Joe Russo is great! He came out personally when we opened and closed the pool. When they came to open the pool the previous owners had left the cover with holes in it so the water was green and awful. They had to drain the enitre thing and acid wash it. When they finished the pool looked brand new. They then did the weekly maintenance and closed the pool in the fall. Joe gives very fair rates (lower than most other's I called) and does a good job. I would say it is sometimes hard to get the staff at the store to call you back. But if I ever call Joe directly he answers or calls back right away. We will be using them again this summer.

I have worked with Anthony in the store and Cruz in at my property. Both are great to work with and willing to explain what is needed. Bottom line i trust them since i know nothing about a pool.

I would welcome Russo staff to work on my bathtub jacuzzi again. Don't bother with email communication from the website. I ended up having to call on the phone anyway, and I was asked to repeat everything that I had put in the email message.

They came out and basically told me they couldn't do anything and they left. The next day, the woman from the company called and said we owed them $100 because they came into our house so I did not like that because there was no service provided.

Ed was very professional, he replaced the heat sensor which was about 16 degrees off. He showed me the proper way to install the filter cartridge (which I never had istalled correctly fromthe beginning),and repaired a slight leak while he was here. I did have to contact Russo's Pool And Spa via email due to the store being closed for the week (which was not on te store hours recording and trying to use voice mail via the '0' button the mail box was full), but Ed did respond with-in a couple hours of the email and scheduled my service for the following day.

sorry...i think i got the services and overall story all in one: here it is again from the services performed section: we bought a house this spring that came with a hottub. we hadn't even opened the cover and didn't know anything about getting it started up or maintaining it. the man from Russo came and got it opened, emptied the antifreeze stuff and got it filled. he was extraordinarily helpful. the previous owners had tied a tarp over the cover with a long rope and lots of knots. he got all those off after a lot of time and energy, and even had me find him some bug spray to get rid of a budding wasps nest he found under the cover. while the spa filled he went over the huge box of miscellaneous chemicals the previous owners left behind. he sorted them all out and then told me what each one was used for. after the spa was full he showed me how to check the water/chemical levels and take care of it. he was patient and thorough. a very very nice service person. it was an A+ experience all around. Thank you Russo Pools!

From start to finish, I really felt like they did their job exactly as I would have done it and didn't need to be told anything!

We purchased our first home last year and it came with an in-ground pool. The liner was in terrible shape, but we made it work last summer, even though we had to fill it with water every two days due to holes. We decided this year we needed a new liner. We got about five quotes from vendors around the area and Russo's came in at the best price for the highest quality liner (THOUSANDS less than other local vendors). At first, we were a bit wary about the price difference, but we asked Russo's for some references and they were all positive. Russo's came and removed the old liner and the new liner was ordered. In less than two weeks the new liner arrived and Russo's called right away to schedule the installation. They came and installed the liner and the new safety cover we purchased and it all looks wonderful!

The story begins when we inherited a hot tub on our rooftop deck, which previous owner claimed was working fine. But 80% of the time we tried to heat it up to 100deg, it tripped an LF code and stopped heating at around 80deg. We hired someone from another company to take a look and the short story is, he assumed it was a problem with either the control panel or some sensor underneath the "hood" that would require part replacement. And our deck was not designed well enough to get easy access to the panel, so he basically blew it off after an hour. Wasted $120. Then we found Russo's on Angie's list, and Ed came into the city the next day. Ed is a Coleman certified technician that has worked on Colemans for something like 20 years. First Ed identified a couple of the Jet1 jets were over-rotated, and these jets are what gets this tub to flow properly. He also found our filter was improperly set, causing further flow issues. To top it off though, even though it's not exactly part of his job description, on my request he spent 90 minutes helping to break down our deck so we could access the control panel. Once open, he found some small leaks due to loosened caps, and was able to test that the electrical was operating properly. Now the tub heats up without a problem, and we did not have to order extra parts, and we have access to the control panel in case of future repairs.

They are okay. They were pretty pricey and the estimate was about $700. The guy who came out to help was really helpful and he was a really great guy. The main person was also helpful but he would not get back to me. The office staff lady who I would talk to was really rude and bad. She actually told me they don’t have a Cruz and they don’t have a guy named Cruz working for them. I talked to her manager and he said that’s the guy who comes to do the estimates. He had told us why it broke but never mentioned that in the estimate. Our landlord needed a copy of why it was broken and the manager said he would send it over and we never heard from him. He never sent it over and he said he would call me back with the invoice but he didn’t. I needed the invoice as it was torn but then later I made do with the copy I had. He tried to be helpful but he tried to get me off the phone so I won’t be unhappy any more. The guy who came out was great but it was just the company which was not. The guy who came out was Cruz and he was really helpful and he helped us out. He was just super. If they had given me the paper work I would have rated them higher. The girl in the office was terrible and the manager was decent.

The first time they were here was for patching up some leaks, then they found that the heating element has to be replaced and then they ordered that part and came back to replace the heater element. They were very conscious of the cost and they told us that it would cost more if they do patch work for the leakages and if we could let it freeze in the winter and we could adjust with that for some more time. I really appreciated their honesty. They were on time. They were super nice. They told us to get the hot tub ready before they came so that they didn’t have to spend time on doing anything. They ordered the part and it took two weeks for the part to arrive then they fixed it up very fast. I would rate them high overall. It was definitely a pricy field but they minimized as much as they could and they were very helpful. They were very competitively priced. Their quality of work was fine. There responsiveness is great because I called them and we scheduled the appointment within two days and it was very fast. I would use them again in the future.

We moved into a house which had a hot tub which the previous owners had never used. As we were not familiar at all with hot tubs, we called Russo's to ensure it was operational. They were very knowledgeable and even went to buy me a hose (which I did not have as a new homeowner) to fill the tub. The only criticism I will offer is they were scheduled for 11 and they arrived at 8:30 when I was on a business call.

I have an above ground pool and needed a heater that would be energy efficient and inconspicuous....the team at Russo's not only spent time educating me on all of the equipment and its costs differences (without making me feel like I was wasting their time), but had it delivered as I was leaving their store...they arrived just I as pulled into my garage-that's never happened to me with all of my personal and business purchases. Their installation was professional, informative (the delivery man also knew the equipment start to finish, which saved me time reading a manufacturer's 50 page book). The service (I wanted a seamless intall with affordable, reliable equipment that allowed me to enjoy our pool not spend time maintaining it), the cleanliness of their work are all backed up by this family-owned business - I don't normally submit reports but I thought this company really warranted my response.

On time. It was hard to get hot tub in backyard, but they were able to get it done. They hooked up electricity and it works great.

RUSSO'S WAS OVER 2 HOURS LATE, BUT THE MEN WHO CAME TO CLOSE THE POOL WERE VERY FRIENDLY & PROFESSIONAL. THEY WORKED QUICKLY & GOT THE JOB DONE WELL WITHOUT A LOT OF FUSS OR MESS. WE WILL HIRE THEM AGAIN IN THE SPRING TO OPEN THE POOL.
