Technician arrived when he was scheduled. We were given a 2 hour window and the technician arrived early. He called but we didn't hear the phone so the tech waited until the allotted time before knocking. It wasn't necessary but quite nice of him to be observant of the window. Technician was very personable and friendly. Cleaning the furnace probably took a little longer than normal (a couple of hours) because he broke 2 pieces in the process. He went to the supply house and replaced them rapidly with no charge. He also let us know that this is somewhat common with our brand of furnace. When he was finished, everything was cleaned up and put back in place. A very complete job. I will say that I did see other lower priced deals after I bought this but I suspect that if another company had run into issues with the furnace, they may not have replaced the parts for free. All in all, a good experience.

Scott was prompt, professional, and friendly. He provided a ton of information, and answered all of my questions. He gave me estimates for a couple different options and was not the least bit pushy. He seemed very honest and represented the family feel of his company. Unfortunately, the y are a Carrier dealer which is a top of the line furnace and costs a bit more than what I was prepared to pay. I am selecting from other less expensive estimates.

They cleaned the units and did a good job. They did what they said they would.

It went great! Chicagoland Heating and Cooling were at my house most recently on July 27, 2012. I had called requesting a check-up after trees had fallen on my home during a storm three days earlier and covered the a/c condenser with debris. My condenser was fine and the technician explained his concerns about what could have been damaged by the debris, and showed me that the condenser unit was not severely damaged. I have this company out every spring for an a/c clean and check, and in the fall for furnace clean and check. The technicians answer my questions and explain the service they provide in the cleanings. The clean-and-check service runs about $89.00

I thought I might be low on freon because when the weather got up to 100 degrees it didn't seem to be cooling well. I called Chicagoland Heating & Air Conditioning because of the reviews on Angie's List and the special price. I was given an appointment time and Rob called at 8:30 am to tell me he was on his way. He arrived within 15 minutes. I explained the problem and he checked the air conditioner & freon. He said the freon was OK and continued checking the air conditioner. He did a very thorough job checking all connections and wires. He then proceeded to thoroughly clean the air conditioner. Rob said the air conditioner was running OK and went into the house and checked the thermostat and furnace. My furnace and air conditioner are 23 yrs old but Rob said they were running fine. He then changed the filter and gave me tips on how to save money using the air conditioner. He did say that maybe the fan on the furnace wasn't large enough to push out the air flow. We did discuss newer models and the benefits of them. I know my system is 23 yrs old and will need to be replaced in the future. I am not in the position to replace them now and there was no hard sell or anything to get me to buy a new system. I would recommend this company to anyone. They are professional and honest. I will use them again when needed.

I called due to an old air conditioner not working during a heat wave. They came out in about a day to look at the problem, which was great. Unfortunately, the AC had a leak again. I decided to replace, rather than fix, it this time. In addition, they replaced a 29 year old hot water heater. I received a very fair quote to do the work. It was easy to schedule, and they were on time. The inspector found a few items that needed to be addressed due to changes in the code since the old units were put in. They addressed all those items quickly, even if they did not create them. The workers were courteous, cleaned up the work space, etc They didn't try and oversell me on the new units. They were nice to deal with from looking at the problem to getting a quote to doing the work. I would recommend them.

They were great at explaining everything to us and were very professional.

Our furnace went out during one of the first cold weeks of the fall. Called a service tech and he stated the blower motor was locked up, there was a crack in chamber #3 and the furnace needs to be replaced. We have used Chicagoland before for the installation of our A/C unit about two years ago and they did really good work. So we obtained an estimate from them as well as another company for the installation of 3 types of furnaces, a base one, 80% efficiency and a high efficiency. Prices were very competitive between the 2 estimates. We received a call back from CHICAGOLAND HEATING & A/C INC asking if we had made a decision on the 2 estimates. I stated yes that we would go with them for the installation of the high efficiency furnace and the representative said she would call me back with an available date and time for installation. I was able to get an installation date 2 days later. Two installers arrived at 9:00 a.m. prompt and ready to work. Between them, they had over 30 years of work experience which made me feel at ease. They prepped the area before starting the job. By 3:00 p.m. the area was clean and I was being shown how to work the new thermostats. They did a great job and It was a pleasure to work with them. I would highly recommend them.

After the horrendous July 24 rains, our always-dry-for-23-years basement filled with 18 inches of water, which ruined a barely two-year old hot water heater and the circuit board on the furnace (both of which were installed by a different company). Other companies we called were charging outrageous markups due to all of the ruined equipment in the basements of the Chicagoland area. These guys explained just what needed to be fixed and what didn't, and charged their regular prices. This is the kind of honest business which will keep customers returning.

They did a great job. We had a small issue and they got right on that and got it taken care of. They have been excellent in follow up visits and have been a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend them.

They were very professional and punctual. They did not make a mess, and did a very good job. I had hired them before as well for a furnace problem, which they rectified. My overall experience with them has been good.

I was not happy with their service; they were a little irresponsible with the duct work that was already installed. I have an old house and the duct work had asbestos with it. They tampered with it and did not think about the consequences. They could have advised me before hand rather than after the fact. After the work, they were trying to avoid me.

Poorly. The technician arrived timely and looked at the control box. After concluding that the wiring was fine, rather than delving deeper to discover the problem, the technician accepted my $95 payment and left. Later that day I called to explain that the problem persisted. The next day, Saturday, I called to have a technician return to my home. The answering service, claiming ignorance, refused to quote the "emergency service price" but I authorized a return trip anyhow. I received a call from Chicagoland explaining all was well and that the problem must exist elsewhere, e.g. circuit panel. I then called another company, who discovered that the unit continually shorted because a wire leading to the compressor had melted and caused an improper connection. The technician showed me the wire's residue inside the unit. In short, Chicagoland missed the problem and subsequently missed my order of a new unit, as well as a new furnace, humidifier and filtration system.

THEY WERE ABLE TO ARRIVE SAME DAY FOR SERVICE CALL. KEN DIAGNOSED PROBLEM AS A COMMON WIRE NOT RECONNECTED CORRECTLY. CHECKED UNIT IN GENERAL, AND WAS DONE IN ONLY A FEW MINUTES. HONEST, SIMPLE SOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM; CHARGED ONLY FOR THE SERVICE CALL.

MY AMERICAN STANDARD FURNACE IS 2 YEARS OLD. THE FURNACE NEVER ACTED UP UNTIL IT WAS SERVICED AND CLEANED. I LATER NEEDED TO HAVE A LARGER LIMIT INSTALLED, AND AFTER THAT, THE CIRCUIT BOARD NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. CHICAGOLAND HEATING ALWAYS RESPONDED PROMPTLY TO MY CALLS AND IS FAIR IN THEIR PRICING. THE FURNACE IS WORKING PERFECTLY, NOW.

HE CAME TWO TIMES. THE FIRST VISIT, HE JUST TURNED ON THE FURNACE AND PUT THE THERMOSTAT WHERE IT SHOULD BE. THE FURNACE STILL WASN'T WORKING RIGHT SO I CALLED HIM AGAIN. HE CAME OUT AND DIDN'T DO ANYTHING, HE SAID I SHOULDN'T BOTHER FIXING THIS ONE AND SHOULD BUY A NEW ONE. I HAD TO PAY HIM TWO SERVICE CALLS FOR $80 EACH FOR NOTHING. I WOULDN'T USE THEM AGAIN.

HAVE USED THEM FOR YEARS FOR A VARIETY OF SERVICES AND HAVE ALWAYS FOUND THEM TO BE RELIABLE, PROFESSIONAL, AND HAVE ALWAYS BEEN PLEASED WITH THEIR WORK.
