Description of Work: As of this writing the work has not been performed. We are waiting on the glass needed to be cut and delivered for installment. Victor was very informative and seemed very knowledgeable. I look forward to the work being completed and am confident I will be happy with the results.

Description of Work: The project was to replace old, bad quality vinyl windows in a second floor apartment of a two flat and three windows of a house. From the first email, Jon and the staff were professional, efficient, responsive, clear, no-nonsense. They came when they said they would and got the job done. I liked that they are a smallish firm that has its own workers rather than a bigger company that farms out installation. My tenants were happy and I felt I could trust them.

Description of Work: This company is the result of the old "Scientific Windows". When I called to have a 2 windows replaced(one still under warranty with the old company and one from my own doing) the gentleman was very profesional and courteous on the phone and quicklly scheduled an appt. for me. On the date of appt., Victor came out to to assess the situation, and explained that this new co. (Scientific Home Services) was the result of Scientific Windows going into bankrupcy, and being bought by these guys.Victor explained the warrantys were null and void with the bankrupcy, but would do everything possible to honor what he could. He was AMAZING.He worked out a great deal with me for both windows, and went over to several neighbors(All condo owners) who were having some trouble with there windows. They also were very impressed with Victor, who didnt charge them for some minor adjustments to there windows. These guys are trying very hard to be as reputable and professional as the old company, and in my view they are far exceeding those expectations. There doing a great job! Thanks, Richard Rinehart

Description of Work: While the service person was slightly late, he did a thorough and professional job. He checked all windows and made adjustments as necessary. I can tell the improvement in my family room - hugh reduction in drafts. I would recommend this service and use them again.

Description of Work: This is the second time Scientific has come to our house to install 6 more Marvin Ultimate clad casement windows w/unfinished pine interior and white exterior. Total was 6035.00 These guys are prompt and professional. I was at work when they came with my husband being at home at the time so I expected to do some cleanup. However, the only way I knew the windows were replaced was the fact that the windows were new. I had to do NO cleanup afterwards. We did our research on window replacements and found that Marvin was just as good for the price as Pella. If I can convince my husband to replace the rest of the house, I'm at these guy's doorstep again! Don't like spending $$ on something I can't wear or that doesn't glitter on my hand but this was a great investment in our house. Worth every penny!

Description of Work: How many times in life do you call a service professional to your house for an estimate and they tell you - i'd rather you not replace this. Your home is better off with the original item. I invited Jonathan from Scientific to my home to review our windows and storms - all very very old and mostly non-functioning. I was under the assumption after speaking with other providers that I had to replace my original wood windows to a "modern" vinyl. Jonathan explained the simple, cost effective method for a good carpernter to save my original windows. After I pressed him on the storms - he insisted mine are well made and should be kept. I was stunned - honest, professional, and informative. I will make sure to contact him in the future for any potential repairs.

Description of Work: I emailed on a Monday night that I had a broken window, and at 7:45 AM the next day Victor called to let me know he would be by at noon take a look. Got my estimate that day, and he made an appointment for Friday to install the new one (all of this fitting into the schedule of the tenant in the apartment that had the broken window. I paid by credit card (very easy) and was emailed my invoice and a receipt of payment. This was so easy! Would definately use them again!

Description of Work: Incredibly professional and helpful. I didn't get to use their services bc they cannot get the parts for the window (Jeldwen, awful!) that I needed, but he tried to help me in anyway possible. Great great customer service!
