I spoke with Barbara on the phone, and she wanted to set up a meeting to come out and see the area to be cleaned. She arrived promptly at the scheduled time, and was very professional in her demeanor. We walked up and down the hallways and throughout the building, and then she gave me quote on the spot for what her firm would charge. In the end we did not end up using her company because her quoted cost was $25 higher than our next highest quote. If I had to change from our current company I would certainly use Major Cleaning Professionals. Judging from Barbara's thoroughness, professionalism, and attention to detail I would imagine they do a good job of cleaning. In addition, I liked the fact that she communicates with her clients via e-mail. She e-mails invoices to you, and also said that she would e-mail you if you were running out of cleaning supplies. If money wasn't an object she would have been my first choice in choosing a cleaning company.

The cleaning was unsatisfactory. Dust balls were left in the dining room and the base boards throughout the condo were not dusted. The kitchen counters had a grit left on them which should not have happened had the granite cleaning solution been used as requested. The housekeeper knocked over a fire place screen causing it to be damaged with a dent and a 3 to 4 inch deep scratch on it (and never told me about it). Further, a scratch was found near the bottom of my desk (never told about it). Additionally, marks were found on the walls that appear to have resulted from being hit by a mop.

The lady from Major Cleaning was very prompt in getting back to me after my first message. We set up an initial appointment, and was willing to move it when I need to reschedule. She came during the afternoon when I was at work, and they worked all afternoon to make my condo spic and span. They even folded my clothes, which surprised me! :) All in all, a wonderful job.

My calls were promptly returned and the initial visit for a quote went well. She pointed out areas where there regular service exceeded what I had in mind, areas where my expectations were too low. Angela does the cleaning and she is great! Always prompt and thorough. The place is very clean and organized. She has finished jobs I was in the middle of (clothes in the dryer) and organizes my fridge as well. When the day needed to be changed, I received a call a week in advance to make sure it was alright. Great service, very clean, and responsible.

I read about Major Cleaning on Angie's List and decided to contact them after reading all of the great reviews about their service. I emailed Barb to request a quote for a cleaning of the two stairwells in my condo building. I gave a detailed description of the work required, requested an estimate and asked if the work could be scheduled in about two weeks. I promptly received a return email from Barb asking when she could come out to look at the building. We made an appointment for a Friday afternoon. Barb showed up right on time, and I came down to meet her to show her the stairwells. She was very professional and started to survey the area. As we entered the hallway, I told her that this was something we would probably need to have done again in another six months since the units in the building are responsible for maintaining the common areas throughout the year. She responded that they don't do that - only regular cleanings. That was pretty much it and she left. I was a little disappointed since I'd read all of the reviews that people wrote saying that her company did one-time cleanings for house parties or a deep-cleaning when they moved into a new home. I'm not sure - perhaps my building wasn't big enough to make it worth while for a one-time cleaning. If they truly don't do that, I wish I would have been told over email instead of leaving work two hours early to do a walk through for no reason. Perhaps it was just a misunderstanding, but I'm afraid this experience has left me flat.

Barbara was professional and friendly. I am looking forward to a clean house at a fair price.

The person that they have been sending is very thorough and very friendly. She is always on time and is very quick with the work. I would recommend them to anyone and plan on continuing my services.

Everything sparkling clean. Janina is wonderful. The first visit had some minor kinks, but easily solved and remediated for the next visit.

We hired Major Cleaning in April. I only waited this long to make sure the service would be as good 90 days later as it was the first time. I am so pleased to announce Barbara the owner has lived up to all her promises. We have bi-weekly service and our wonderful housekeeper is better than ever. My house is impeccably cleaned and I trust them with my keys which means I can come and go as needed. The house is dusted not like another company we had who used a blower and just pushed it to the floor. We get the little extras I asked for like wiping the shelved on the fridge(and freezer) as needed. The tracks in my slider windows and patio door are cleaned every week. The bathroom and kitchen are immaculate. I have dark granite counters and floors and that is a lot of work but they always shine. I would recommend this service to everyone from the condo owner, apartment owner or larger home owner. They care and are always on time and I get the same housekeeper every time!

Barbara was extremely professional, prompt and polite. She worked with our schedule and Kate was very thorough at cleaning the house, albeit a tad slow. The work that Kate did was good, and she was very receptive to our special instructions.

She is very professional, but very friendly. It was a very good experience. When we called she answered right away and the estimate she gave was very fair.

The company showed up as scheduled on both occasions. They did an excellent job. They did exactly what they said they would do and showed up with sufficient staff and equipment to do it. I am going to continue to use their services. It was not inexpensive, but a lot of work needed to be done. In the long run, I believe that the price charged was fair given the excellent service performed.

Barbara looked at our home, made an estimate for both weekly and biweekly cleaning. She was clear that estimates were made by the job not by the hour. I appreciated that clarity. About 10 days later she arrived with Elizabeth and showed her around, helping us express our needs and expectations. Elizabeth has now come 4 times and does a very nice job. We have 3 young kids so there is lots of clutter which we try to abate before her visit, though she still straightens quite a bit. We are transitioning to greener cleaning supplies, but I think she is more familiar with brand name cleaners. I am certain she'll be willing to use them once we work it out with Barbara. When communicating with Barbara she is to the point and professional. We have communicated on a couple issues and she has been reasonable. Though the price is approx 25% more than what we paid previously, the reliability of the cleaning seems worth it.

They did a great job! It went really smooth. There were no hassles. It took them two days to clean the whole 950 sq. ft. condo. We are thinking about having them back on a regular basis.

Excellent work, Barbara even came out on Saturday to check and make sure that her employee did a complete job. Barbara spent over an hour on Saturday walking though and checking her employees work. What a pleasure having someone go the extra mile.

I had a previous cleaning woman for around seventeen years and wondered how I could ever replace her. She seemed almost like an extension of my family! The time came for her departure and I contacted Major Cleaning Professionals. Barbara, the owner of this firm, met with me, surveyed my home and then paired me with my current house cleaner. Now 8 1/2 months after her first visit, I am still delighted by my new home cleaner's regular, efficient and high-caliber professionalism. It has been a wonderful association and I am very pleased. When I had some painting and home repair work, there was need for a re-scheduling of my usual cleaning date. I called in advance to negotiate (and, of course, paid additionally for the grit cleaning aftermath in the bathroom, as well as the likely baby sitting fees incurred by my cleaner in order to accommodate me) but all was handled simply, courteously and easily. I am simply very pleased by the service, skill and character of my new cleaner and intend to stay with Barbara's firm indefinitely!

Barbara dropped one of her cleaning ladies off on Sunday morning (this was the soonest she could get someone to the building being a first client she wanted to make sure she was around to make sure everything was taken care of) She showed up promptly at 8am and was finished by 3pm. The floors (all hardwood) were swept and mopped, bathroom thoroughly cleaned, kitchen & appliances were cleaned inside and out. I was very pleased with the work and the time in which it was completed.

Truly the best cleaning service I've ever had and I've gone through several. Our cleaning lady is careful and thorough. I will continue with them as long as I'm in Chicago. I'm so happy that we switched from the dust connection to them. Now my furniture and things are treated carefully and I can't say enough about them!!

We absolutely love Isabella - she does an amazing job, she's very nice - very nice to our pets, too, and so careful with our furniture. We couldn't be happier. I also really enjoy working with Barbara. She is always so nice and professional. Our house always needs a good scrub by the time Isabella comes to clean and every time she does a very thorough job. My sister works has the same cleaning service and she has been very happy as well. It's always such a great feeling to walk into our house after Isabella has cleaned. There's never any worry or concern with the work - it's always very thorough and consistent. It's also very nice to know that she is very nice to my cats and dog when she is in our home. She always treats our home as carefully as she would treat her own home.

Barbara, the owner, was excellent. Isabella did a great job cleaning my house. They were prompt, courteous, and thorough. I have recommended them to friends. Barbara checks the employees work. They are trustworthy.

Barb's company has been cleaning my condo in Evanston for almost two years now, and they always do an excellent job! I look forward to opening my door on the scheduled date (once each month), the smell of lemon and my two cats relaxed and content. Jola does wonderful work, and I trust her implicitly. Barbara initially visited and discussed the services her company would provide. I have the same woman every week and she does a wonderful job. She is polite and punctual. I have had bad experiences in the past with cleaning services. I never have to worry about someone not showing up or doing a poor job with this service.
