They were great, punctual, professional, and most importantly, they did a great job. Really appreciated everything they did.

Anyone who has refinished a bathtub knows how messy (and smelly) it can be. I had prepped the bathroom per instructions, as there would be very fine dust and microscopic epoxy could settle on the mirror, which needed to be sealed off with paper and tape. Everything movable had to be out of the bathroom. Andre and his helper arrived promptly, and since my unit is a third floor walk-up, they had to haul all their equipment and gear up the steps. They further prepped the area, sealing off the bathroom with sheets of plastic and masking tape, and ran a large exhaust tube from their fan in the bathroom to the living room, and out the window to keep the exhaust fumes out of the unit as much as possible. Andre described every step of the process. Everything went smoothly, and when it was done I could hardly believe my eyes! It was like a brand new tub. Cleaning up the remaining dust, replacing the grout they removed, and airing out the unit--a job for the next few days--was worth it. Andre left me with instructions for care. I could not be happier, and have since given his contact information to other unit owners in the building. I definitely recommend A & M.

We bought an Angie's List coupon for approximately $312. When the contractor arrived he claimed that the 60"-long tub was not 'standard size" and needed to charge us an extra $100 because the tub was supposedly deeper than normal. My wife and I doubt this or, if there is a difference, it is slight. We did not have other 60" tubs in the house to measure, and and we had already purchased the coupon, which I thought it was non-refundable. I didn't want to spend time fighting them about it, and felt pressured given that we already paid the coupon, so I agreed. But I wasn't happy about it. Even if the tub were an inch or two deeper (which is not certain), $100 is not a proportional increase for the amount of purportedly extra surface area. Before beginning work, the contractor offered additional services and finishes at significantly extra cost, which made me wonder about the quality of the basic coupon service. I refused those extra services because at some point you might as well buy a new tub. After the work was finished it seemed to me that the extra $100 was excessive, and made me regret getting the coupon. It would be interesting to see if many other clients have had similar experiences or if indeed our situation was unique. I would understand better if our tub were 65" or 72" long instead of standard length and width.

Very professional, on time and got the job done as promised. I am very happy with the overall experience and outcome. This is the second time this bathtub has been refinished. There are a few (2-3) sharp points on the tub base that makes me uncomfortable while I bathe but I can adjust a bit to avoid the discomfort.

I scheduled a time for a technician to come and refinish my tub on September 3. When he showed up, he didn't have the tools needed to remove my sliding glass door, nor any replacement caulk to put back after the refinishing was complete. He said that he needed to reschedule and speak with his boss, Andre. My wife spoke with Andre and agreed to have the money refunded, since he wanted to charge extra money to have the caulk removed and redone. I did not hear from them, so I sent a follow up email on September 6th, but still did not hear anything. I again sent a follow up email on September 13th, requesting a refund. He finally got back to me, directing me to Angie's List to receive a refund.

I called when I purchased the deal and had an extensive conversation about everything I needed done for 30 minutes. When they came out, they were bringing up different issues to charge me more money. They mentioned things like the tub is not a standard tub, being longer and deeper. They wanted to charge me an additional $100 today. I feel these types of questions should have been asked within our 30 minute conversation. The worker that came out I felt was very professional, I just felt that in the conversation the tub dimensions should have been discussed. I am cancelling this service.

This work is all in the prep before the spray & Andre spent a lot of time on prep. Andre is a pro who takes his time uses quality products, so the end result is a like new finish.

Andre was great to work with. He explained what he needed in the bathroom before he even showed up so that there would be no surprises. It took a little longer than I expected but the finished results can't be argued with. The bath tub look amazing. We went with a standard white and we had a pinkish brown tub. There is a bit of smell but it is not over powering at all. I actually expected it to be much worse than it actually was. I would definitely recommend A&M to anyone looking to have a tub refinished.

was supposed to be eco-friendly but the smell was overpowering for several days. also non-slip surface is a little slippery should have had this done in summer when we could open windows but as it was supposed to be eco-friendly did not think the smell would be a problem especially troublesome for me since I have copd not a bad looking job tho and reasonably priced.

hMy tub had been refinished before by someone else and it had gotten chipped and eventually ruined. They had to remove the old refinishing first. He explained everything to me thoroughly. I let it dry and pulled the tape and paper away and it had spots where the tape was. I contacted them and they got back to me quickly and fixed it for me. It looks like new and they were very nice and cleaned up too.

I was asked to submit pictures of the area I wanted refinished, which I did. I then received the quote. I thanked them, but said I would not go forward at this time.

I picked up the Big Deal from A&M and was very impressed with the quality of the service. The tub refinish is very good, I would use A&M again no doubt.

I have a big tub and they were unable the job alone.

We moved into a 23 year old home 9 months ago. The hall bathroom tub had some stains on the bottom of it, but was otherwise in good condition (no rust, chips or dents). We wanted to refinish it instead of replacing the tub entirely. We checked Angie's List and A&M had a coupon for tub refinishing and excellent reviews so we went for it. It was our first experience with using Angie's List and we were overall very pleased. We were able to contact the company via Angie's List and received confirmation on a date and time. However, the day of the scheduled service, just before the scheduled time of service, we received a message from A&M that they did not have a phone number in which to confirm the service and to provide further details and to please call them. I happened to be checking Angie's List and saw the message. I had remembered that the confirmation email had said they would call the day before with details of the job and a description of the technician coming, but we never received a call the day before. We did schedule the service on a Monday, so the day before was a Sunday and possibly they do not call clients on Sunday. Nevertheless, I called A&M as soon as I got the message and provided the phone number and received additional details. They ask you to cover your mirrors and any upper exposed cabinets with newspaper, so that the paint will not adhere to it. The only slightly disappointing thing was that we had initially had a confirmation time of 8-9 am, but due to them not having our phone number to confirm a time via a phone call, it was pushed back to between 9-11 am. The technician came at 10 am and was still able to finish by 2 pm. So, overall this slight delay was not a big deal, and since they are based in Orland Park and we live in Barrington, the delay was mostly due to travel time. There is a $30 travel fee for areas outside their usual service area. The job was done professionally. The technician was courteous (wore shoe covers, laid down protective plastic sheeting over my carpet where he was placing his equipment), explained the process (there needs to be a window available for ventilation in a nearby room) and answered all my questions (care and maintenance of refinished tub - can not use bleach or acid cleaners) patiently. You will have to caulk the tub after the paint is dry. It has been over a week since the tub was refinished. We have showered and taken a bath in it and are quite pleased with the results. The paint finish covered all the stains. We opted not to have the additional primer coat (additional $100 fee) and the finish is fine. However, our tub did not have heavy stains or rust, just light stains on the previous non-skid treads. We opted not to have the non-skid tread replaced as it was suggested that the non-skid tread is not comfortable to sit on when you take a bath. Overall, we would use A&M again if needed in the future and would recommend them to others.

The refinishing went well, but I was a little disappointed that they didn't caulk at the end -- he actually didn't even offer to do it, which I would have gladly paid more for. There was an additional fee for their travel. The refinishing looks nice, though! Scheduling was a bit difficult, although in the end it all worked out.

The only communication I had with this company is through text, it was very hard to get ahold of this company, so I went ahead and took it upon myself and made other arrangements.

There were a lot of additional costs that were not displayed in the ad that he needs to be more forward with the customers about. He also needs to be more timely in returning calls and arriving on time to appointments. He also needs to be neater and clean up the mess after the job was complete. The final look of the job did look fine.

It went well. He was a perfectionist. He spent a long time working on it and we were happy with the results. He was professional. It was more money than we expected.

Andre was great, very easy to work with and he did a great job. My wife and I were bothworking form home that day and he arrived right on time and just need a couple of questions answered prior to getting started. Andre work straight throughfor the entire time he was there. Only contacting us when needed. he was very professional and respected our need to work and his. The end result was great. Jjust as good or better than the previous refinishing job we had done by another company years ago and for half the price.

The project went great. The provider was very nice, paid attention to detail and explained the process step-by-step. The bathtub has been transformed and looks brand new.

It went very well and they did a very good job. They did the tub in the master bathroom and it took them about 2.5 hours to do. They do charge on the mileage as we were out of their zone. They were able to work with me on scheduling as I had a guest coming over. They came on time and called before they came. I had to do some prep work beforehand and some cleanup afterwards, but it was minor.

The refinisher did not have enough granules to apply the non-stick coating on the bath tub floor. He was going to come back some time the following several days, but no definite date. When I told him that I was not going to pay him for the extra work outside of the BIG DEAL offer, his boss made him go back to their facility to pick up the necessary material to complete the job the same day.
