Very well. At my request, technicians Victor and Eric came to replace and reroute corroding outdoor service lines to make them less conpicuous and safer--a project that was scheduled within a week of my inquiry. They arrived early, offered clear explanations and confirmation of what I requested before executing the work neatly, tidily, and in 3/4 of the estimated 4-our time. Result: well-functioning air conditioner and significant aesthetic improvement to the side of the house. American Weathermakers have been servicing my 2 HVAC systems reliably and efficiently for over a decade, ever since they acquired our previous HVAC company (Boslough Heating and Cooling). Their knowledgeable technicians and accommodating schedulers include some of the people from Boslough who have known our property since the 1990s and offered multiple solutions to the problems in this house. I also subscribe to their maintenance plan for tuneups in the fall and spring--not cheap, but this has saved us from several unpleasant surprises and untimely breakdowns.

Technician cleaned components and tested. Gave a full verbal report on what he did and the condition of the system.

My air conditioning went out on May 26 Memorial Day weekend and called American Weathermakers after remembering their commercials on WBBM and they said they could not come out because of the holiday and call back Tuesday! False advertising!

They always do a good job, explain things, provide helpful advice, and clean up.

We have used American Weathermakers since early/mid 2000 and trust them to do a thorough and honest job. Their staff is always on time and professional. They are competitive in their pricing and have not told us to purchase parts or services that we do not need. We will continue to use them in the years to come.

I was told the first furnace needed immediate replacement because it was giving off dangerous fumes ("aldehydes"). I was told the second furnace had been shut off from a safety switch and simply needed to be restarted. Even though I did not complain abut it, I was also told my hot water heater needed immediate replacement because it was giving off the same dangerous fumes. After he shut off the gas to my water heater, the repairman quoted me $4500.00 to replace the first furnace with a RUUD (a cheaper furnace made by Rheem) and $2300.00 for a new water heater. He said that Illinois law required that he completely shut down both appliances and place a red warning label on them warning against restarting them thus leaving me without heat on one floor and hot water. While he went out to his truck, I checked and verified there was no such Illinois law and that what he said about aldehydes was false. When he returned, I told him there were no aldehydes, there was no such law and he wasn't putting red signs on my appliances. He became defensive and stated that his boss told him to say there was such a law. I declined the repair and paid $180.00 estimates for the two furnaces. I got a second opinion the next day and was told there were no dangerous fumes from either appliance, that this was just a ploy to pressure me to let WeatherMakers do the repair immediately and that the water heater was fine. The second opinion repairman also said that the heat exchanger on the first furnace was bad and that he could either replace the exchanger or install a new Rheem (not a RUUD) for $2750.00 complete. So, I bought the new Rheem, had him restart my water heater and everything is working fine almost three month later. So I saved about $4000.00 by not using WeatherMakers.

Weathermakers has good staff and have always been reasonable in approach to solving issues, not recommending just the most expensive solutions. Our furnaces and air conditioners have survived 20 years with only a few major repairs and no unit replacements of 3 zoned units.

Very dishonest! The tech told me that both my units needed to be replaced because of cracks. The information was not true, we got 2 second opinions. There were no cracks and they wanted to charge us $8,000. When I called the manager and told him that they made a mistake he was so incredibly rude on the phone

Fine, especially furnace replacement during winter - we were only without heat for a day.

They replaced 3 baseboard heaters for me and clean and restart the furnace, looks like it wasn't running for a while. Now works fine, for an old furnace thanks to them.

They were very customer oriented. The sales person explained the differences between a regular furnace and a high efficiency furnace. Another company said they could not install a high efficiency furnace because of the location within the house but American Weathermakers had no problem at all. The job was completed on time. The serviceman was thorough, polite and kept the house clean as he worked. I highly recommend American Weathermakers!

They had to special order the part so we had to wait a week, but I thought they did a good job of installing it.

Our furnace broke down on Friday night. I called and left a message they call back on Saturday morning, won't able to get to us to 11 a.m. service man showed up at 12:15. He did a diagnostic check and told me I need a new thermostat. Replaced with a regular programmable thermostat ( not wifi smart thermostat )was done in about 45 minutes. He told me there was a. I think he said $80 Saturday service charge. I told him the girl did not mention the service charge over the phone. So he waived the Saturday service charge.

The technician was at my house less than an hour after my late evening call to American Weathermakers. He replaced the pump, refilled and bled down my heating system, and was done within about two hours of arrival. He was professional and courteous. The charges were quite reasonable.

Our air conditioner needed to be replaced. We received an estimate for a new unit that included installation and start-up costs. The sales people helped us choose a unit that met our needs and our budget, helping us weigh pros and cons of several options. Once decided, installation was convenient and professionally accomplished. We use American Weathermakers for all our heating and cooling needs and have never had any complaints.

I have used American Weathermakers for years. They use to be Boslough. They have always been professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. They get the work done and suggest potential maintenance items. I am the only unit in my 4 unit building that still has their original water heater (12+ year old). I believe the annual maintenance has extended the life of these appliances.

I live in an old building and they were able to install central air, a blessing. When I had a problem with an overflow they came out quickly and fixed it. One of the drainage hoses clogged in the middle of the night. They were out first thing in the morning. No extra fee either. I have been very pleased with their service all these years.

The quality of workmanship and responsiveness to requests has been very good. I have been very satisfied with the services they provide.

After doing thorough investigation and checking every last detail, the company figured out it was my wireless aftermarket thermostat that wasn't working properly with the unit. They worked until it was done right. The phone staff, and scheduling guru Marsha, were all helpful and punctual. Rob Frechette, who called me personally, made sure that the work was done properly and to my satisfaction. Not only will I use them again, I'll only use them from now on.

The are easy to schedule, prompt and I never have had to call them back during the winter or summer. They anticipate any issues and everything has worked care free.
