We could not have been more pleased. Chris is extremely knowledgable, responsive, and a pleasure to deal with. The removal and replacement installation were difficult given the massive size of the heaters and the space constraints, but the work began and was completed on time, on budget, and without a scratch to anything in the path of the removal/installation. Great work at a fair price.

Great! I called on Sunday and said they could call early Monday am and they did..made an appt. b/t 2-4pm.They were on time.They answered our millions of questions.Referred us to Suburban Sanitary to have the basin cleaned out at a future date.This is different than cleaning the clog and requires a bigger machine..So happy for the referral to get everything done and not have to look for someone else.They also tell you the price on the phone when you call, which is an added plus.No surprises! We will call again when needed.

Reeg Plumbing replaced a leaking cast iron vertical stack underneath my kitchen sink, as well as some smaller items at my house in Oak Park, IL. They came out and did a wonderful job at a fair price. Chris Reeg spent 30 minute with me on the initial call out to explain what he would recommend and why. After doing the job, Chris did a final walk through and caught an additional issue, which he fixed at no extra charge. Can't say this enough: These are honest, dependable, smart people and they have won all future work on my houses in the Chicago area. Thanks Team!

The plumber had to replace two old galvanized pipes with copper pipes. He also had to replace the fitting. He said the job would take about a hour, and the work actually was completed in a little less than an hour. No complaints.

The project has helped eliminate sewer water from coming into the basement, and is currently pumping ground water out of my basement as I type this.

Very well, actual cost was less than estimate. Price is high but so is quality of work. You get what you pay for.

Initially the company had to cancel because someone called in sick. My job wasn’t an emergency. I just wanted to make sure tree roots weren’t clogging my sewer line. I was able to reschedule. Roots were cleared out of the line. The price seems a little on the high side, but these guys are real professionals. I always feel like they know what they are doing.

This is the second review I've written for Dan Reed, with the same type of comments. Several months ago I contacted them to give me a proposal on replacing my hot water heater. Because of my existing "Rube Goldberg" venting system, this was not going to be a plain vanilla job. They had several suggestions and said that they were going to research the alternatives and possibly bring in another contractor to determine the best route forward. I called several times for a status with no response. Approximately 2 weeks ago I again called and it was promised that Chris would get back to me. I even contacted Chris directly on his personal cell and he promised a call back later that day. It never happened. I lost hot water and called. The answering person said she would contact Chris. I contacted Chris directly who promised a call back. It never happened. This is now the second time that I have been ignored/disapointed by this company. My dealings with them several years ago were excellent, but something has obviously changed.

Very pleased with the experience. Dan Reeg handled my century-old home and ancient galvanized piping situation expertly. They seemed to have no trouble when they encountered some crazy do-it-yourself plumbing by a prior owner in the walls. All of the old piping was replaced in 2-3 days with a minimum of fuss, and now we can flush the toilet and take showers at the same time. I don't know why I waited so long to do this. Plumbers were very pleasant and responsive and cleaned up well when they left.

I was very impressed with Dan Reeg Plumbing from the first phone call. Bode and Scott came out that day, diagnosed the problem and fixed it. They were professional, prompt and took the time to explain to me what had happened. As a new homeowner I'd never had a backed sewer line before, so it was so helpful to have them talk through what they were doing. What could have been a very stressful experience was handled smoothly by Dan Reeg -- I will definitely use them again for any plumbing issues!

It is not often that one sings the praises of plumbers but we have been very pleased with, and impressed by, Dan Reeg Plumbing. We needed to have an older toilet reset due to leakage, a new toilet installed in a recently remodeled bathroom, and a clogged bathroom drain cleared. They have always responded quickly, arrived when they said they would, and performed the work we needed done in a very professional manner. The work has consistently been of very high quality. I have found their prices reasonable and competitive with other plumbers that we have used. The differences have been the friendly and professional approach to their work and the overall quality of the work that they have performed. Dan Reeg Plumbing is our go-to plumber.

Chris arrived promptly. After he got to work, he quickly notified me that my drain was clogged with 100 years of rust, which did not shock me. He scheduled to come back the next day to replace a section of the drain pipe, and he arrived with an apprentice. While working in the other room, I could hear Chris talking to his apprentice, and I am in awe at his patience and careful instruction. He sounds like a wonderful teacher. The price seemed very fair, and I'm happy to support a company that is working to grow the next generation of skilled tradesmen.

My wife was at home to let them in. They arrived on time and set up to do the camera inspection and location. They hit tree roots as expected (that's why the line needs to be replaced). They said they would then have to rod out the line in order to continue and that would be an all day job that would have to be rescheduled. After calling the office, the guys on site begrudgingly agreed to do the rodding while they were still there. They weren't able to clear the line through to the main sewer, so even after rodding they couldn't get the camera past the initial tree roots. They ended up charging $590 for the inspection and rodding. More than twice what we agreed to. The sewer line was never completely inspected and the rodding out wasn't complete either. I also never got an estimate for the actual repair work which was the original reason for bringing them out. I called them back a number of times and either not no answer or a promise to call back 'soon', but never heard from them again. I'm now out $590 with no progress on fixing the issue.

Plumber was very courteous, took care to explain full scope of work being performed and cleaned work area after job was done.

Showed up on time, worked diligently, and finished as promised.

Very well. We were given good advice as to what would work best. Installation was professional and problem free.

I called them when I noticed water getting under the bathroom sink when water was running. I also independently had hard time with this faucet for quite a while: it did not open smoothly and hot water was almost not running. Dan fixed both problems pretty fast, he was very professional, cleaned up everything, etc. I am very happy with the service. The only drawback was that I forgot to mention my Angie's list coupon ahead of time and Dan was reluctant to do anything about it after he ran my credit card already. Not a big deal anyway.

The work by Dan Reeg Plumbing could not have been more professional. The service was efficient and polite. All my questions were answered to my satisfaction. I have been very happy with the work done.

This company is professional and upfront, prices are competitive. I would definitely recommend and use again.

Sean and Bode were courteous and quick while doing an effective job to clear out the line from basin to street. The best part is the folks at Reeg will walk me through every step and the equipment employed; never shying away from a question. This might have cost a bit more, but it was sufficiently explained to me why the service an upgrade from more pedestrian rodding services and ultimately is more valuable.

They did a nice job, very friendly, and professional. Their price was more expensive than I anticipated.

Prompt and fine to work with but at $140/hr they come in near the top of the scale in terms of cost. That's full union rate and it wasn't feasible to have them do the real repair job that was needed at that hourly rate. But easy to deal with, a good on the spot plumber when you're stuck and going to have to pay for it...

Quoted a flat rate which in hind sight was way overpriced. Removal and installation in less than an hour for a unit that can be found on line for a bit over $200. Not sure how they justify that as an hourly rate.
