A friend who saw photos of our "before and after" of the patio and sidewalks on Facebook said the new look was "Amazing." We're quite happy with the work that was done. Dan and his crew were polite and efficient. We had to wait for them to do the work because of their summer work load, but it was worth it!

We continue to get prompt and helpful service from the team at Joe and Tony's. We've had minor issues with plants needing to be replaced and repairs to the hardscaping since the project was completed in 2013. Each time, the staff responded quickly and in a way that we were happy with the results. We highly recommend Joe and Tony's for landscaping services.

We are into our second year with Joe and Tony Landscaping and I would recommend them wholeheartedly. They have performed as they said they would and continue to care for my lawn the way I want it to. If I have an issue it gets handled immediately and to my satisfaction. They use quality suppliers. I asked for two trees to be planted and the ones they brought were very healthy and have flourished.

I had recently gotten an estimate form another company that only accepted cash or check and wanted a deposit weeks before the job were to start, I didn't feel comfortable in giving people cash/check not knowing if they would return to do the job weeks later. I contacted this provider after finding the information on Angies List. The reason I contacted them was because they listed credit card as accepted form of payment. I got a call with a business day or two and we scheduled for him to come over and give estimate. After Luigi came to give me the estimate he insisted in being paid in cash, he said no to a check, or money order or credit card. Since he didn't request a down payment to start the service I didn't think much of it. He arrived with the crew but left right after so I was unable to discuss further how to pay since they showed up to do the work. I texted him and asked if i could pay with a credit card over the phone so he would not have to return to receive payment. I didn't feel comfortable having to go to the bank and withdrawal $2000. In fact we were unable to do so because of limitation of the ATM. My husband drove to a branch and got the money. I felt very uncomfortable paying for a service all in cash for this high amount. I never had an issue paying with credit card or even a check before. And that is the reason why I would not hire them again. I see payment in cash not only inconvenient, but it takes away a proof of payment for me and it makes me think that the business is trying to pay works under the table or not pay taxes. I am not saying that this is the case for this company but after this experience that is the last time I will do such a thing. As far as the job performed, it was good.

We told Dan what we wanted and he gave a detailed quotation with drawing. Their pricing was pretty competitive and we decided to go with them. Dan took care of our permit quickly and his crew finished the job in 4 days. He was very easy to communicate with and we are happy with their work. The patio and steps look great!

Excellent - Design Service, Installation, Craftsmanship and Customer Service. From a farmyard to a beautiful back garden and patio. When we bought our house we inherited an unkempt back garden with poor drainage that became a mucky mess every time it rained. Dan from Joe and Tony Landscaping helped us transform our garden into a functional and beautiful outdoor space. Dan was experienced and knowledgeable and when he came to look at the garden he listened to our requirements and took the time to walk us through his recommendations for our garden. Within a day we had a drawing, video and pricing for the project - the plan was excellent and beautiful. Once we had decided to move forward - Dan's crew of landscapers came in and transformed the garden with ease and professionalism. They had all the machines and resources needed to complete the project in the shortest time frame possible and we are beyond thrilled with the patio and landscaped garden we have now. The project included the installation of proper drainage and the grading of the entire space. Our back garden and patio are beautiful, it was well worth the investment and we would recommend Joe and Tony Landscaping to anyone considering a landscaping project.

Dan is a pleasure to work with and e is extremely responsive. One thing that really "Sold" us on working with Dan were the videos that he would create for the proposed area. We are very visual people and find it hard to envision a space in a 2-D drawing. Dan's videos were SPOT ON and he would update it with changes as the project evolved. We would definitely recommend working with Joe and Tonys and we will be working with them again this Spring on a few more projects including Drainage, Landscaping and Hardscaping.

Dan was clear and direct from my first phone contact with him, noting their busy schedule and likely timeline to get to our project. Based on Angie's List reviews, we decided they were worth the wait. Responded immediately to emails and then phone calls. Within a few hours of Dan's first visit we had a 3D view available on-line. Negotiated final project and price. Dan was one of the most responsible and easiest supervisors to work with. Came by frequently during installation, corrected errors immediately with work crew. After project was complete, came by for walk-through and final invoice. A month later we noticed some pooling in the backyard. At no additional charge they came out and put in a small swale for drainage. Though this didn't solve the problem completely, we still knew they were going beyond the contract. Dan spelled out clearly care and future treatment of walk and patio. Overall this was one of the most pleasant experiences we have had in such a project, and we will be contacting them again for future landscaping and hardscaping needs.

perly correct the bill. If you hire them, check your bill carefully.I'll separate this into year 1 and 2. For year 1, their lawn cutting was fine and bed maintenance was average (they checked the beds monthly which in the height of summer was a little too seldom). But, the lawn looked terrible. It did not green up, had many weeds both in the lawn and in the beds, and developed small burn out sections which it never had before (we have a sprinkler system). We called them a couple of times but the situation didn't improve. That is why for year 2, we asked them to only do general maintenance and hired Scots Lawn Service for lawn care (lawn looked completely different). The spring and fall cleanups were ok but not nearly as thorough as our previous landscaper. Also, I had incorrect bills on 4 occasions. I called the woman who handles the bills each time. In two cases, I had to send a follow up letter with our check so she'd properly correct the bill. If you hire them, check your bills closely. Note: the $250 is a monthly charge. They charge $275 for spring and fall cleanup.

The crew did a great job! They even took care of doing steps (with the pavers) at no extra charge.

They did a very thorough job on both the raking and aeration.

They have always been puncutal & respectful of the homeowners. We have used them for over four years on the recommendation of our neighbor.

The team worked quickly and efficiently. They did a beautiful job, and we - and our neighbors- are beyond delighted with the final product. Where before we had a low curb appeal mish-mash of scattered bushes, we now have a beautiful and welcoming stone patio seating area with a well designed and low maintenance garden surrounding our yard.

Dan was great to work with. Came out to our house, listened to what we were trying to do and also gave his suggestions. Dropped off brick for us to chose and even met my wife at brick store to review further options. Was worried about the new patio not matching the old one, but Dans guys did a great job blending the old and new. Big improvement from what we had!

Was punctual, professional and responsive. Nothing more than you could ask for. The crew did a good job. I wish they would have followed my lead as requested, however in the big picture they did fine.

I put a call into Joe &Tony to get an estimate on our project after another landscape company (also an Angie's List member) never showed up for our appointment. Dan called me back and was able to meet me at our house within 30 minutes of my call. He pulled together an estimate to sod and plant trees and bushes on our property, providing digital renderings of the finished product He also pulled together an estimate to re-route a sump pump discharge to meet our city codes, both of which we moved forward on. His team was outstanding; on-time, professional and courteous - cleaning up the property and roadway easements at the end of each days work. They were very helpful and compliant when asked to cut back trees and asked questions when they were not sure if I wanted something removed from the yard. Overall, A+ service! We've already recieved several compliments from our neighbors and I'll have no problem recommending them to others who need landscape design and install. They are in the process now of pulling together a maintenance proposal for us to review. I hope they post before and after pictures of our project because it is truly a transformation like no other. They are always on time and responsive to special requests.

They have come on site weekly, and have provided continuosly great service. They adjust weed beds throughout and are very careful to take care of perennials. Our lawn has improved 100% in the last year. They have supervisors come out periodically to inspect the work. I would highly recommend them if you want a quality lawn service.

pretty standard. the work wasnt really done to my expectations, so as the guys were packing up the truck to leave, i asked tem to finish picking up the leaves and debris under a couple of bushes and trees. they did an ok job and then left without saying goodbye.

Vendor reviewed and promptly provided a written estimate within 3 days of his visit. I choose another Angie's list vendor. I regret not selecting Joe And Tony Landscaping. They have a reputation for meeting their scheduled commitments on time and within budget. One item to be aware of is their company policy regarding a 2nd estimate. I called Joe and Tony for another project the following year. They would not provide another free estimate. If I wanted an estimate they required $500.00 payment upfront. This amount could be applied to my project, if I elected to select their firm. I understand the vendor needs to justify their time spent on 'free' estimates, but I could not take the chance the their price would be 'in the ballpark'.

Dan came out early on a Saturday morning. He was prompt but wasn't necessarily eager or that approachable to discuss the project. He walked around the yard as we explained what we were looking for from the project. Again he didn't really seem eager to potentially win our business but at the time we still had an open-mind to what he could bring forward thinking maybe he just had other things on his mind. Within a few days of his visit we received an estimate along with a 3D video rendering of his proposal using Unilock's design software. We loved the use of the software to visualize the design, however there were key elements we discussed with the project that weren't considered (like not taking up a large portion of our backyard and providing an estimate for a pergola). Additionally after receiving that email we never heard from Dan inquiring if we had questions, what we thought of the design, etc. He just sent it to us and that was it. I think Dan didn't feel as if we were serious about the project and unfortunately for his company, we are spending $28,000 and it is with another company who provided the customer service level we would expect throughout the entire project. I had high hopes for this company with the rave reviews on Angie's List but I was definitely disappointed. Perhaps their landscaping (vs. hardscaping) business provides better service levels which are reflected by the positive reviews.

We went with Joe and Tony Landscaping because Dan had the best ideas for our space out of any of the other quotes we received. He had great ideas for how to make the space look finished, and I really think those extra details make the space look complete. There was less than a 6 week lead time on their work and they were able to start the project a bit earlier than the original estimate. Dan was so much more knowledgeable about landscape design and grading than other contractors and he was able to reconfigure the drainage for our patio that was a real stumbling block for other contractors. We were very impressed by the speed that the crew worked and the paver patio looks amazing. They were very willing to go above and beyond in their service and we will definitely recommend to friends and will use again for future projects.
