We hired them to install a new patio in our backyard and they exceeded the most optimistic expectation. They managed all work, from city permits to repositioning sprinkler heads and Dan is an excellent designer. The craft they put into cutting the pavers deserves a special shout out. Dan and his team are excellent and we highly recommend them if you're planning work at your house.

We moved into a new home and needed a total overhaul with our landscaping, as well installation of a new sidewalk and patio. After looking at reviews we decided to go with Joe and Tony's and I am so happy that we did. Dan is 100% committed to his clients. He was incredibly responsive from the very beginning and was very hands on throughout the entire process. He listened to us and what we were looking for, and put together mock renderings so we could see what everything would look like. After the project started, Dan stopped by our house once or twice each week to go over the work being done to make sure that everything was being done timely and correctly. If something new or random came up through the process, Dan and his crew were all over it. And just like Dan, his crew is amazing! Respectful, nice, hard working and always willing to answer questions. We'll be using Joe and Tony's Landscaping for all of our maintenance moving forward, and are so happy with their work.

Dan was very responsive when I reached out for a quote to repair uneven areas and replace a few broken pavers on our brick paver driveway. The quote was in-line with what we received from other companies so we put down a deposit to start the work based on the positive reviews we read online. After putting down the deposit is where I felt things started to go poorly. They could not provide me a date (rather an estimate) of when their crews would arrive. That is understandable in a business that can be highly dependent on the weather. However, I asked Dan to at least call the day before so we could move our cars from the garage and park them in the street. The workers arrived, did not notify us (beforehand or when they got there!) and started doing work. They had to stop and move their equipment so we could retrieve our cars and have access to them during the day. The workers did a good job leveling the uneven bricks, but they didn't complete some of the tasks from the contract (replacing broken bricks, fixing the plastic edging) and they left their empty soda cans on our driveway. We also pointed out an area that we wanted done in a specific way, and despite being told twice, they still completed it wrong. They left without notifying us they were done or allowing us to review their work. To his credit, Dan sent the crew back out again to deal with the issues, but I still feel the work wasn't done 100% to our standards. I unfortunately cannot recommend them to others.

We are really happy with the work. Our pit was partially taken apart to install a gas line and convert our wood pit to a gas pit. The repair of the pavers we perfect. And the gas pit looks great. We can’t wait for cooler nights to use it.

We had a large area of our stone patio under outdoor dining table that sunk more than 2" in some places. Oscar and the rest of the crew did a phenomenal job in restoring the patio surface to it's original state and did a beautiful job in pressure washing the entire patio. The entire Joe and Tony crew were really accommodating in getting this done before the 4th of July. They were very professional, prompt, courteous and quick in getting this taken care of. Would definitely hire them again!

Some initial problems because of heavy spring rains, but Dan was always responsive and came out several times to inspect work that was done and sent crews repeatedly (even though he had already been paid) to remedy problems. Dan himself was courteous and friendly. I was impressed that he continued to respond (by phone, in person, and by sending crews) until we were satisfied.

I called Dan and explained the situation. A crew was at the house within a few days and the repairs were made quickly with no additional cost. The crew was friendly and professional as always

Unprofessional! Made an appointment to come out at 7:30am today and instead of showing up sent me a message letting me know that they have been in my house and cannot help me. I have been home for 3 months now and I haven’t seen anyone from this company show up. Simply horrible experience.

Everything went well. There were some delays due to city issuing a permit for the French Drain and so this became an issue in completing the work in the fall as the weather got to cold to install the sod. They did install the French Drain in the fall and that seems to be working based on the one good rain we have had so far. To be honest the B rating was for the French Drain as I am not convinced they did the best job and only time will tell. If I had to do another French Drain I would hire a company that does only French Drains and then hire a Joe and Tony to do the landscaping. They did keep us at the front of the line and returned early in the spring to complete the landscaping work and everything looks great. They were very good at making changes when asked and replied quickly to questions. The only item that may be an issue for some people was that they showed up to work without notice so if you want to know when they are coming you will need to keep in contact. We did get three quotes for the work and they had the middle price.

Once interminable rain stopped, project went quickly and efficiently. Dan M always responded to my calls. Price was reasonable compared to other estimates. Overall positive experience.

Dan was very upfront with me from our first meeting- the work wouldn't be able to be done for 5-6 weeks (others were up to 12 weeks), and it would take about a week to complete. He answered every question I had and always answered my emails promptly. The pricing was competitive with other quotes we received. We had 3 men working for about a week. Efrain (I believe he is the foreman) showed me everything they did and how they connected the concrete basin to our existing downspout via pvc piping. He also answered any questions I had- and was very patient if I didn't understand something. The entire crew was polite, kind and very hard workers. If I ever need more yard work done, I know exactly where I'm going!

Dan and his crew were complete professionals. They completed the work in the agreed upon time frame and ensured satisfaction. They were all very knowledgeable and helpful. I would definitely hire them again.

I hired Joe and Tony Landscaping over 10 years ago to design my front yard landscape. I told Dan (college educated in landscape design) that I wanted my yard to have 4 season interest. I also mentioned that I wanted low maintenance plantings. I was blown away with the finished project. I have trees that bloom and produce berries at different times in spring. Roses blooming in summer. Tall grasses that bloom and turn red in fall. He installed beautiful ground cover and hardscape. My neighbors were inspired to upgrade their own yards. One neighbor mentioned that the landscape design made my house look like a different house. When I hired Dan I met with several other landscape designers. Everyone gave me a similar price quote but Dans design was far and away the best bang for the buck. I contacted Dan in Feb/March of this year. I needed some updates to the yard. Some plantings were getting too large and a few bushes were damaged by ice damns that fell from the roof. He responded immediately. Made suggestions and quoted a price. I also got a second quote from another company. Again, both quotes were very similar. I hired Joe and Tony again for the job. I made my down payment and as soon as the plantings were delivered by the nurseries Dan called and gave me an installation date. I called him several times throughout this project to make a change here or there. He always answered the phone. Was always understanding if we wanted to change something. The men who did the work were polite, pleasant and always cleaned up at the end of the day. I’ve hired Joe and Tony Lanscaping twice and would hire them again. If you have a project give them a call and see what creative ideas they come up with.

Everything went very well. Dan has great suggestions on plants that would grow well in certain conditions. He and his workers were punctual, clean and very hard workers. This is the second time we have hired Dan. Will hire again if needed.

Called the business via Angie’s List. Spoke to someone over a week ago and no follow up. Disappointing. Would like to use a local company and they looked to be highly rated on Angie’s List. Even if they didn’t want the job, would have been professional to at least get a call back.

We had water drainage issues near one side of our house, with water seeping into our basement. The owner explained how the addition of a swale with a french drain would resolve the problem. Dan was communicative and responsive, and his crew performed the work efficiently. Very happy with the process and the results!

Absolutely loved Dan and his crew. From the estimate to the finished work, Tony & Joe's Landscaping was so professional and knowledgeable. The owner was readily available, quick to respond and gave excellent advise. His workers showed up, unpacked their truck and went right to work. I could not be more happy with the work they provided. Work was great. Dan helped us decide on how best to decrease water build up in certain areas. He was very responsive and helpful. The workers were friendly and cleaned up after each day's work.
