The work was fine. The cost was reasonable and the work was good. Everything went smoothly with the work and there were no complaints. I included a deposit of half the cost down when I signed contract. He said that he misplaced the check and I ended up mailing him the payment in full. I requested a written letter from him to explain if he located the first check, he would tear it up and throw it away or if he couldn’t locate it, to let me know. However, I never heard anything either way. It appears as though they did not comply fully with the required notice under Section 5B of the Illinois mechanics lean act. However, in this case, it was no harm no foul, but it might be a practice that Best Windows should look into.

Overall I am highly satisfied with the price I paid and the installation of my windows. I dealt directly with John and I was given a quote that I found to be fair in comparison to other quotes I received. I also appreciated the information he provided to me concerning the type of window that is required when the window is close to the ground. (I previously replaced windows and that contractor did NOT tell me this information.) After receiving his quote I decided to change the style of window I wanted. He did not have any problems with my changes or questions. I was replacing a large window in my den and decided I would get what I wanted since the window was going to cost over $2000. As others have stated John can seem a tad bit unorganized. When he sent the gentleman out to measure my window, I had a few questions that the gentleman stated he would mention to John. John never followed up with me concerning the questions, however when he called to set up the install date I asked him the questions and he answered all of them. On the date of installation the installers were over 2 hours late, I was not happy with that however, upon installation I was left with a very clean area and a window that is professionally installed and beautiful. I also liked the fact that he provides a lifetime parts and labor warranty on all manufacturer defects for original owners and includes glass breakage. Yes I would use them again and I recommend them.

I request the installation with John the owner and some how it was not scheduled on the installer list. John was very apologetic and compensated me for the inconvenience. I was fine with that the windows were installed the following week or so. John is an excellent person to work with I believe him to be genuine. The windows were installed the openings guttated and new frame work and sills. The windows are vinyl but have an oak trim. Unfortunately the oak still needs to be stained by the customer once the windows are installed. This was discussed prior to installation. I am extremely happy with the product. They are beautiful window and the installation was very good. There was only one hiccup immediately below the dining room windows has the paint/plaster cracked due to installation. I noticed this after everyone had left so I did not get a chance to show it to them. Just disappointed it was not bought t my attention before they left. The reason I say the is because I asked for estimates from painters and the consensus is it was caused by the new oak trim installed. I would hope this would be addressed by Best Windows.

Overall, the experience was good. John, the owner, was dependable (showed up on time for each appointment) and explained the products well. The installers worked quickly and cleaned up well once they were finished.

The windows are of good quality and the installers did a good job! The best part is I have a lifetime warrenty!

There was a Big Deal listed for $500 worth of windows for $250.. We called and got a quote before we bought the big deal. the owner quoted us the $500 ( so $250 with the coupon). When we were ready to get the window installed I called the gentleman and he didnt remember the quote he gave us and gave us the same quote of $500 or $250 with the coupon...meaning we wouldnt have to pay for anything else..He stated that he would call me back to set up a date for him to come out and do the measurements. This was in November 2011. In January 2012 I had to send an email to him explaining that we had contacted him and we had been waiting several weeks for him to contact us back about measuring the window. He responded for me to give him a call once again. Once I finally gave him a call ( I admit it took me a day or two to call cause i was irked) we set up for him to come and do the measurements. On the day of the appointment he was late arriving and I wound up calling him to see if he was still coming. . He was very polite but informed us if we wanted to get the beige window is was $50 more.. The original quote he gave us over the phone was $500 and that was a beige sliding window... I was a little irked but agreed to pay the extra $50 for the beige window. He stated it would take about a week for him to get the window.. 2-3 more weeks went past and I finally had to email him to see what the status was about the installation of the window. He then replied to call him to set up a date for installation. The men came out two weeks later and installed the window.. They did a great job. I would use them again and I probably will when I get some more money to remodel the house. I was a little irked that I had to keep calling/ emailing him to check the status of my window, appointment, installation instead of him keeping me updated. I felt that if my window only took a week to get in why did I have to email him several weeks later to check and see what the status was. Overall the product and service itself was good.. but the customer service part of it is the part that I had an issue with and it irked me. Yes I will use him again but I know now I need to stay on top of things with them.

His quote was about half what you would pay for wood windows. His window was a vinyl window and I really need aluminum with wood. He was very good, very punctual and polite. He showed me a window and explained how it worked. I just didn't like the vinyl window and wasn't interested in that product.

They installed new windows. They showed up on time and did all the measurents. I would use them again.

I loved the pricing for replacing five windows, but I was sure because I wanted a bay window to replace three of my windows, that the price would be several thousand dollars more. It wasn't! It was a bit more, but like a couple hundred, not thousands. The company came out and measured the ten windows I wanted changed, including the bay window. We discussed different options for this bay window--and that I wanted the divided light look for the replacement windows. Again it was a slight upcharge--but completely worth it. I worked with the owner to discuss the bay window, and his suggestion was spot on--it has etched glass and looks great. In addition, they replaced the trim on that window to oak--to match the window. They built out the window so that there was support. They came in March--officially the price was so good to keep them working during the winter--and I was promised that the windows would be done quickly, so we wouldn't freeze. Chicago in March can be chilly--but the day arrived and it was like 75 degrees. It was magnificient. And the windows all look phenomenal. I have 10 more windows to replace--and I'm just waiting for this deal to happen again, because I would not hesitate to use them.

Of the 4 companies that I had come in, John seemed the most knowledgeable about his product & industry. He was very helpful, told me all the pro's and cons of different window styles or install techniques. John was very competitive in his pricing for the job. When it came to installation, John's team was prompt & professional. Although one installer accidentally broke a stepladder, John generously reimbursed me for the cost. The install was EXCELLENT. All seams were well-caulked, and John provides a lifetime warranty on the windows. Overall, I would defnitely do business with John's company again. In fact, I plan to soon. Thanks, John!

True professionals. No pressure sale willing to work with limited budget. I would hire again in a heart beat.

Quotes and measurements took place the same day. Both were fast, informative and efficient. I was given a clear idea of what was going to be involved in the installation and the time frame in which the work would be completed. Workers were on time and the work began immediately. Fast, efficient work and the staff cleaned up after themselves, including rehanging the blinds. Overall, extremely happy with the services provided.

John was very knowledgeable, he gave us an estimate over the phone and mailed us brochures on the products he was using. On the date of the installation, his team was on time, did an excellent job of installing the windows and patio doors, cleaned up after themselves and were very courteous.

It was quick and they cleaned up well after themselves. They did a good job. It was a very good experience.

John was very easy to work with and very prompt with returning calls and following up with me. He came over, examined my windows, gave me his recommendations, and then provided me with a quote. After deciding to go with John, he had one of his workers come out and measure for all the new windows. After a few weeks while the windows were being made, a team of workers came over at 9 AM on the dot and worked till about 6 PM...the job could have normally gone faster, but Chicago was being pummeled by some crazy storms at the time. To see his workers in the rain working their butts off was impressive. The windows look great now and I am very happy that John was willing to fix the glass in one window and cap some other windows at a very minimal cost. Most companies would not care to work on any existing windows that are not being replaced, but John was more than willing. His price was competitive with other companies, and unlike other companies, his windows have a full lifetime warranty on all parts and labor (minus the screens). I will definitely be going back to John in the future if I have any other window needs.

I was not impressed with Best Windows. I went to him because you periodically send me emails about things I would not be looking for on my own. He was from there and he didn't show up. That was poor customer service. I would expect someone from Angie's List to have good service. He lost a potential sale and he put a little bit of a question mark in my mind how good Angie's List is.

John Wrzesinski came over and measured my windows, placed the order for the windows and when they were ready, his crew came and installed the windows. John was very friendly and personable and his crew was fast and efficient.

The technicians on the job was very knowledgeable. They arrived at 9:00 am came in and took one window out and installed and insulated, capped and caulked . One by One and they seem to do it so well. The job went very smoothly. Thank you Best Windows Inc. The entire team,, so well trained.

The technician came out and gave a good presentation. All of the windows look good. In the back of the house, I asked him about the rotten wood around the windows, which he said he would remove. I did have to call back to have them come back out, as he did not remove the rotten wood. I don't feel they paid enough attention but they did repair the wood, windows and putty and windows now look good. I believe it was a good deal for the price. I was told I can call them anytime for any questions or concerns.

We are very happy with it. We could only afford one window at the time and he did it. A lot of these places don’t contract for one window, but this guy did. It is a big window and is 55 inches wide. They came out and did it in one day. The price was very fair for this window because it had to be custom-ordered. It took about a week to get here. We are very happy with it. It is a very good place. There was a variety of windows that I could choose from.
