Description of Work: Needed an access point set up to get wired access to tv/Roku and wireless on the other half of the house. Mark came out for an initial assessment. Instructed me to hire an electrician to come to run the Cat 5 wire throughout the house and order the proper access point. Once I had that done, Mark came back, connected the ends on the wires and hooked up the access point. Now wifi throughout the house is solid and I have a wired connection straight to Roku/tv.

Description of Work: We have an all in one machine (big mistake). It was 7 months old. It would not turn on. They came out and did a thorough inspection and tried many things to get it to work. If it wasn't an all in one they could have fixed it. We could not fix it, however they got the hard drive out for us to get our information off. We would use them again.

Description of Work: Attempted to repair my laptop. Ran scans for malware, viruses. Uninstalled some programs. The problem of crashing/blue screening remained.

He returned my call promptly, was patient in discussing my problem, and his advice worked, all free of charge. I greatly appreciated his honesty and will call him when it turns out I really need to pay for his services.

Description of Work: Mark helped me get my wireless working better: faster with wider range. I had given him a list of my complaints about my tech life in general and he came prepared with a potential tool (a new router) which turned out to be very helpful. I was very happy he had thought to bring it so that we didn't need to turn it into a two-visit solution. He spent two hours with us on a Sunday appointment scheduled just a few days before. One thing on my "list" was a backup system. He pointed me in a direction which was very helpful - saving me hours of research and uncertainty as to whether I picked the right one by giving me a suggestion on which to use so I appreciated that.

Description of Work: They reconfigured my desktop computer and upgraded the hardware and operating system. We have had no trouble with it since this work was done.

Description of Work: About ten years ago, my wife and I both first started using Loewy Consulting for various computer issues. Mark, the owner, is very knowledgable and quite invested in seeing that your computer problem gets fixed. He always comes up with an effective, and cost-conscious, plan to solve your computing problems. I have referred him to friends who have also had an excellent experience with his service. Description of Work: I saw this on Angie's List big deal. I wanted my lap top to be wireless and I wanted my lap top to connect wirelessly to one of my tvs. I had purchased a wireless laptop to hdtv kit. I probably could have done it myself but I didn't want to put myself through the agony of trying (it was well worth $115). It took him less than the two hours alloted to wirelessly connect my desktop, laptop, printer and Ipad. It would have taken me the better part of a weekend to do all that. I'm sure I will use his services in the future.

Description of Work: My computer had some malware that shut down the entire machine. Mark was very responsive and although he had to do a complete wipe of the machine, was able to save most of the important files. He wasn't cheap, but he was competitive with Geek Squad and I think I received much better service than GS. A side note, about $60 of the price went toward purchasing data backup software.

Description of Work: Mark was on time and helped me connect my new Windows 7 box to my XP machines. He was quick and helped me understand whqt he did.

Description of Work: I got stuck downloading some mal ware that destroyed my ability to use a laptop. I thought before I threw out the machine or wiped the hard drive clean I would call MArk and see if anything could be done. I was ready to drive it down to him so he could work on it, but he solved the problem walking me through a solution over the phone.
