This is a great company. I have used them for several projects. All were completed to my total satisfaction. Equally important, they are great with any warranty work. Several years ago, they planted 16 arborvitae in my back yard. Two of them didn't make it. They promptly planted two new bushes. They installed a retaining wall in April, 2010. They did excellent work. I am extremely satisfied. However, several cracks began to form a couple of years ago. Each year the cracks continued to expand. They retaining wall is covered by a 5 year warranty. I sent them an email on a Saturday morning asking if the repair would be covered by the warranty. In less that two minutes, I received a reply that simply stated that "it would be repaired ASAP". In less than a week, all repairs were completed. I strongly recommend this company.

This wasn't an easy project to start with - existing patio, walkway, stoops were in horrible shape barely holding together, plus we wanted to extend patio and add gas fire pit. Dan quickly identified the underlying issues with existing installation and proposed very specific and reasonable solution to fix them. Planning the project was very straightforward - Dan produced great visual materials of the proposed design and it was just a matter of ironing out the details. Work started on time and took approximately as long as it was originally estimated. During construction phase we made some adjustments but Dan and his crew were able to accommodate without any issues. He visited the site on daily basis and provided ongoing status updates to us. One mistake that his crew made he fixed at his cost without any arguments. We've done many improvement projects with our properties and Dan's company is by far the best provider of landscaping services we've ever worked with.

They did an awesome job. The stoop required more work than anticipated. They did the extra work without charging us more than originally quoted. The brick work is beautiful. The island, including the plants, grass and rocks they chose is a focal point of our yard. We've had numerous neighbors and random people stop by and complement how nice the front of our house looks. We couldn't be more pleased with the work and will ask them to come back for a quote when we are ready to do our back yard! Great, great job!!!

They did a fantastic job on Unilock paving for a walkway, patio and raised terrace. The circle patio is a work of art; these fellows are real craftsman who know what they're doing and take pride in their work. All material and equipment were kept tightly within my property boundaries (I live in a neighborhood where that matters!). The only problem concerned the quote for the paving which did not include the custom cutting needed for the circle patio (I believe that this was an honest misunderstanding hence I paid the additional cost and feel that I got my money's worth; plus I believe that they gave me a price break on some planting). I have so much confidence in Joe & Tony that I have hired them to do some overseeding on our tired-out lawn (I do have a lawn service that hasn't been able to get any good results, so we'll see what Joe & Tony can do). Also excellent customer service and followup (they sent a fellow over the day after work was completed to water the sod bordering the paving).

This was an extensive project. Two difficult elements were getting the drainage system for the lot corrected and disconnecting a shared driveway from the neighbor's driveway and installing a new driveway on the other side of the home. We had architect and engineering plans, but there were numerous questions and changes that came up as we proceeded. Dan's project planning and supervision was superb. He introduced numerous improvements and options to the original plans and was always looking for the "best way" to do what we wanted to do. He was flexible and innovative in making changes as the project proceeded. This was not an inexpensive project, but we always had a good idea of the cost and Dan was clear about the impact of changes in the project. All of the foremen and crew that worked on the job were excellent--good coordination and hardworking. The quality of work was very high, and there were numerous times when the foremen raised questions about modifying the plans to "do it better." They were a pleasure to work with.

After 5 estimates we decided to go with Joe and Tony's landscaping to build a large brick patio and redo our landscaping. The price was similar to the other estimates but I liked the fact that Dan was very knowledgeable and easy to work with. He sent us 3D videos of his design and changed the design as we requested. The patio was about 1200 sq feet with 2 tiers, seating walls, pillars, fire pit, built in grill with counter top and lighting. Dan matched the seat wall bricks to the house which I liked and no other company even offered. The patio looks great and we are using it quite often this summer. They did the landscaping in front and back of house as well which turned out beautiful. It was a very large job and took about 2 months. We are extremely pleased with how everything turned out. Our house looks great with the patio and the awesome landscaping!

Joe and Tony has been maintianing our property for about 4 years. We turn to them for everything. weekly mowing, triming, lighting mulching, annual flowers etc. They are alway on time and professional. They even do brick paver repair and maintenance. never had a problem

They sent me back an e mail on May 7 with what looked like a form letter confirming my request. I never heard back from them. Very disappointing.

This was just a quote for work here as promised and reasonable price

They responded quickly to my husband's call. They have been working well and doing a good job.

Joe & Tony's does a great job. The work is carefully described & estimated - no surprises either in the end result on in the bill. The crews are friendly & professional. There is obviously pride in ownership with this family company and they care about making sure things are done right. I will continue to work with them for our future landscaping projects.

My lawn maintenance guy bailed on me so I have to find a fall cleaning service urgently - called Joe & Tony and get estimated the same day, service provided the next day, job well done but not cheap.

I contacted the company thru email and Luigi called me within a few hours. He came by the next morning to go over the work I wanted done & gave me a price on the spot. The work was completed in two stages: first the clean up of the flower beds, power raking and edging, bush trimming, and digging out the dead evergreens. The second stage included the planting of new evergreens and new rose bushes, applying mulch and removing some excess debris I had in the yard. The crew was excellent. They worked quickly and cleaned up everything. I must say that Luigi was great. He returned my calls quickly and answered all my questions. He also gave good suggestions regarding the new evergreens & roses and how best to lay them out. I called Luigi the day after the new rose bushes were planted requesting one more. It was planted the next morning. Thanks Luigi! I highly recommend this business and would use them again.

Not only were Joe and Tony Landscaping LLC responsive to my initial request for a lawn service estimate (they had one in my mailbox within two days!), their pricing was very reasonable. Since I signed up for lawn service, our lawn and garden beds are looking better than they have in years (with another company). As a result, I asked them to do additional work, thinning out hostas (we had enough to supply the state) and creating a level pavered area beside our garage to roll trash cans in and out. That work was completed very quickly, priced very reasonably and looks great. We are happy to have Joe and Tony Landscaping as our lawn service and go-to landscaping contractors for any need.

We decided we wanted to have a patio installed and took multiple estimates. We ended up going with Joe and Tony Landscaping due to the professioanlism of the visit, the price point, and the fact that Dan listened to what my wife and I wanted (which i can't say about the other estiamates all of which came from Angies List). I was very grateful that Dan kept me up to date with the progress and start time, since it was coming out of winter and didn't know when the ground would be ready to work. He also was very transparent with me in his dealings with the Village and sent me copies of his communications with them. In the end the patio has turned out great.

We called Joe and Tony to come out and give a quote. They quickly came out quoted us for a Spring Clean up and weekly service. they are timely and allways to do a nice job. They also installed a brick patio for a couple years ago with a firepit which we have enjoyed very much. This spring we had a gas leak, (due to one of the spikes hitting the gas line they installed) Dan send one of the guys out a the next day and had it repaired at no cost.

I call the office, Luigi called me back after a couple hours. He came out the next day. walked through the yard with me. He recommended a couple of things. For instance, he notice a couple dead shrubs, so we replaced them and added mulch to our front beds. His price was about eve with one other quote and since we have used Joe and Tony a few years ago to do install a Patio i knew they would do a good job. They came out two day later and crew did very nice job. Clean out all beds, edged the beds thatched, fertilized and left. GREAT JOB

Joe and Tony originally designed and installed our landscaping 18 years ago when we moved in to our new house. They have been our full service landscaper since then. The maintenance crew is always on time, i can't remember a week they ever missed us. Trucks and equipment are always clean and professional looking. If we have want any extra things done Dan or Luigi come out and meet with us whether it is planting a couple shrubs or a new patio. Last year we expanded our deck with a blue stone patio and fire pit and landscape lighting. the construction crew did a great job. Dan's designs are fresh and met our needs. He came out several times to lay it out and bring us samples. He then met us a stone dealer to look at more options. He made the process simple.

I've used Joe and Tony for several years now. The work they've done and continue to do is always outstanding! We have a large circular driveway and this past October, I hired them to re-do the driveway and at the same time, do a complete makeover of the center island in front of the driveway. Dan was great to work with and had some terrific ideas. He recommended some changes to the existing driveway which gave us more space for the cars as well as giving the house great curb appeal. The center island came out great, but i wasn't surprised because Dan had done our entire backyard a few years ago. They put in a new brick paver patio and all new landscaping and our yard is gorgeous. It feels like we're on vacation when we're out in our yard. As far as the weekly lawn service, Joe and Tony is top notch. They always show up, take care of what they are supposed to, and even do additional maintenance if we ask. I will continue to use them and would highly recommend them! Nothing like working with honest, professional people, and it doesn't get any better than them!

Joe and Tony and been maintianing our yard for 15 years. They mow weekly , do a spring and fall clean up. fertilize our lawn and shrubs, even clean our gutters. Luigi and his crew has been doing such a great job i don't even think about it. They always show up rain or shine, never have problems. My husband and work a lot and we have NO time to spend with problem contractors, so its nice to just not worry about the yard. Two summer ago we moved to our new house in Highland Park, so of course we call Luigi again, he came out, gave me quick quote and they do just as good a job as they did in our old house. We also had Dan come out and renovate our landscaping and patio. Total tear out. He did this great video design, at NO COST and we now have a great yard. You have see the photo to apprieate what they did. They pulled an out deck Installed all stone retaining wall fire pit with seatwalls, new trees and shrubs (the photos don't show the landscaping well in winter) but it is incredible how they match the house stone mix. Great group of guys to work him. If your looking for quality and at reasonable price you have to use Joe and Tony. By the way, they are an old family business and original owners, Joe and Tony no longer work they retired but the sons kept the name.

Joe and Tony has been mowing and fertilizing our yard for a couple years now and since they have always done a reliable job, it only seemed natural to call them when we needed a new patio.We called the office, Dan quickly came out and met with my wife and I. He listened to what we wanted and promptly emailed us a quote with a 3D rendering addressing all our needs. For instance, we had a messed up area under a large cottonwood that they excavated out and added gravel with a stone path leading to our new patio and fire pit. They also corrected a drainage issue by connecting our down spouts underground to the back corner of the yard. We were so pleased with the back yard we had them come back and re-design the front entrance, with a new walkway, new plantings, transplanting, some tree pruning service and new mulch. It came out looking great. The guys were in and out with no hassles just very professional and very easy to work with. In fact i have already referred them to some of my neighbors.

I called to get a quote on multiple large projects. Luigi called me back the next day. He went through the standard questions about the project. He then asked if I was going to make a decision immediately because he wanted to assured the trip would be worth his time to come out from what I believe he said was Dundee. I told him that I was prepared to make a decision by the end of the week after I received quotes from other landscapers who I already had scheduled. He seemed a little turned off by this, but said he would come out Saturday morning. Saturday came and went; he never showed up and never called. Today I had Poul?s Landscaping out to do a quote. Dan called me 1:00 to let me know he would be 5 minutes late for our appointment. Dave from Noland?s Landscaping also called me this morning to confirm our 2:00 appointment for Thursday. It?s not that difficult to be professional Joe & Tony!
