Russo's Pool & Spa Inc

This place has terrible customer service and doesn't care about small pool purchases (they only prioritize big projects). As of May 14, 2020, I paid (down payment) for a 16' pool from Russo's Pools. I was told my pool would be installed in July 2020. The installer was to go out to look at the site within 1 week. They never did. I called and got no one, only leaving a message or the phone just ringing. This was all last summer 2020 with no communication. I contacted Russo's pool in March 2021 and was told they didn't have my pool nor had any idea what happened. They have given me the run-around since. I was told the installer would call me, and week after week, they did not. Not until I asked to speak to the owner that the installer called me, stating he had JUST gotten my number. The owner discussed them obtaining and installing an 18' pool to make things right. Anthony Russo is now stating he never said that; he says he only said he would look into it. All discussions about pool and site were about 18'. Even the assistant I have been talking to this week has been checking deliveries for the 18' pool and working on getting one. Anthony Russo says he can't do that, and I am here 334 days later and NO pool.

No reply from company at all. Not even an email saying the job wasn't in their parameters or that they were too busy. Very disappointed that we did not even receive a courtesy reply.

They did a good job. They were very good and I've used them more than once. I would recommend them.

they had to dig out some for our pool they brought along sheets of rubber to drive the earth mover on so it didn't damage the yard I was very impressed .they cleaned up after themselves and were very polite a first rate crew along with owner

Nice people, but they do not do much for the huge cost.

They came out and said they needed to order a part to fix the issue. I paid them for the part and service call. They never came back.

great ! Ed , the serviceman, called me 30 minutes before, showed up on time and was great! I wish the person at office had told me to fill it. But he was very patient, very nice and showed me all that needed to be done and the price before he did it.

Terrible service! It cost us $150 for them to drive out, pick up a part and drive back to deliver it after it was fixed. They didn't respond to our multiple phone calls. Didn't come when they had indicated. Didn't call us when instructed prior to getting parts. When we called to complain, their response was not satisfactory. Our pool is still not opened and we've paid $345.00. We bought our pool from Russo's years ago and thought they were wonderful. Not so much anymore!!! They've really gone downhill.

Project went as communicated. Russo's communicated all the steps and the project went as expected. Installed a 30x15 fiberglass pool with slide. They recommended great features with lights and the pool slide works great. The pool was great to use over the summer and is ready for 2016 as well. We have an auto cover which is highly recommended to keep out debris from the pool. The pool is beautiful and we love it.

Rick Olandese approached our large project with a professional attitude and outstanding communication.He came on time and kept in touch with us on a regular basis. As we all know, maintaining and operating a pool can mean unexpected problems - everything from weather to parts that don't seem to fit. Rick took full responsibility of the entire project, working closely with Ed Morrison to ensure our happiness. When things didn't go as planned, Ed returned graciously - even on the weekend - to fix skimmer and heater issues we couldn't figure out. They are both warm and friendly, incredibly easy to contact and an absolute pleasure to work with. Owning and operating small businesses is the bread and butter of our community and it is a pleasure to recommend these outstanding service people. A representive of Russos came to our home to inspect of hot tub and provide an estimate for repairs. He identified the parts that needed to be replaced and promised to call us back. We haven't heard a word from him since his initial visit. I have called Russo's at least 4 times and sent them an e-mail on another occasion. If they didn't want to do the work, I wish they would just say so.

A majority of the work was done before I arrived home and the team of installers were very professional and courteous. The workers returned several times over the next few days to install various parts of the pool depending on the water height. There was an issue with the factory gasket on the pool and Russo's was very responsive in returning to my home to fix the issue without question. Dan at Russo's answered several of my questions and helped me along the way with pool how-tos and maintenance tips and tricks. Everyone was extraordinarily friendly.

Above ground pool was opened. They took the cover off, folded it up and placed it by my shed, filled the pool with water and treated it with chemicals. However...they did not fill the pool enough to run the filter, did not put in the stairs or check to see if my heater was in working order as requested over the phone. I was not notified in any way about the status of my pool heater. No report or bill of service was given. They charged the wrong credit card and left their tools on my deck. Also, not very customer service friendly over the phone. They seem almost "bothered" when I called to request their service. Needless to say, I will not be using them again.

It just took a little bit for them to respond back, but generally they were pretty good.

They did a good job. They did it on scheduled and as planned with no problems.

Utterly late and unresponsive; Horrible Experience If your going to do business with this outfit, expect to hear, "I'm sorry, it was not our fault, it was a misunderstanding....repeat" In early May 14 we contracted with Russos to replace our pool liner. This was in our estimation a fairly simple job for a pool contractor. We put down a deposit, picked out the pool liner and scheduled an install date for the 4th of June. Russos sent someone out to personally estimate the job. During this estimate we were told to buy a number of replacement parts for the pool and fifteen bags (50lbs each) of playground sand for our pool bottom. (We found it a little strange that the company wouldn't order the necessary parts, sand and whatnot when it ordered the liner, but we played along.) We loaded our car with 750lbs of sand and walked each 50lb bag the full length of our 1/2 acre property to ensure that the sand was sitting poolside when the workers arrived. Fast forward to install day (which I had taken off). No call, no show, no nothing. We called Russos to see what happened, we were told it turned out that there was a schedule mixup and the manufacturer didn't follow-up on our liner order, and that the liner was out of stock (after 3 weeks we found this out!!!). Russos said they were sorry. We were told we needed to pick out another liner and the job would be scheduled for the following week. I called every other day to confirm the next appointment and was assured that it would take place. The liner didn't happen the following week either. Again, it was the liner distributor's fault. (BTW, Russos was adamant that they would passionately lobby the liner distributor for us a discount - which they feel we legitimately deserved -- and they would follow up with us about this. Never heard back.) After calling Russos repeatedly, they arranged for our liner to be installed around the 3rd week of June. Russos wants you to have a water truck waiting so once the installers replace the liner, water can be pumped in and the holes can be cut. Problem is, Russos missed two appointments and on the 3rd appointment gave us 48 hours notice. We can't source a water truck with 2 days notice. Russos crew did perform the install on the 3rd Saturday in June, but we had to use a garden hose to fill it, so the job couldn't be finished. Russos demanded payment in full for the job that day, and assured me that they would return the following Monday once the pool was nearly full. Did they return on Monday? Nope! Finally, after 3 consecutive days of calling almost nonstop, the crew returned to cut the return and skimmer holes for our liner. The liner is finally in. It's a pool - the amount of headache and energy that we devoted to getting this job finished properly would be akin to what it would take to build a house. Russos ultimately finished the job, but for a working couple simply looking to swim, it was one of the more painful experiences we've ever had. BTW: Those fifteen 50lb bags of playground sand were not needed at all. We're stuck with it. Again, Russos was sorry about that too.

We've been working with them and so far it has been excellent. My husband is very happy. So far things are going well. We haven't finished the work yet, but we'll get there soon. They're just waiting on another contractor to finish up his job so he can get in there to do the installation. The quality of their work stands out and they deliver a good product to the customer.

The crew showed up on time, and completed the job. Did not cut corners. We are happy with the result.

I didn't use them. They seemed very good with customer service. I would consider using them.

The experience was good. They’re timely and efficient. It’s a good service.

They came out fixed a pump and real wasn't interested in providing much help in how to maintain and set up the hot tub. I would not recommend.

Dan was nice, informative and had great follow up. When I was ready to move forward with the project, I felt the proposal had holes and I was concerned I wasn't getting the whole picture and feared getting hit with "unanticipated" fees. For this reason only, I went with another company that had an incredibly thorough quote and promised that anything beyond that quote they would pay for. That said, I would have loved to gone with Russo's.

The gentleman was nice, friendly and prompt. It was raining out, he would have to work with electricity, and he called to say that he wouldn't be able to come out because of the rain. He then called to say that it had stopped and so he would come out. He was very responsible and his communication was good.

The technician was rude from day one. He appeared to be afraid to enter our home. He became indignant with my dad when he was finished assessing the problem with the tub. I had called their office to tell them I would pay with a credit card with the assessment was done. He didn't believe my dad when he told him that I had called the office and would be paying with a credit card. So, my dad paid him cash. When I got the chance to speak to this tech, his was short with me as well. He told me that I had to pay for the part upfront before they would even make an appointment to install the motor. I didn't like the way that this was going but I still needed to get my tub fixed, so I agreed to purchase the motor. The new motor came in a week after my purchasing it and the same rude techician came out and guess what? The motor didn't fit. That brings me to today( a week later) and the new motor was finally installed. The tech called me when he was done and told me the amount that I was to pay. I asked what the hourly rate was and he replied and told me what the rate is and he then said but you had me working in a 8 inch whole so that is what took me so long. Per my dad the jacuzzi is working. I am happy about that but not happy with Russo's Pool and Spa. Maybe this person had a problem with the neighborhood or....... Denise

Called Russo's Pools. Pleasant to deal with, very accommodating. The repairman, Ed, came out a day or two later. Very cold outside. Ed examined the mechanics and electronics of this older Jaccuzi (inherited it from my neighbor over twenty years ago!), diagnosed and EXPLAINED the problem. Fixed the problem and TESTED it to make sure that the unit was working properly. Enjoyed the hot tub last night. Ed knew what he was doing, did a great job at a very reasonable price. I am calling Russo's and asking for ED whenever I have a hot tub issues. Thanks, Ed!
