A&M Professional Refinishing

The refinishing ended up costing us another $100 due to the complexity, but the work is great and they did a nice job cleaning up after themselves.

They refinished my bathtub, including removing layers upon layers of refinishing that was already there. They did an amazing job and it looks great now! They were very professional: willing to explain all of my options and give advice without pushing me to purchase any additional services that I didn't want. I would absolutely use their services again (though it might be a while since their refinishing lasts 20+ years) and I would have payed double if that was the price!

There were two gentlemen who came in to do the refinishing of my tub. They were punctual, they explained what they were going to do and the length of time for each process. They were very neat and very professional.

Professional and courteous overall. Considerate about noise, smell, mess (cleaned up thoroughly) and even took into consideration how to avoid potentially blowing a fuse in this old building -- which I've done many times using less powerful equipment. Nice people to do business with.

They did a very thorough job. They arrived as scheduled, they called in advance to remind me of the appointment, and the end product was a bath tub that looks like new. The finisher worked very hard, and was very neat.

Andre showed up and had some concerns with the configuration of my bathroom for venting. He said that dust could get in the finish. After the job was complete, I found some rough spots in the bath tub that appeared to be anti-slip texturing that was on the bathtub sides. I asked him to fix it and he came back to do so. He seemed to sand and repaint the rough surfaces, but the finish is no longer seamless, some is shiny and other parts are dull. The color is white as promised but the finish is not the same throughout. Still the tub looks better than it did before the refinishing.

It worked out very well. They were very professional and their work was excellent. They came out to do the work two weeks after I purchased the big deal. The price of the service was good.

They did a great job. We paid an additional $60 because we chose an additional drain piece that they put on the tub. They delivered what we asked for and it was fine.

Due to delays in my home rehab, we started this project much later than initially planned. I contacted Andre who assured me that they would honor the coupon and the price. The only charge I had was a travel charge which was a reasonable $15. Andre and his assistant (I forgot his name) arrived within the time window that I was quoted. They also scheduled the work for a Sunday afternoon since the following Monday was a holiday. Both arrived prepared to work with all of their materials and tools. Andre explained the process to me , they set up their equipment and got right to work. Within 4 hours, my tub looked brand new. The color, recommended by Andre, was perfect (not too white) and it matched my new tiles. The pair made sure that my house wasn't covered under layers of dust, they cleaned up after they were done, they kept me informed at each step of the way and they were able to make my partially finished bathroom look much better. Andre made helpful suggestions and I couldn't be happier with the results. I'll try to post pictures of the Before and After. Bottom line - I was very pleased with the results and as I have another bathroom to r remodel in the near future, I plan to schedule A&M to return and complete that job as well.

It went OK, but did not hold up. Some chipping occured after 6 weeks, even after wax was applied as recommended.

Andre previously refinished my bathtub back in January with a Angie's List big deal, and I was really pleased with the outcome. The shower was a much bigger job and it looks beautiful! They were very professional and it took 11 hours to complete. He had a problem with taping off the area as tape would not stick to the walls, so we resolved that with push pins. All in all, I am very pleased with A&M. It was expensive, but worth it.

I was so happy with the job that Andre and his crew preformed a couple months ago, that I called them back in to replace the tile in my master bathroom. I did the same thing as before, let them do their job and saw it when the job was completed. He gave me suggestions on what would be a good fit for me and my family. They did a beautiful job and I recommend this company to everyone that I know. Kudos to Andre and Jake on another job well done!

It was done very efficiently. They came in quickly and surveyed the area. They considered all the options in setting up, including where to vent out the exhaust and what circuits were being used by their equipment. They hand stripped the tub since they couldn't use an acid etch due to the fact it would destroy the new drain I installed. They repaired it, primed it and placed a new top coat on it. They cleaned up afterwards and reviewed everything with me. Afterwards they reviewed how to care and maintain the new tub coating and reviewed the warranty. Everything was done very professinoally and I would be happy to recommend them to others.

It was OK. I like the way the way my tub looks and I thought that he was a nice person. I was charged a traveling fee, which I never heard anything about prior to him completing the work. So that was disappointing, but other than that I thought it was a job well done. It was my first time using them. I think they did a nice job.

It was okay the tub looks okay you're not prepared for all the preparation that you have to do the day of the night before as cleaning everything out of the bathroom and having paper to cover mirrors and everything else and having to wash everything down and they didn't tell me that it would be another $150:00 to re-caulk the bathtub!

It took longer than expected and we called to have one area fixed tjat wasn't done and they still haven't come back to fix it.

I had my bathtub refinished; they did a nice job. What I would have liked to know beforehand: a tube needed to be vented out a window (luckily I had this), that not all cleaning products can be used on the refinished tub (I can buy others but I had just bought some that shouldn't be used), and the caulking around the tub would be removed and I would have to re-caulk after the project (this added to the cost - you could do it yourself, but I would rather a professional do it AND I had just recently had it done before the refinishing) - none of these were the end of the world.

Positives: The provider arrived on time and did take the precautions to protect the rest of the room from any paint. They cleaned up and left the room in usable condition. They explained how to care for the new surfacing. When I discovered a run in the paint they did arrange to come back and remove the run at no charge. Negative: Both visually and the feel of the surface is consistent. If you get close to the tub it looks like it was painted over. Some surfaces of the tub feel grainy other parts feel smooth. Same thing with the look of the tub. Portions appear shiny and smooth like the original finish and other appear to dull. I've seen other bathtub refinishing and the overall quality of the finish is much better.

The technician Jake was extremely polite and professional. He prepared the bathroom, covered everything, and turned on the exhaust system. He kept me informed at all times. He also asked me which finish I wanted. He explained the maintenance procedures and asked if I had any questions.

It went well. Pretty when completed. Has stained a bit on an area from cosmetics. However, I have not used Scrubbing Bubbles yet as recommended. Might take it off. Left fine powder in mirror cabinets and on items on the shelves there but otherwise was good job. I would use again. I would just recommend removing items from all shelving including vanity mirrors.

They were late by 2 hours. Painted it neatly but my complaint is the finish. It is rough and dull. Not at all how a shiny cleanable, glossy porcelain finish should be. I called his supplier and sent photos and was told it has been dry sprayed which is an incorrect way to apply the paint. They sprayed at a too far distance with the sprayer and it left me with a dull rough finish. They came back on two different occasions to correct the problem but it still remains dull and rough. So after all the attempts to fix it I just gave up and feel that it is not fixable, so I have to live with it.

It looks great, there was a bit of over spray but they patched and primed and what ever they needed to do. And provided all the information I needed to care for my new tub. I waxed it and shined it and even waxed the sink and stone and wood. Placo looks Great.
