My refrigerator was not cooling. I called Bill. He came out the same day and diagnosed the problem. He needed to do some more research and get a new circuit board. He returned the next day to install it. He was extremely prompt, professional and seemed concerned that I would think the price was too high. I thought the price was fine given that the master circuit board had died. The refrigerator works great again.

He is wonderful. He does a nice job and is very responsible. I couldn’t be happier with his work.

When we realized that our fridge wasn't working properly, I called Bill (about 8:30 a.m.). He was very responsive, asked a lot of good questions, and promised to be out this morning. He was at the house with an assistant in an hour. They thought that the problem was a drained charge, but this turned out not to be the case, so then they discovered the drain duct was clogged. They flushed it out (a laborious process). Bill kept me updated on the diagnosis, and once they figured out the problem, he left his assistant to complete the work. Parts were minimal; labor was reasonable, especially considering the amount of time there were there (about 1.5 hours). They were courteous and professional and left the kitchen nice and tidy. We chose him b/c he was local and had received lots of good reviews. I hope to NOT need him again, but if we do, it is nice to know we have someone reliable and capable to call.

Bill's Appliance was good. They promptly set up an appointment and arrived within the time they said. Melvin was professional. He evaluated the unit and told me the price. Once work began he replaced the fuse and cleaned out the pipe inside that leads the exhaust out as well as cleaning the hose that goes to the outside. He was very neat and swept up as well. The whole project took about an hour. I would use them again.

Our washer broke down on New Year's Eve. I searched Angie's list and after reading all of his good reviews, decided to go with Bill. I left a message late in the afternoon (after business hours) describing what noises I heard from the washer. I asked that he call me sometime the following Saturday to set up a service call. We heard from him first thing in the morning on Sat along with an estimate of when he could be here. 20 minutes before arrival he confirmed that he would be here shortly. I appreciated the heads up on the time, so we could plan our day and be ready to put our dogs away when he got here. The repair took about 1/2 hour and the washer is working fine now. I thought the price was reasonable, the service was great, and it was nice when we were given a time, it was honored unlike some companies that give you a 5 hour window, and show up in the 6th hour. This is why I appreciate Angie's list so much - always good luck with the companies I choose. I would definitely go with this company again

He found out that one of their competitors didn't properly affix a wire. He came in, was there less then 5 minutes and charged me a very, very reasonable price to fix it.

See above... He then offered to quote me a motor replacement, stating it would cost $400+. Why would he offer to replace a motor on a machine he doesn't understand? He should have checked himself. Then he told me to call him if it stops working again. Uh huh, yeah, so I could give him more money??? Well, I didn't even make it through ONE wash before my machine stopped working again but unfortunately, I can't afford to bring this guy back to waste more of my time. If you plan to learn on the job, do yourself a favor and read-up on your assignment and don't charge your client nearly as much because you will be wasting their time and money too while you fumble around trying to figure it out. In addition, playing around with one's dishwasher right before Thanksgiving is like playing with fire because now we are in a very bad situation and will need to spend even more money to replace the $1200 dishwasher.

He quickly diagnosed the problem with the first dryer. The second dryer he fixed an initial problem, but came back the next day when that wasn't the only problem with the dryer. I had another company look at one of the dryers and wasn't able to deteremine the problem.

Called on a Friday. Showed up the next day (Saturday AM). He checked out the dryer and determined it was probably a clog in the dryer line. He spent a significant amount of time trying to get it out but couldn't clear it completely. He arranged for an associate to come back the following Saturday to work on it again. This gentleman crawled into the crawl space under my house to follow the line and find the clog. He found it and pulled out a LARGE amount of dryer lint that had probably been accumulating since my home was built (1985).

He did not charge us extra for the emergency visit. He does not sell air conditioning and heating units, he only repairs them. I felt he could offer an honest opinion, not trying to sell us a new unit. The communication was great and he was very business like.

He was awesome. He had to come a second time because there was a terrible smell. He did a very nice job and we were very pleased with him. The price wasn't very much.

We have an LG Dryer. He was very good. He was very kind and persistent. I normally call him and leave a message. He calls back within a few hours on the same day. That is nice. He is very responsive. The price was reasonable. He tried to save me money where he could. He installed a new gas control.

Recharging the coolant definitely helped the temperature control. Ice has begun forming again, so there's something still faulty about the fridge's operation. We have not had a chance to call Bill again (as of this writing).

Very well - lots of communication from him and his employee. Note that they do not take credit cards so have a check or cash handy upon completion of the job.

We've always had a very good experience with Bill.

Bill examined a washing machine that had stopped performing the spin cycle. Called, left message. Call returned same day and appt. made. Bill arrived on time, took off the panels showed me what was broken and advised me that given the age of the machine that repair would not be cost effective. He was very polite and professional.

We needed an appliance repair guy and an AC guy so we wanted to see if we could schedule them at the same time. Searched Angie's List for an appliance repair guy and found Bill's Appliance and Air. Bill's had an A rating and great reviews and he was located nearby. I gave the information to my wife because she is able to schedule time at home during the week. She called on Monday and scheduled a visit on Tuesday morning. Melvin showed up at about 11 o'clock. My wife said that he was a young guy who was very polite, knew what he was doing and quickly went about the repairs. We have two AC units, he recharged the downstairs unit and checked the upstairs unit and found that it was OK. He quickly found the bad part in the dryer and made the replacement.

Bill responded immediately (late on a Friday afternoon!) to m urgent request for refrigerator service. He diagnosed and repaired the problem quickly and at a very fair price. Great experience.

On Sunday, I realized that my dishwasher was not right. I like to play around with these things myself, but I couldn't think of what to do. By Tuesday, the dishes were really piling up. My wife is home on Tuesday and Fridays...so on Tuesday morning I called another well rated company on Angie's list. They told me they could fit me in on Friday and that a service call would cost $55. I then remembered that I had used Bill's in the past and they were good. I called Bill and he was at my house in under 2 hours...and charged a service call fee of $45. Bill immediately diagnosed a difficult problem and told my wife exactly what to expect next. The part came in, and Bill sent one of his workers out to install it on Friday. It was a difficult installation, and his worker couldn't get it right. They apologized and without questioning called Bill to come service it himself on Saturday. He came exactly when he said on Saturday and had a little trouble too...but got the job done well. I was very happy with their work. I didn't mind at all that his worker couldn't get it right on Friday, because they handled the setback perfectly. They explained the problem, explained what they would do next, and then did it and charged us exactly the amount he quoted me on the first call on Tuesday. Thanks Bill!

They were prompt and did a good job. I thought that there was a problem with the machine, but it wasn’t. Something was disconnected and they fixed the problem.

It went very well. He was prett quick and he got it done. The price was good.

My washing machine wasn't agitating. Bill called back right away, came over the same day, fixed it in no time and didn't charge me a fortune.

Bill's was the first company to return my call about my broken broiler. I scheduled an appointment for a two-hour window of time and the serviceman arrived in the middle of the two-hour window. He diagnosed the problem, which was a broken igniter for the broiler. He also checked the oven igniter and it needed to be replaced too. (I hadn't done any baking lately, so I did not know that it was broken.) Now it works great!

My dishwasher was leaking badly. Initially, it was believed to be the seal. After the seal was replaced, the dishwasher continued to leak. Bill and his assistant returned to the house 3 more times until the leak was finally fixed. Although it was a hassle to get fixed, Bill and his assistant were never anything but patient and willing to come and get the job done.

I called Bill's Appliance and left a message. They returned my initial call promptly, made an appointment for two days out. The repair technician arrived at the early end of the promised time range, diagnosed the problem promptly, had to leave to get a part, but returned and repaired the problem in less than two hours.
