Excellent. John came to give me estimate and was right on time and professional. Then two other men came to install. They did all the work from the outside since it involved five new first floor kitchen windows. They cleaned up extremely well and were fast. They came back the next day when I called about one section they had forgotten to caulk.

John came to my home to give an estimate and showed examples of the windows. John was very nice and didn't pressure. I was given a 6-8 week time frame from when the order was placed, to when the windows would be installed. The install was right on schedule and all of the windows were installed in one day. Brian and Bruce came to do the install. They did a great job and made sure they cleaned up. I was very pleased with everyone that talked to and the work that was done.

They called ahead to tell me that the new windows were ready and set a date for installation. Two men arrived on time and installed my new windows. There were no problems, they picked up after themselves and did a great job.

Great salesperson, John. Super nice guy and seems like a very high quality product. The price was right on target. Would have chosen to go with Scientific, but a similarly rated Angie's list company offered a slightly more competitive price for a window with a brand name and similar energy efficiency specs. Seems like a very honest company and I would not hesitate to call them in the future for work.

I called twice the girl who answer the phone said someone would call me back. But no one did. I went into the store and asked to see someone about a storm door. Was told the salesman was out, someone from the factory floor came out and talked to me. He showed me some doors on the shipping dock and when pressed said he didn't know anything about storms doors he supervised the making of windows. He said that he would have the salesman call me. No one did.

Fast, friendly, easy. Was hard to find a window place that would repair windows with double pane, low-e glass. One of three I got out of the phone book, looked them up on Angie's. Of the three, Scientific has a good rating. They also have parking and will carry the windows for you.

This is the fourth time that I have used Scientific Windows for replacement storms. They consistently perform well. The product is a little more expensive than one from a Big Box store, but it is heavier and changing the screens and storms is easier. I had a problem with one of the windows and they came and adjusted it.

The windows and installation were fine. We feel the price was high, but it is more costly to do a few windows than many at once. The completion of the job was delayed a few weeks do to them being busy, but this did not affect our project too much. We have some basement windows still to replace and will use them again for those.

Overall, I was relatively pleased with Scientific Windows. John, our salesman, was great, and the installers did their work efficiently. I had two areas of concern. First, they made one of the basement windows wrong, but John said that they'd replace it if we'd like. Second, we aren't loving the aesthetics of the installation since the windows are only caulked in without any trim. John said that this is typical for most basement hopper windows in older homes. In the end, we're pleased.

Independent company that was very easy to work with. We looked at several companies to do the work and got a ''hard sell'' from them. Scientific did not. I was unable to be at the appointment to get the estimate. Other companies refused to set up the appointment unless I was present. Scientific did not. They met with my wife and left enough information for me to take part in the decision. The installers were on time (30 minutes early). They completed the job in one day and did fine work. We are pleased with the quality of the windows and the service that we received.

BUSINESS LIKE, ON TIME WITH ESTIMATOR, MEASURING AND INSTALLATION. THIS COMPANY CUSTOM MAKES THEIR WINDOWS SO THEY ARE ABLE TO GIVE YOU AN ACCURATE LEAD TIME ESTIMATE. HAPPY WITH FINAL PRODUCT.

THE WORK CREW WAS ONLY TWO MEN, WHICH MEANT THEY HAD TO DO THE JOB IN MULTIPLE TRIPS. BUT THIS WAS NOT A PROBLEM AT ALL. THEY DID GOOD QUALITY WORK AND CLEANED UP THOROUGHLY AT THE END OF EACH DAY. THE WINDOWS THEMSELVES ARE ALSO GOOD QUALITY. I HAVE USED ANOTHER WINDOW REPLACEMENT COMPANY BEFORE AND I LIKE SCIENTIFIC WINDOWS MUCH BETTER. THE SALESMAN ADVISED ME ON WINDOWS THAT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AS WELL AS ONES WHICH DID NOT NEED TO BE REPLACED IN MY HOUSE. LEFT TO MY OWN JUDGMENT, I WOULD HAVE DONE MORE WORK THAN WAS REALLY NEEDED.

WE HAD MAJOR PROBLEMS WITH THE INITIAL INSTALL. THE GUY THEY SENT OUT DID A POOR JOB TO SAY THE LEAST. THEY HAVE SINCE RELEASED HIM. BECAUSE OF THIS GUY SCIENTIFIC HAD TO COME BACK FOUR TIMES TO CORRECT WHAT WAS & WASN'T DONE. HAVING SAID THAT I HAVE TO GIVE IT TO THE FOLKS AT SCIENTIFIC. THEY BENT OVER BACKWARDS TO MAKE SURE EVERYTHING DONE TO OUR SPECIFICATIONS. THE CREWS THEY SENT OUT AFTERWARDS WERE EXTREMELY PROFESSIONAL. THEY STAND BY THEIR PRODUCT & THEIR SERVICE MORE THAN MOST COMPANIES. JOHN, BENJAMIN, & EMIL ARE GREAT GUYS TO WORK WITH.

RECEIVED AN ESTIMATE FOR HAVING 20 MOSTLY DOUBLE-HUNG VINYL WINDOWS REPLACED IN OUR HOME BUT DID NOT HAVE THEM DO THE WORK. WE WERE THRILLED WITH THE SALES EXPERIENCE - BY FAR THE BEST OF ANY WE HAD COME TO THE HOUSE (JON). EXTREMELY EDUCATIONAL AND EFFICIENT. THE PRODUCT APPEARS TO BE HIGH QUALITY AND WAS NICE LOOKING, TOO. THEY ALSO OFFERED THE BEST PRICE. WE ULTIMATELY CHOSE ANOTHER COMPANY FOR A SLIGHTLY BETTER WARRANTY, HOWEVER WOULD HAVE BEEN HAPPY CHOOSING SCIENTIFIC. TWO ODD THINGS: THEY PROMOTED THEIR PRODUCT AS NFRC CERTIFIED ON THE WEB, BUT WEREN'T LISTED ON THE NFRC DATABASE BECAUSE THEY HADN'T PAID DUES SINCE 2002 (PRODUCT LAST SUBMITTED IN 1998). THEY WERE HONEST ABOUT THAT AND SAID THE PRODUCT IS THE SAME AND THEY HADN'T REALIZED HOW LONG IT HAD BEEN. ALSO THE WARRANTY STATED ON THEIR CONTRACT WAS SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT THAN THAT STATED IN PERSON, BUT THEY OFFERED TO AMEND IT FOR US AS NEEDED. OVERALL EXTREMELY HELPFUL AND COOPERATIVE.

BEGINNING WITH JONATHAN KOLOMS, WE HAD EXCELLENT SERVICE AND A GREAT PRICE. TWO WORKMEN SPENT TWO DAYS IN OUR HOME AND THEY WORKED EFFICIENTLY AND VERY NEATLY. BECAUSE OF THE SEVERE KNOCKING DONE TO REMOVE THE OLD WINDOWS, ONE OF THE WALL EDGES SUSTAINED SOME CRACKING AND LOSS OF PLASTER. THE WINDOWS LOOK GREAT AND I SWEAR I CAN TELL THE DIFFERENCE IN THE ROOM TEMPERATURE. LESS DRAFT AND BETTER HEAT RETENTION. I HAVE ALREADY RECOMMENDED SCIENTIFIC TO SEVERAL NEIGHBORS WHO STOPPED TO ASK WHO WAS DOING THE WORK.

UNSATISFACTORY. WE WERE QUOTED A FEW DAYS TO HAVE THE JOB COMPLETED AND IT TOOK THREE WEEKS. THE WORKMAN ON THE JOB WOULD SOMETIMES NOT COME, HE INSTALLED SCREENS WITH HOLES IN THEM, LEFT MARKER WRITING ON WINDOWS, LEFT GOBS OF CAULK ALL OVER AND DID A CHEAP AND TERRIBLE JOB ON THE INTERIOR SILLS SURROUNDING THE DOUBLE-HUNG WINDOWS. WE HAVE HAD OTHER WORKMEN COME TO INSPECT THE QUALITY OF THE WORK, AND THEY SAY IT IS UNSATISFACTORY. UPON COMPLAINING TO THE SALES REP WHO SOLD US THE WINDOWS, HE WOULD ONLY COMP US $300. ASIDE FROM THIS, THE ACTUAL QUALITY OF THE WINDOWS THEMSELVES IS FINE. IT'S THE JOB THAT WAS POOR.

OUR EXPERIENCE WITH JOHN WAS GREAT. HE WAS PROMPT, POLITE AND DIDN'T TRY TO SELL US SOMETHING WE DIDN'T NEED. SHOULD WE EVER NEED TO REPLACE WINDOWS IN THE FUTURE, I WILL DEFINITELY CALL THIS COMPANY FOR AN ESTIMATE.

ALL ASPECTS WENT VERY SMOOTHLY FROM IN HOME SALES CALL THROUGH INSTALLATION.

OUR EXPERIENCE WITH SCIENTIFIC WINDOW WAS EXCELLENT. WE GOT ABOUT 4 OTHER ESTIMATES, AND THEIRS WAS CHEAPER BY ALMOST $1000 OR MORE. THE QUALITY OF THE WINDOWS IS EXCELLENT, AND THE WORK WAS COMPLETED AS SCHEDULED. MY ONLY COMPLAINT IS THAT I HAD REQUESTED A LESS SMELLY CAULK TO BE USED, AND THE WORKMEN WERE NOT INFORMED OF THIS. THEY STARTED USING THE SMELLIER CAULK AND WHEN I REALIZED IT (BECAUSE OF THE STRONG SMELL), THEY ENDED UP HAVING TO COME BACK THE NEXT DAY BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T HAVE ANY OF THE SPECIAL, LESS SMELLY CAULK WITH THEM. THIS IS OUR ONLY COMPLAINT, OTHER THAN THIS, ALL CALLS ANSWERED ON TIME, SALESPERSON (JON) CAME OUT ON TIME, WORKMEN CAME OUT ON TIME, QUALITY OF WORK WAS GOOD, AND ANY ADDITIONAL ISSUES THAT HAVE COME UP HAVE ALL BEEN RESOLVED VERY SATISFACTORILY.

DID A GOOD JOB REPLACING A LARGE NUMBER OF WINDOWS. TWO OF THE NEW WINDOWS HAD SOME MANUFACTURING DEFECTS, AND THEY QUICKLY REPLACED THESE WITH NO HASSLES.
