Andy Wehrli Carpentry & Handyman Services

Andy custom built seating and a bar on my rooftop deck. He was punctual, professional and very cost effective. He came over for a consultation, we worked through a few iterations of plans and was able to build out per my specs. Andy is very personable and does quality work.

It went very well. I will definately use Andy again in the future.

I wanted to update that I have used Andy now multiple times, and I learned the best way to communicate a need with him is through email. He always replies back, gives you dates and times and has even help me out very quickly when I had a few small jobs that needed to done. I highly recommend him as he does excellent work and a GREAT price and has a network of excellent contractors if there is anything out of his scope of work. I will continue to use his services, he is fair, friendly and fast in getting his work done.

Everything went very well, as planned, scheduled, and budgeted. Andy is very professional, honest, knowledgeable, and experienced. This is the first time we have used Andy and will definitely call on him again for future projects. We have already begun discussions about other work that we would like him to do for us. He provides a fair estimate of the project cost, arrives on time, executes the project efficiently, and leaves the project cleaner than it was when he arrived. We would definitely recommend him to anyone needing carpentry and handyman work.

He couldn't find the leak, and didn't look too hard. He claimed it was no longer leaking, and may have been a shower curtain outside of the shower. He appeared to not want the business. I went with a different guy who determined where the leak was coming from and fixed it.

Initially, the work included emptying, uninstallilling and reinstalling a hot water heater. It is to Andy's credit that he reached a point where he said it probably beyond his capability to complete that portion. I did have to call someone else in for that part and adjustments were made to the original bid price. Andy worked h****** replacing the floor in a tight area with many cut outs to make it all work. He also had to work around the others working on the heater. Looks like good solid work and I am happy with the results.

I was very satisfied. He wasn't punctual and was definitely not on time. He does a good job, but he doesn't have any urgency when it comes to time.

Words can't describe how happy we are with Andy's work. He is a true craftsman and takes pride in his work. He not only saved us a lot of money but the work is top-notch. The repairs are all pretty much all hidden. The window trims look great and the overhaul to the cupola's base was awesome. It will last another 20 years with regular maintenance! Andy is in such high demand that he has a pretty good lead time, so plan ahead. We need to clone him! -)

It went very well. The door looks beautiful. He is very professional, courteous and was honest to say he couldn't do the job by himself.

Overall, we were impressed with Andy's willingness and commitment to making sure we were satisfied with the work. We had a few communication issues in the beginning. We will make sure to have a more detailed estimate in the future when working with him. However, he did very well working through the issues with us. I found him to be a fair, honest, and reliable person, which can be hard to find. The plaster guy was a bit disorganized and came and went over several days, which we did not really mind, but he left dust everywhere and used duct tape to tape his plastic sheets (supposed to keep out dust) onto our walls, which removed some paint. However, Andy said he would not use this subcontractor anymore, and Andy came to clean the house himself for a few hours. He also repaired the wall paint damage from the guy's duct tape without charge. He also had the paint guy redo a small spot where the water damage was still a little visible. The final results were generally very good. We are looking forward to working with him again in the future. Once we find a handyman who is committed to doing excellent work and also willing to make sure people are completely satisfied with his work we are very loyal. Would definitely recommend.

Andy was supposed to arrive at 11am, but at 11:30 he had not arrived. I called him , and he said he was on location. He got the numbers wrong on the address , and he was actually about a block away. Andy was very nice and apologized for the confusion about the address. He installed the fans and they all work properly.

Andy arrived on time, was very professional and his pricing was reasonable. Unfortunately I have had a financial setback and will not be starting this project for a couple of months. I will contact Andy again for this work.

I thought he was OK, but I wouldn't use him again. With what he was able to execute, he did a good job. I was just a bit bummed with the electrical aspect because he started but then couldn't finish it. So now, I have certain lights in two different rooms that don't work because he tried and couldn't reconnect them the way they were. But, he was very responsive.

He is very personable and does a wonderful job. He is able to perform work outside of the box.

Andy showed up on time and worked very quickly. He was willing to answer any questions I had before and during the repair. I had complete confidence that the repair would be done correctly.

I called Andy that morning and by 1:00 PM he was at my home with a couple covers in hand for me to choose from. The challenge was the placement of the vent. My townhouse is a walkout with the side yard being steep. The vent was up high, and I was concerned that might be an issue. It was no problem for Andy. He installed the cover, and we decided to use the other cover on another vent that had a loose flap. Well, I still had the bird in the vent. I was prepared to deal with it myself since it was clear where he was. I had observed the animal control guy the day before, so I knew what to do, but I didn't want to pay him again to come back. Andy came to my rescue. While I did not expect him to deal with the bird, he graciously opened the vent, got the bird in a grocery bag, and we let him free. All my problems solved in one visit!

I got two other quotes. I thought he had a consultative approach as opposed to a contractual approach. He listened to what I was trying to do and gave me some suggestions. He gave me a price based on that as opposed to just coming in and saying what did I want and measuring and guessing which is what I thought the other guys were doing. He did good work and he followed up. He cleaned up and he was very friendly. He had to deal with my son watching him and he was pretty young at the time. He was very good with that.

I contacted Andy to complete some work at my father's house. We communicated mostly via e-mail where I provided him a list of the things I was looking to have completed and he had several questions regarding the work. We arranged a date and time for the work to be complete. Andy was delayed on the actual day that he completed the work but he did contact me to let me know he would be late and I was able to notify my father. I had wanted to pay for the services in advance so my father wasn't responsible and I wouldn't be at the house the day the wrok was completed. Andy didn't expect fully payment in advance. I sent him a checkin advance for a portion of the charges and he then sent me an invoice for the remaining amount once the work was complete and I knew my father was satisified with the work. Throughout the process Andy was very responsive and wanted to make sure he had all the details and materials on hand, minimizing his time back and forth to get necessary supplies and obviously increasing my costs. This was a unique situation as I wasn't going to be at the house the day the work was completed and he was completing the work for my father but none of that added complexity phased Andy. I would definitely use Andy again for my handyman needs and would recommend him to others.
