Allied Air Conditioning and Heating

The capacitor on the air conditioning unit failed. I contacted Allied after hours and they called me when they opened the next morning and were able to come over in a few hours. Whittaker the technician listened to my description of the problem and was able to diagnose it immediately. He had the needed replacement part in the van and made the repair to the unit in just a few minutes. Very courteous and conscientious service. I have used Allied the last 8 years for general maintenance. This is the first repair I have had to any of my HVAC equipment. I would definitely recommend their service.

Was fantastic, the tech found no major issues only a part that was not working to full capacity and suggested it be replaced. I was very happy with the professionalism and honesty.

The service tech was on time and explained exactly what he was going to do. He mentioned that we my need freon but if it was only a couple of ounces it did not to be done. He also told me upfront the price if a pound was needed Very honest and reliable. We will probably use them again in the Fall

The appointment was for 8am. The tech arrived just after 9am. (Someone did call at 8:45 to say they had a breakdown.) I described the problem and he checked the fuses right away. They were obviously burnt (blackened). I had to go out, leaving my adult son at home to pay if the tech finished before I got back. I came back just as the tech was driving away; I did speak to him for a minute. He told me it was $202, that he'd been paid and that the cost (above the $90 service fee) was for parts. (I must have looked taken aback at the fee.) The invoice was not itemized, so I don't know how much the fuses cost. A search on the internet showed I could get 5 of the same type of fuses for $10 (fortunately the invoice did specify the type, as he took away the burnt fuses). I do not feel I got a fair deal here and will probably try another company next time.

We had Whittaker as our technician. He was great! He answered all my questions about my the unit and as a new homeowner this was very helpful. Overall they are well priced and provided great service!

Prompt courteous knowledgable professional Best issue was the serviceman didn't try to sell me a new furnace because even though existing unit is 25 years old, it needed only a new motor capacitor! Love the honesty!!

Professional service good customer service, they discovered a part needed replacing and ordered it When they returned for the part replacement they discovered they needed an additional part. They ordered that part and didn't charge me for it for the inconvenience. This company truly values their customers and treats them right

We have been using Allied for 5 years. They have delivered excellent service for us for repair work on our furnace, air conditioner and humidifier. Easy to schedule appointments, quick availability, and excellent explanation of work done, work required and pricing estimates. Also used Allied for purchase and installation of new hot water heater, when our old unit ceased working and sprung a leak. Highly recommend Allied - they have always been easy to work with, communicative, and fairly priced.

Punctual. Noticed need to replace humidifier filter

Scheduling the service was very easy, Allied contacted me the next business day after I purchased the Angie's List Deal, and scheduled the service call for the same week based on my availability. Technician arrived and immediately began working on the furnace. After his work was done, he walked me through what he did and his findings. Everything was great until this point. I had a 22 year old furnace, and when I bought my home I knew that I'd have to replace it. He began the conversation about his findings by saying, "We are supposed to red-tag this machine, condemn it, and shut it off. But my company doesn't do that, we have you sign the inspection report saying you were advised of the dangers of continued operation of the machine" He then resumed professionalism and told me the Heat Exchange was showing signs of age, rings were popping off as they do overtime, and at some point could result in Carbon Monoxide Poisoning, and I should replace the furnace right away. I think his approach to "scare" me into purchasing a new furnace was inappropriate and unprofessional. Ultimately, I replaced the furnace, hot water heater, AC, and humidifier with another company.

I purchased two furnace service deals through angie's list. Allied was prompt in scheduling the service. The tech was on time and professional. I will use them again.

Allied is NOT honest. I would not recommend them. Please read on for detailed information. I purchased an $80 furnace cleaning and inspection at an empty house I am selling. The technician was scheduled and I could not be there during the work. The technician called me while working on it and told me my heat exchanger was cracked, that the furnace was really old, and that I needed a new furnace. I asked for a quote for both a new furnace and for repair/replacement of the heat exchanger. I was assured that I would get the information quickly. The technician did not have a new air filter for my furnace, and did not provide one - as I was told they do as part of the cleaning. While waiting for the quotes, I hired a second provider to come in and look at the furnace without telling them anything about the prior inspection. Why is ALLIED not honest? FIRST - the second contractor (25 years in business) told me that the furnace was filthy, It had not been cleaned or serviced in any way before they looked at it. SECOND - they put a camera up into the unit and inspected the heat exchanger also. They found no sign of problems, and did not recommend replacing the heat exchanger - although some other minor work needed to be done. FINALLY - I called ALLIED to ask them why their technician told me that i needed a new furnace when it clearly needed only minor repairs. Their response? "All our technicians are certified and we stand behind our diagnosis". Basically if you have an old furnace they are going to make up a story that you need a new one. They would not even explain why the unit had not been cleaned prior to inspection. How can you do a thorough inspection of a filthy furnace? ALLIED never completed the work i paid for, and then never provided me with any documentation or follow-up. Not even a receipt or inspection report. DISHONEST.

They are the people who regularly service my air conditioning unit and furnace. They are reliable and do a good job.

I am 100% satisfied with my heating and AC system and the twice-annual service from Allied.

All went well. They were very professional, took their time cleaning and checking the furnace. They even wore booties over their shoes. Scheduling was prompt; I would certainly use them again.

I purchased the Big Deal on Angie's List, and submitted 3 dates for service. I received the following message from Allied Air Conditioning and Heating: 10/13/2014 Thank you for your purchase. Our service department will contact you to set up your clean and check. No one ever contacted me over the last three weeks, so I contacted another HVAC company (Four Seasons) who came out and performed the work instead. I can't comment on Allied Air Conditioning & Heating's work, etc., since none was ever performed. However, I do know that we need additional HVAC services other than just a "clean and check" of the furnace, so they missed out on additional business.

Purchased service through Angie's list and scheduling was easy with a quick phone call. The lady that answered the phone was friendly and flexible to find a timeframe that works for me. On the day of service, Allied called when the technician is on his way. Anthony arrived within the timeframe, and explained the service he will perform before starting. When the job is completed, he asked if I have any questions. Furnace inspection and cleaning is straightforward but I appreciate Anthony's professionalism and there was no upselling like other providers I've used.

He used the booties on his shoes while in the house. He did a thorough inspection of the furnace did necessary cleaning.

The technician, Whittaker arrived on time and without a doubt was one of the finest and courteous service technicians we ever had. His check of the equipment was complete and he didn't leave an ounce of dirt behind. We signed up with Allied for a yearly service contract for our two a/c's and furnances. I recommended the Allied companies service to all my family members. Being in business myself, it is refreshing to work with a service company that takes pride in their work. I would recommend Allied to anyone who wants great work at reasonable prices. I should also add that Jamie in their office was very helpful and a pleasure to deal with when first setting up our appointment.

I have a 5-Ton Carrier air conditioner and the compressor seized up late in the season. Allied quoted me a new compressor which seemed expensive but they explained that my system used an older refrigerant and it was very expensive. But I agreed. A day or two before they were to perform the work, I got a call from them indicating that they had reviewed the work order and could replace the entire condenser with a more efficient one and change the refrigerant to the newest type for slightly less than replacing just the compressor. Joe and helper came out and installed the new condenser in a few hours. It works perfectly. Thanks, Allied!

Unbelievably responsive. Very detailed and thourough explanation of options and risks/rewards. Installation crew was super clean and thourough. Pleasure to work with even given the pain of the cost. Couldnt be happier with the end result. Ya gotta meet Kevin!!

Allied installed a new Carrier Air Conditioning unit which involved replacing the evaporator coil on the furnace and a new condensate pump. Allied previously installed my Carrier furnace and handles the maintenance and any repairs. They have provided consistent and reliable service.

Prompt, friendly service. Advised that furnace filter be changed.

The unit was damaged initially and didn't work / Also it wasn't set or anchored properly - however Allied responded and fixed the problems promptly
