Description of Work: Replace a part in a dishwasher. Had to order the part and make a second call. There was a delay because part supplier shipped a part that was broken when Bill's received it, so he had to order again. There were some miscommunications regarding times repair was to be completed, but all worked out. I was pleased.

Description of Work: The oven in my year-old Maytag gas range wouldn't light, and the warranty had just expired. Bill's came over within 24 hours of my call, knew the issue, and fixed it very promptly. Hopefully, this issue doesn't arise again, but if it does, I will call Bill's without hesitation.

Description of Work: My dryer was squealing for a year. We called the service and I provided the model # and they came out the next day, had the parts, and fixed it. The repairman was in and out in an hour. Fantastic! Highly recommended!

Description of Work: We have a 10 year old Kitchen Aid Frig that isn't working sufficiently. One technician came to assess why just one of our drawers was freezing in the frig. He couldn't figure it out and said he was going to see how much a new thermostat would cost, but I didn't hear back from him. When I called to inquire, the owner personally apologized and came out at no charge to assess the situation. he gerry-rigged a stop gap measure to limit the cold air flow from the freezer to see if it would cease. The band-aid approach has helped but has not completely healed it.

Description of Work: Arrived on time - got right to work and the job (Replaced the gas valve) was completed in about an hour. The service man was courteous, knowledgable and left no mess behind. - good job.

Description of Work: I called Bill's when my refrigerator simultaneously tripped a breaker and blew out both bulbs on the refrigerator side, because I wanted to be sure there wasn't a problem with the lighting fixture that caused the breaker trip. They offered to come out the same day, which didn't work for me, so they were there first thing the next morning, on time to the minute. The tech disassembled the fixture, confirmed there were no problems, and put everything back together (including a pair of new bulbs). Bill and the tech were both friendly and knowledgeable, the price was eminently reasonable, and I was completely satisfied with their work.

Description of Work: Recharged central a/c unit. I use to recharge this old unit yearly,but after Bill recharged and sealed it the unit has been working great for three years.

Description of Work: Washing machine wasn't rotating clothes while running. Bill's technician replaced one part, and then it worked fine. On the same visit, we asked him to look at the dishwasher, which was working, but noisy. He examined the motor and the pump, and said they were both fine. Two months later, we called Bill's again when the dishwasher got much noisier. The technician told us that we could replace the motor, but parts and labor would put us well over $300. He advised us to replace the dishwasher instead, since it was already 12 years old. There was no charge for the second visit. We appreciate their honesty, and will use them again in the future.

Description of Work: My burners weren't igniting. They came and cleaned and filed the spark place so all but one worked again.

Description of Work: Our Maytag Dryer would no longer dry clothes using the "InteliDry" setting. (monitors the moisture level of drying clothes). Bill was, at first, very responsive. Came right away and replaced a heating coil, which we paid for. The problem with the dryer was not fix, however. He returned with a new part and a new bill, but the 2nd new part did fix the problem. He returned a 3rd time with a 3rd part and no bill this time. This 3rd part, a computer sensor, was he last solution. This sensor did not fit our dryer. He said it was his supplier fault. He left to reorder the part, but I did not hear back from him until I called 2 weeks later. He apologized never reordered the part. Two weeks later, he return with the new part, but it did not fit. He left saying he would use a different supplier. Same thing happen, I had to call weeks later. Finally, he came and again the part did not fit. He was speechless, left saying he would have to call Maytag about the part. To date, I have never heard back from him. The dry still does not work on the "InteliDry" setting. This was the service we hired his company for; thus, it has never been repaired.

Description of Work: Our clothes dryer stopped producing any heat. Although it is 25 years old, we did not have the time to shop for a new dryer. Bill's Applicance &Air made an apointment, sent someone who came on time and was very professional. He explained, in detail, the problem, that a new part was necessary, and what the total cost would be. He explained that he did not have the part in his truck and may not be able to make it back that day. However, he returned later that day, replaced the broken part, and cleaned the dryer vent for no charge. We will call them for any appliance repair needed in the future.

Description of Work: Our basement flooded and extinguished the pilot light on our hot water heater. I called several companies to come out and look at the appliance. Bill was the first to respond. We were worried that we would have to replace the appliance but Bill was able to repair it without a hitch. He was quick and efficient. I'd definitely use him in the future.

Description of Work: My microwave died on me and I contacted Bill's Appliances. The gentleman arrived at my place and replaced some small part, but soon after he left my condo, the appliance stopped working again. I called him, he came again another day, and again said he replaced some small part and once more the microwave stopped working as soon as he left. I called and left him a message and never heard back. he was quick to cash my $96 check promptly though. I have recently bought and moved into my condo and throwing away almost $100 for a total lack of service is not an expense I can afford at this time.

Description of Work: Our fridge/freezer stopped working on a Saturday morning. We placed a call to Bill's Appliance at 9:00 a.m. Bill himself was in our home by 9:30. Problem solved by 9:45. Drinking icewater by 10:30.

Description of Work: We called Bill to look at our Maytag Neptune washing machine that had conked out. He was on-time, courteous, gracious, and upfront about the cost of the repairs and the fact that they'd probably not prevent the machine from giving out in another year or so. (Which says something about Maytag, but that's not for this post.) He could have repaired it and charged us the $375 or so to do it. But he took the $45 service call instead. AND he promptly returned our calls and was unendingly patient while we tried to decide whether to repair or replace.
