They dismantled and removed an 18' x 34' above ground pool

Advised on appropriate new heater. Negotiated reasonable price. Installed at agreed upon time and removed old heater. Also did some extra work on a pool inlet and wiring of pump motor at reasonable price. Courtreous, knowlegable technicians.

They came out to discuss the possibility of installing an inground pool. We delayed the process and will go back to them in the future when we make a decision to move forward.

There is nothing bad; they were amazing. They came out at the drop of a hat. Any time I had a problem, Joe gave me his cell number. Any time I have asked for anything he is on it. They had the best price out of 10 different pool companies.

I called Russo several times. The first few times the person that answered the phone did not have a good grasp of English and was very curt and rude. I left a message with their voicemail asking to call me back, they never did. Since I didn't have many options in spa service, I tried calling again and eventually got a receptionist who told me that she would have their spa specialist give me a call to schedule an appointment. No one ever called.

And I wanted to give them 5 stars, and I will give them six if I could. It was the service and the quality of the work. It is our home maintenance goes, I was having an in ground pool and it has been a worst thing in my life. If I found him 20 years ago, I would probably sealed up a pool. They are the best pool people I have ever had. I would recommend them to anybody who will use any kind of pool service at all. Just a sealed in part was around $8000 but the entire bill was like $11000. I will tell you they were some of the best people I ever had. Make sure you give them an extra star.

Everything went very well. They were very accommodating and contributed significantly to the success of a graduation party for our son. We have used them before and will continue to. They know pools and are very good!

I scheduled a training because I started to feel like I was getting gyped by my other pool guy. He started out friendly enough and offered a good rate. Little did I know it was a sucker to get me in the door. I was swamped at work and signed up for weekly maintenance under the impression that he would teach me how to do it asap. Somehow he was never available to do the training at the times I was and insisted he could only do the maintenance when on days I was unavailable. Mysteriously my chemicals would never be sufficient and he would upcharge me to use his. Even more mysteriously, additional problems kept happening to my pool...so I finally had enough and called around to find someone else to train me. Most of Russo's competitors were either unresponsive, unprofessional or too expensive ($300 for a training, are you kidding me??!) So I went to Russo's. They were prompt, responsive, and scheduled the appointment. I actually had to cancel last minute and they kindly just rescheduled it for the next week. The following Friday morning (my appointment date) Cruz called me to tell me that he had to cancel appointments on account of the poor weather, but could come out the next day (Saturday). On Saturday he showed up at the scheduled time and gave me a courtesy call about an hour in advance. Cruz was extremely knowledgeable, patient and kind. He walked me through everything and re-explained things a couple times to make sure I got it. He labeled each part with a sharpie so I wouldn't forget and waited patiently as I took notes. He has a good sense of humor, is kind and professional. I will definitely be using Russo's for all my future needs (openings and winterizings, maintenance, etc.) This is the company to trust!

Worked with Anthony and Joe Russo. Anthony was my initial contact who helped price the project and advise me on all my options. Once we agreed to move forward, Joe took over and managed the project. He intially came out for onsite inspection of pool and to present liner options. We were conflicted on which liner to choose so Joe offered to come out a second time to show us liner samples again-- very much appreciated. We had a deadline that we hoped to beat but knew would be a challenge. Joe agreed to get it done in time and did with days to spare. Everyone who worked onsite was professional and capable.

Russo's Pool & Spa were a little iffy at the beginning, but at the end, they came through and did a great job. They did a great job. They fixed it and it was fine. I think the only problem I had with them is they keep putting me off about coming. They kept saying they had pools versus a spa to take care of. I said, "Okay, but you left me with a spa that wasn't working. Then they had concerns whether they could get to the spot to fix it, whether they could actually reach it. Their prices were decent.

We moved into a house with a pool and had no experience with owning or maintaining a pool before that. Cruz from Russo's opened the pool for us and replaced two pumps, the filter, an installed a chlorinator. They also showed me the basic tasks that I needed to perform now that I am a pool owner. I have also been able to get quick answers to pool questions that I have had. I think this company provides top notch service and I would strongly recommend them.

I got a competitive quote from Russo's Pool & Spa. The quote was quick and competitive but I did not decide to go with that company. The quote was nice, the gentleman was nice. It was a bit tough to get hold of somebody. It was very hard to get in touch with somebody who was responsible.

The serviceman was very professional and efficient in his work.

I called to request assistance with pool pump issue. He never returned the phone call.

Called 2 times Left 2 messages that I needed service No call back My 3rd call for an appointment they couldn't make an appointment Because the scheduler again was unavailable I said no thank you if they don't call back for an appointment Why would they call back after an appointment if there was a problem. I will go elsewhere.

Based on homeowner's inspection (selling side), we needed to fix a leak. However, neither our (amateur) or this serviceman's inspection showed an active leak. Regardless, he advised how long it would take to examine, then fix it anyway. Area was left clean, I was well informed of charges and my options.

They arrived two hours late without calling to notify us of their tardiness, but once here worked quickly and efficiently to perform their tasks.

The technician, Ed, was professional, knowledgeable and experienced. The work was completed well and seems to be working. Thank you ED!

They are in process of replacing my pool liner. I have a custom inground pool and they were very reasonably priced. Extremely knowledgable as well. They were punctual and always returned my phone calls. We had communication issues initially but that was soley due to Angie's list system. Would definitely use them again to service my pool.

So far... so good. Our appointment to open the pool is scheduled for the end of May. I will update the review after the full services have been completed. *********************************************************************************************************************************************** Update: My appointment was scheduled for 5/29 between the hours of 9 am and 11 am. The two technicians showed up at around 10:30 am. Since this was the first time I had opened this pool, I wasn't sure what to expect. The techs removed the cover, washed it down with the garden hose and folded it up. They put the cartridges in the pool filter and started the system and heater. They dumped 4 gallons of shock in the pool and left everything floating on top and settled on the bottom - and there was a lot of dirt. They brushed the sides down and said they were done. It took less than two hours and even though their website showed a $500 fee for the in ground pool opening - including start up chemicals, I was charged an additional $98.26 for the chlorine and salt. They left my very heavy pool liner sitting on my grass and I had to point out the fact that they didn't wash my concrete decking down. They left me with a very smelly, dirty pool and told me it would clear up in a few days. They also left me for 6 - 40 lb bags of salt on the side of my home and told me I would need to add them to the pool in a few days??? I'm about 100 pounds so lifting a 40 lb bag of salt is going to be a bit of a challenge for me. After they "finished" I spent am additional 6 hours vacuuming and scooping out all of the muck and leaves on the bottom of the pool. Needless to say, I won't be hiring them for a return visit. I was very disappointed to have waited 3 weeks when I could have done what they did by myself. I'm guessing I would have saved myself a lot of time and money had I just done the research on what was involved with a pool opening and opened it myself. For some reason, I thought that they would actually clean the pool and surrounding deck area, put the chemicals in and have my pool ready for use. I guess $600 doesn't buy much any more. Very disappointed and will not be using them again.

The repair was quick, worked just fine after installation. I thought I had a problem with it a few weeks later, called about it, and was able to do some trouble shooting over the phone. No issues with the repair work performed, was operator error!

The tech came out as scheduled and let us know that we had an aeration issue that was causing problems in our rooftop hot tub. We ordered the part and fixed the issue.
