painters about getting the job done right, two coats were needed on certain elements so they brought it up. The additional cost, which was stated in the contract, for the second coat was minimal and fair. Without hesitation I would recommend them.

Eric Glab (the owner) was great at explaining the job and discussing the options. He was very quick to provide a detailed quote and later to update the quote when we asked about getting a second coat of stain. Lucas and his crew did a great job power-washing and staining the house. The 3 of them were polite, professional and quiet. They didn't miss a spot! Lucas took time to talk to us about what we wanted and paid special attention to our areas of concern - some rotted wood. He replaced some crown moulding and patched areas chewed by animals and woodpeckers. They did a nice job cleaning up each day and at the end of the job. Our house looks great! Eric came by to inspect with me after the job was done. Excellent attention to detail.

Everything went very well! We decided to have all of the siding painted because it had been a number of years (more than 10!) since we'd had the original work done. Everything was beautifully done and the house looks great! Goran provided us with a window of time to expect the completion of the work. He even called twice before the work began to give us an update on the schedule. Once the painter began the work he was in contact with us every day discussing the color matching of the stain and paint. The painter cleaned up everything each night before he left. When the work was completed the painter had us take a final look at his work and made sure to point out all the areas of our initial concern to ensure we were satisfied.

Overall was a great experience. They came out for assessment and quotation within a few days. I wanted it quoted with a few options as I didn't know how much to expect to pay, so at a minimum I wanted just the trim painted as that needed it the most. I also had a quote for the trim and just the siding on the front of the house, and then a quote for the whole house. CertaPro was happy to provided those options and even included additional options of 1 or 2 coats. After assessing the house they used a tablet computer to generate the quotations for me within 20 minutes. While they prepared the quotes they gave me their reference binder which had about 100 references from my general local area over the last 18 months and they were all very (or mostly) positive. Since I already had a few other quotes to compare to I was happy with the quotations they provided and decided on the spot to go with CertaPro, whole house, 2 coats. We were able to get a start date scheduled for about 7-10 days after and they did start on time. We had a few days of delay due to rain but overall they finished in just over a week. The house looks great and they did a great job cleaning up.

From the estimate to the end of the project, everyone I dealt with from CertaPro was extremely professional. My Angie's List coupon was honored and through the sales process I found out they had a 12 months same as cash program that I took advantage of. The crew was tidy throughout the project and very respectful of my home and furnishings. I felt completely comfortable leaving the crew in my home while I went on errands etc.
