Smooth quick installation even though the ancient cast iron pipe in the floor was disintegrating. Everything works perfectly.

The work was done promptly and correctly. I take away points from the price because there was a last minute increase from the quote.

Many no-shows on appointments. Crew great. Owner not so much. Owner taking on too many jobs to pay for personal debt. Crew acknowledges reputation has slipped in the area due to over booking. Owner abusive when pushed for answers. 2 months after job "completed" we failed inspection. Owner stalked us for payment a few days after job was "completed" because he needed cash urgently, not because it was overdue. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

I called yesterday (11/11/2014) and got a prompt call back with advice about possible cost, and an offer to come out the next day. I accepted the offer, but then was talking to so many plumbers, I couldn't keep track of who had agreed to come. I called back today, and he had me confused with someone else I guess, and said they couldn't come out till Monday. We had a long chat where he gave me advice about likely costs for the service (rodding out kitchen drain of a 2-flat via the catchbasin, installing a clean-out on the drain line, etc.) and recommendations of other local plumbers to call. It turns out that they did already have me on the schedule for today, per the conversation from the day before, but in the meantime I'd already had a recommended local guy come out and do it. I wasn't home for any of this, so I have to call tomorrow to apologize. They seem like great guys though, very accurate advice and prompt service - confusion was all my own doing really.

Overall everything went fine and we are completely satisfied. The second visit involved some small measure of confusion and our plumber missed the appointment, but he made good by coming the next day. Great job!

The owner came within 20 minutes of a call about a broken water heater. They replaced it the same day. Very friendly and helpful.

Chris arrived on time and quickly evaluated the problem and got to work. He also, very generously, answered my husband's questions about a plumbing project that my husband was working on and gave some valuable advice. My husband had been very reluctant to hire someone, even though he could not do the repair work himself, and had rigged a temporary solution to the leaking pipe that ultimately failed. I insisted on getting help with the project, joined Angie's List, and am so glad that I did. I would happily recommend this plumbing service to anyone who needed it.

It went well they came on time. Corrected the issue and did try to up-sell me on something I really didn't need.

Replumbed upstairs tub in 1926 house after neither handyman nor I could clear a clog from a tough to access drum trap or resolder a corroded copper drain pipe. Not a small job. Took most of the day with one plumber and a second for half the time: harder and more complicated (and expensive) than estimated, but the boss, Chris, who tells me he was a former union job troubleshooter, discussed work details with his employees by phone and again in person to make sure the job was done right. (And explained all the particulars to me in person as well.) When a small leak appeared a few days later due to a difficult-to-seat fixture on the 90 year old cast iron tub, Chris, who owns the business, fixed it himself -- another 2+ hours at no charge. My opinion is that they are great plumbers, and that means doing things the right way -- and that means you pay real money to real professionals. I would use them again for skilled jobs without a second thought. Easy to reach by landline to the office, or cellphone to Chris.

A difficult job because the catch basin was backed up and the plumber couldn't see where to start the rodder. He tried for quite a while before he got it started. It was not an easy job, but he kept at it until he got it finished.

After years of my basement flooding when we had heavy downpours. Chris and his crew installed a back-flow valve to prevent water from coming in during the downpour. They worked efficiently, were polite and left the area clean when they finished. There have been at least three 2 inch rainfalls in the past week without a drop of water in my basement!

We look forward to working with Dan on future projects.

While the clog proved to be a more significant problem involving other trade work, the company provided a great referral. Very professional.

Spoke with (I believe) the owner. He was extremely helpful, gave me good advice at length that fixed my relatively simple problems by phone without charge. Will absolutely use him in the future.

Dan Reeg called me back within a few hours. We set a date 2 days out, as my project was not an emergency. The plumber arrived right on scheduled time. He did the job without fussing or issue. He took 2.5 hours. Dan Reeg seems to get old houses and the unique situations they create. I did a bit of research on fixing my problem and there were professional plumbers on forums who struggled with my issue. Dan Reeg just got it and got right to work. I think you could argue that they are not cheap. I do not, however, think they are overpriced. I think they are just really good at what they do. They are responsive, professional, courteous, prompt and knowledgable. I recommend highly! I will be using them in the future for sure.

I am very appreciative of his willingness to talk me through it. Within an hour my pipes opened. I will be using Dan from now on as my plumber.

We didn't have to have services done because Chris advised us not to replace the water heater until it starts to break. Again, this is one of the first times a contractor has advised me not to spend money!

They have done maybe 5 or 6 times over the past 5 years. Mostly fixing clogs or damaged pipes. I like them because they responded quickly and fixed the problem. I feel comfortable using them and will call them again when needed. I think their charges are in line with other plumbers. They don't waste time so I feel my money is well spent.

I've used them many times in the past with no problem. This time didn't go as well. They came out in February initially to fix the problem. The original owner has retired and a new owner, Chris, is now in place. The technician came out and didn't know what to do about the problem. He ordered a new cartridge for the hot water, which was where it was dripping. The bill for that visit was $140 even though he didn't fix it. I asked if it would cost me that much again for the second visit, and I would just buy the cartridge from them if that would be the case and install it myself. They never called to let me know that the cartridge came in, so I called later to see if it was there. They said it was, but there was a miscommunication in that they thought I wanted to install it myself. Another technician came and installed the cartridge. There was confusion with the charges, though. He originally charged for both visits, but it was corrected to $30. Then it went up to $60. Afterwards, I called Chris twice to let him know that it was still leaking. He had me check if it was both cartridges and asked me to call him back. I called back 3 times leaving messages to have him call me back. He never did. I went out and bought a new faucet set, I found a new plumber, and he installed the new set.

I had found that when I used the washing machine sudsy water accumulated behind it, causing the floor to become quite wet. At first I thought it was a problem with the machine itself. The appliance repair person confirmed that it was not the machine. I called Dan Reeg Plumbing, and they came out the same day. They diagnosed the problem very quickly -- it turns out that the used water was not draining through the pipe, but was instead backing up onto the basement floor due to the fact that the drain pipe was clogged with tree roots and soil. They needed a larger machine to do a thorough job, but when it was available sooner than anticipated, they came out later that day and completed the work. I have been using Dan Reeg Plumbing for many years. They are professional, consistently do an excellent job, and I would not hesitate to use them for all future plumbing work.

We've used Dan Reeg on a half dozen occasions and we always received very high quality work. As well, we always received same day service with a smile. I have no complaints. The owner cares and will stay in touch to make the problem is resolved.
