For regular maintenance they are fine but if you need a new furnace, they will sell you a cheap furnace at an inflated price. I knew we needed a new furnace. They came up to service our old one. They said, you need a new furnace which I agreed we did, they weren't trying to scam me there. But what they offered was a cheap brand at inflated prices. I went with someone else. I found a better brand with installation for less money, and an air conditioner. So, they were about twice as high as the other bids I got. Then, they were pushy when I said I would let them know. I was getting emails and phone calls offering financing. I thought they were a little pushy to sell the unit. They had done maintenance for our unit for years and I thought that they were honest and I actually knew some of the guys that work with them. So, when it is a small maintenance issue I don't think they try to say you need this and you don't need it. I just think the sales part of it, they weren't going to give me a quality unit for what they were going to charge.

I had contracted with them to come and do cleaning and maintenance once a year on my stuff. It didn't cost me anything because I had a contract with them to come out and do that annually. They had to come back to do something else a couple of times.

It was fine; they did a nice job.

Peter came out 2 weeks ago and discovered a cracked heating element in my furnace. Because I have a home warranty, I had to contact their service company for evaluation and repair. When the other service company came to evaluate the problem, they could not find any cracks. I contacted Weathermakers and the manager, Bart, came over immediately. On the way over he contacted Peter to find out where the crack was located. Within 30 minutes of my call Bart arrived and found the crack to show the other service provider. They determined that I needed a new furnace because it could be potentially leaking carbon monoxide. I am so grateful that Weathermakers discovered the initial problem and that the manager was so prompt in responding to my call. I would highly recommend their services and appreciate such amazing customer service! Thank you!

Two person crew arrived on time, were very courteous and professional. Bosses/managers came in early and returned regularly to supervise and interface with me. Spent first day working continuously until ~6pm, returned to finish on time next day and completed the jobs by the late afternoon. Hate to admit that I am looking forward to cold weather - but only to see how well the new system works!

I will not use them again. They cleaned the AC a year ago but it turned out there was a problem. So they came back to fix the problem. Initially they came out to clean the furnace. Then they told me that there is one solution that will be expensive. Then a guy came out for the estimate and he gave me a different explanation. If I did everything that they told me, that will be $3000. They seem that they were just looking ways to earn money. I ended up just cleaning the air ducts and living with the heat. It was two different house calls, so I paid them twice even though it was diagnostic. There was really no problem with the furnace, the problem is with the duct work of the townhouse which is really expensive to fix. They told me that I should get the deluxe AC for my upper level or my bedroom and it will much cheaper to get a window unit. I just felt that what they told was a not a very good advice. They really do that much work for what I paid for a routine check. And it was actually an air conditioning problem and not a furnace problem. I don’t think I can trust. I will not recommend them.

The technician was prompt and professional and did the maintenance quickly. This is always the case with this company.

I called American Weathermakers after I received a quote from the company that had serviced my home for a long time before I bought it. Their quote included the top of the line A/C unit (which my split system couldn't even support), and a humidifier that would have been less efficient. American Weathermakers spent a lot of time with me to explain what they were proposing and why, the alternatives and options, and cost/benefit for different scenarios. In the end, their quote was 66% less than the previous company and they used top of the line equipment. The guys that showed up were on time, respectful and efficient. Very, very pleased with them. UPDATE: Three days after the work was done, the air conditioner stopped working. When they came out to fix it - after complaining how busy they were since it was hot out, and they had customers they had to service before they could address our work - they couldn't figure out the problem, told me my Nest thermostat's were the problem (even though we never had a problem with them before), then told me the panel on the furnace was bad, and then finally admitted that they could figure it out and would have to come back. He followed that by saying, "If I can't figure it out, nobody can,because I am telling you there's nobody better than me." Haven't heard from them again, and now have a $3000 AC sitting there not working. Not standing behind their work. We now need to find someone to fix their work. Caution to the buyer.

He also examined the furnace and made sound recommendations for the future. It was evident, although not overtly stated, that the previous company did not take care of the furnace as needed.

It was fine. They were punctual and cleaned up. One technician came out. I've been using them for 15 years.

Perfect. We've used them for years. A place I worked years ago used Weathermakers for the store's heating and cooling, so they were out whenever we had issues. I was impressed with them then, so we started using them for our home. We are comfort club members, so we pay a low monthly fee and get free tune up of our AC, Furnace and Humidifier each year (excluding parts like humidifier filter). Also, when you belong to the comfort club, you never pay for service calls if you need a repair, even on weekends. The technicians are the most impressive thing about the company, all friendly, experienced and knowledgeable.

I knew I had a leaky pipe by virtue of looking a it. It they wont address this they should not have come nor should they have charged me

Air conditioner and condenser tune-up is standard work, but we have had American Weathermakers come to us and service our air conditioning and heating for many years. Their work has been very through and professional. They installed a new air conditioning system several years ago (the old one was failing) at the best bid and the process was all we had hoped it would be. We are 'comfort club members' of American Weathermakers which means we receive priority service at 15% discount on any parts installed. We found this to be a very good arrangement and the only thing we do earn this is sign up each year to have our A/C and heating service which its a good idea to have done every year. The technicians are dependable and knowledgeable and you get great communication/customer service from their office.

Service is always excellent, polite. helpful technicians.

American Weathermakers is always professional and thorough. I use them for my furnace.

The duct cleaning system they used was touted as the best in the industry using a powerful negative pressure system to draw out the dust, dirt, etc. It worked pretty well but not as well as systems that actually pull a sweep through the system. We still get lots of dust in the house through the vents. Dealing with American Weathermakers is generally pleasant and I find them knowledgeable and professional....I've used them for years. They are not cheap. Their comfort club is a good bit of insurance especially if you have an older system...but again, not cheap.

They check in with a courtesy call reminder in the spring and fall to set up an appointment, which is helpful. The staff on the phone, and the people who come to my home to do the maintenance work are always polite and professional. They put booties on when entering the house, so they do not bring any dirt in. They have always arrived within the appointment window.

I feel that they did a good job because: 1.) They arrived on time as scheduled 2.) They respected the white carpet in my house (which they had to walk through to get to the dryer area) by wearing coverlet over their shoes. 3.) They were successful in cleaning the dryer vent. (I checked that it was unclogged by running some wet towels through it and making sure I could see the steam coming out from the outside.) 4.) My dryer vent was more difficult than most because I live in a townhouse and the vent vents out from the roof of the 2nd story. Bottom line: I was completely satisfied with their service.

We have been a customer of American Weathermakers for many years. They kept our old heater/air conditioner unit together for a very long time until we absolutely needed to replace it. American Weathermakers replaced the unit with a very efficient one that has saved us a lot of money. We are part of their program where we get the unit serviced twice each year which guarantees that if something goes wrong, they will take care of it ASAP. Their service is reliable, on time, and worth every cent.

When we moved into our condo in 2003, we had the heating/air conditioning unit replaced with one that allowed filtering of the air flow and humidifying. We hired American Weathermakers to do it, and they did a good job. Since then they have provided service and have done that well. The heating system built into our condo has some problems. The unit provided by American Weathermakers and their yearly service deal with some of them. I believe as a result we have fewer problems than our neighbors in the building who use the original system. They are a bit expensive, but so far, at least, I have thought them worth the price.

They have been wonderful. Show up on time, are neat and explain everything.
