The customer service was very good. He came out multiple times to talk with us about where to place the lights as well as what type of lighting to use. We did have some problems with the wires disturbing plants and not buried deep enough. One major problem was my garage door opener would not work when the LED lights were on in the backyard. We realized there was some type of frequency disturbance and after much testing they replaced the LED blubs with regular bulbs which solved the problem.

We were delighted with the service and the outcome. The workers arrived on time everyday, if a change was made we were notified ahead of time. During excavation, boards were used to protect the lawn from the skid-loader. A few minor design requests were accomodated during constrution. Debris was removed same day. The forman kept the crew working throughout the project. The project was completed on schedule. The lawn was repaired where needed.

Very happy with their service this past year. Will definitely use in 2013.

We received a prompt response to our call for an estimate to expand the brick paving of our front driveway. The representative Dan came to our house on schedule, and then followed up with an estimate as promised. He seemed to be very knowledgeable about the project but the estimate of $2,800 proved to be much higher than we had anticipated, so we were unable to proceed with the work.

Everything went great. . We talked to two other companies and we hired them because our neighbor across the street uses them. and there price was in line with all the other quotes. Our neighbor has used them for many years when he was building spec homes. They came out did a great design and sat on it for a while. Once we decided what to do. they worked with the County and Township to get permits needed. Since we are in Un-incorporated Cook it took a while but they managed to jump thought the the hoops etc. Once they got started the job went smooth. They have mostly Spanish speaking workers and all where wonderful. the superviser stopped by all the time so there was no problems with communications. the job turned out great. check out the photos. I would recommend Joe and Tony Landscaping and if needed we will use them in the future.

We first contacted Joe and Tony because several friends had used them for similar projects and they had a great experience. We have been living in our home for 20 years and besides the fact that we decided to install a heated driveway we also wanted to update the exterior. It was originally UNILOCK but was one for the first bricks they ever made. It was old and worn. We called Dan, he came out and met with us, he listened to what we wanted to accomplish, which was, a new driveway, patio, fire pit, built in grill, walkways, landscape lighting, new landscaping, extend downspouts, and correct some drainage issues. He then developed a landscape plan with a VERY cool 3D video showing us exactly what it would look like once installed. He worked with us on several modifications till we had what we wanted. Then he met with us at a local Nursery to select trees, shrubs, brick color and types etc. He actually met us several times AND even brought out samples till we were certain of what we wanted. He never rushed us but always pointed us in the right direction AND kepted us moving forward. While we were going through this process, Joe and Tony was getting permits with City of Park Ridge. Which involved us getting a new Plat of Survey, which Dan lined up for us, he handled the whole thing. His professionalism made the entire design process seamless. Once we had all that lined up the project actually got started. We were worried as it was getting late in the season but Dan and his team worked together with our Heating company (remember heated driveway and walkways) and coordinated every step of the way. They showed up every day, worked clean and all his guys were polite and pleasure to work with. Dan always stopped by to check on them. As expected on a project of this scale issues came up and we discussed them and they quickly resolved them. Dan pointed out several things that made sense to address that we never would have thought of. Some at my cost and some at their cost, but always very fair. There were some extras but nothing that i didn't ask for or couldn't be foreseen. In the end we got more than we expected and are currently enjoying an incredible yard. You can't go wrong with these guys.

We sit outside on our patio quite a bit socializing and grilling out as a family and with friends. our patio was original builder quality and approx. 6 years old. The patio was just ok by design (no landscaping, lighting or fire pit though) but was also starting to sink in around the house due to settling. We decided to get some quotes to repitch, replace the current patio from 4 different outdoor landscapers, patio designers. Joe and Tony were first on the list to come out and give us a quote. The main guy (Dan-good guy) took a look at what we wanted to do but also saw a different picture of what we could have out there. He gave us several ideas but also came back to us with designs and 3-d animations of what it would look like. The other 3 quotes we received from the other competitors were close in price however none of these guys had a vision and basically were doing repairs/replacements of the same design. This was fine but just did'nt seem to get us too excited about our patio. The creative designs and 3-d animations really put Joe and Tony over the top and although the total project price was higher, we came away with an incredible patio that we absolutely love. We really had no idea that we could have a patio like the one they built for us. Also, their work crew was very professional, neat and polite around our family. Highly recommend these guys.

The retaining wall is fantastic. We have received numerous compliments on it. With the new landscaping and the retaining wall, the front yard looks great. They also installed a wall of Arborvitae in the back yard for privacy. It is getting better every year. The architect, Dan, is great to work with. Their installation crews were excellent. See the attached pictures. They tell the story better than words. .

It went very well. We are quite pleased with the quality of the work and will be using them again. Dan is responsive, helpful and reliable.

Luigi first came out and quoted our lawn several years ago. We have been a maintenance client for about 3 years now. They have never missed a week, cut edge weed, trim the shrubs, spring and fall cleanup. The guys are hard workers, courteous and have always responded to any special requests we have had. I like the fact that they are fully insured and show up with newer equipment.very professional. I would highly recommend them if you are looking for a good job at a fair price.

Outstanding customer service. Just does not get any better!

I think I have to use them for the rest of this year but after that I will not use them again. They go too fast and have done damage to my property. I do not like them at all. I got a bill for fertilization and they did not even discuss doing this with me ahead of time. They were referred by someone I knew. They don't have real pride in their work and they make a lot of mistakes. They cut my cable and tried to put it back with duct tape so I did not have phone, TV or internet service for 3 or 4 days. They go as fast as they can and don't take time to do any little extra things that might needed to be done. They just zip in and out and charge me for all kinds of extra things, which probably are needed, but were not really discussed on an individual basis with me so I never got the option to decide whether I wanted to do them. They just charged me $95 for a chemical for grubs but nobody ever discussed with me. I have dogs and if there are any chemicals put inside my back yard I would have needed to know about it.

Very professional. Great design and execution. Left evderything immaculate when they were done.

Dan and his team did a remarkable job. We collected 3 bids and while his was in the middle (so not the cheapest but not the most expensive), we chose him based on his great references, his design and his friendly nature. They truly did a great job, were very knowledged and came with a lot of experience. Dan was also flexible with the small changes that we had to accomodate our outdoor furniture and worked with our budget as well. He had great advice throughout the process and wasn't trying to get us to spend the most money - in fact he often talked us out of pricier items (such as not installing a stainless steel sink or fridge as he didn't think we would use them as often and instead told us to get a nice cooler). Great advice and we are enjoying the heck out of this patio!! Thank you to Joe and Tony's!

We have used Joe and Tony Landscaping for two projects. Our first experience was so good that we immediately contacted them for our second project. The first project was very large and made up most of the referenced cost. It included removing 20 foot tall shrubs along a 90 foot run, regrading the entire area, replanting with a variety of trees and plants and laying sod. They came out for an estimate the day after I contacted them and had the entire project completed within a week from when we first contacted them. We explained what we had in mind and Joe and Tony Landscaping designed a layout. Within a few hours we had an estimate as well as a video of what the project would look like when it was complete. The video was great because we were able to make a few changes to the layout before the digging began. The second project involved removing more shrubs and replanting new trees and plants. They came out for an estimate the day after I called them, which was a Thursday, and completed the project the following Monday. Once again, they helped with the design. They are very professional and knowledgable and I highly recommend them.

They have done a really good job for us. They are very responsive, and we have always been happy with them. They are very responsible as well, and I would recommend them.

We are on a small lot. The work was a bit tricky to execute b/c they couldn't use a bobcat, and needed to be done by hand. Dan and his crew did a great job. Did their best to reuse all materials I had on the lot. Started early. Corrected things which I wasn't happy with. Our yard came out nicely.

We found them because they were very highly rated. I thought that they did an excellent job. They are very responsive. They are a family business, and I would highly recommend them. My lawn has never looked better. The price is fair as well. The guy who came was right on time. The quality of their work was wonderful, and we were very satisfied with the work.

A fantastic experience - I will definitely use Joe and Tony for any future projects! Dan came to the house and spent a fair amount of time understanding the project up front. I had a plan from a landscape architect which he followed, but also made helpful suggestions about what types of plants would do well in our climate. Dan sent the estimate exactly when he said he would and it was easy to read & compare to other landscapers. It was perfectly clear what was/wasn't included. The prices are very competitive. After hired, the team showed up exactly when they said they would on both the hardscape and landscape. The plants are healthy and of good quality. The bluestone is top notch quality and laid beautifully. I don't mean to sound boring in this review, but seriously these guys are EASY to deal with. They are pro's in every sense of the word. No tricks, no headaches, no hassles. Everything was professional, excellent quality and exactly what you want from professional landscapers.

Joe and Tony's Landscaping was recommended to us by Angies List after another service provider on the List failed to deliver the services as promised. Joe and Tony's was a perfect professional experience from start to finish: I was immediately called back to set up a convenient date for the estimate, the estimate was emailed to me within a very short period of time, the date for work was set up soon after the proposal was signed, and the workmen arrived on time and did an amazing job each day they were here. The many repairs on the bricks were perfect and the challenging task of painstakingly power washing a large terrace with both brick and stone that had not been cleaned in many years was done in such a way that it looks like a brand new terrace. They made great recommendations for maintaining the look---they clearly know what they are doing. It was a pleasure to work with this company and I will definitely use them again.

They came out quickly, and gave us a reasonable estimate. I'm thinking of using them because their estimate was in the ball park.

They are very reasonable and do a great job. They rake all the beds and blow everything away. It looks really nice when they leave.

We needed to have two retaining walls built to hold up high walls of dirt. This company provided us with a few ideas on what would look and function best and also priced out these options. The price was right and we felt confident that the work would be done well. We therefore hired this company. From our initial contact and on through to the completion of the job, our questions were quickly answered. As too the employees, they were professional and hard working. They arrived early and completed the job quickly. They took great care to ensure that our lawn was not harmed when transporting the heavy materials from one location of the yard to the area where the work was being done. That was very impressive. The clean up was exceptional. I would refer them to friends and family and would definitely hire them again. We are very happy with the job.

Their quote was high and they were not accomodating to what we needed done. They were courteous, professional, and showed up on time; however, they were too focused on their agenda instead of listening to us and fixing our problems. We walked away not really happy about spending our time with them.

I personally thought the price was high, however, in checking with friends who have the same work done, they said it was within average range. Reponse to my inquiry was extremely quick. I think it was the next day. Work was done within a few days. The work was good, though not superb. However, since I did not contact the company afterwards , any issues I had and not addressed are my problem. I would hire them again with more stipulations as to my preferences.
