Everything Closets

Our experience with Lonny and Everything Closets was fantastic. We would highly recommend them! We installed three new closets and love all three. Lonny worked with us to maximize our space, and we got significantly more out of these three closets than we expected. Lonny was great to work with - reliable, strong communicator, and fantastic at taking our input and working out great closet options. We will absolutely use him again.

We contacted Lonny about getting a quote for our new master closet. Everything closets was one of 3 major closet companies that we took bids from for the project. Lonny listened to our needs ad wants and created a closet that is amazing. Not only was his cost significantly less than his competitors, the design was much more useful. He came to the appointment on time and was very thoughtful putting the presentation together - which also came in on time. He gave us a delivery date and ended up coming a few days earlier(we were very happy about that). The installers were very friendly, clean, punctual and made sure to take care of all the new work that had been done in the rest of the house. We will be using him again for other projects and are very happy with our decision!

Lonny was great and easy to work with. We spoke on the phone regarding what I was looking for. We scheduled a time for him to come to my house to look and measure the closets. He was on time and knowledgeable on different options. A few days later, he emailed me a detailed estimate with drawings. The closets were great. We had one small change which he quickly made for us. We then scheduled an installation date. The installation was smooth with no issues. Our closets are great and its a big improvement in my kids small rooms. I would highly recommend Everything Closets.

Let me first say that the service was excellent! Lonny was quite a professional despite not having an availability. He was booked when I contacted him, but this was a great sign that he was perfect for the job. Can I say that he came through with excellent service! His installers were quick, courteous, and, cleaned up after the work was finished - a great plus. I loved his designs, and the service all around went smoothly. Working with Lonny and Everything Closets was fantastic! I moved into a new house with nothing in the closets; not even rods. On very short notice Lonny met me at the house, took measurements for all of the closets, the laundry room, and space in the garage. By the next evening he sent me designs for everything that were very easy to understand. He was very creative on a couple of the closets that were oddly shaped. Then about a week later his installers showed up right on time and by the time I got home from work all of the closets were done. After I used them for a few days, I asked if we could lower one of the rods and shelf so it was closer to my height. NO PROBLEM. They came back and moved it to exactly where I wanted it, and then he helped me adjust some of the shelves in another closet. They were so helpful, organized, and there wasn't a speck of dust anywhere after they left.

Lonny's operation is top notch. He is very helpful during the process of choosing materials and design. His suggestions guided us toward practical and functional choices. I didn't feel like I was being "sold" into more than I needed. We were given schematics of the installation before being asked to accept a proposal. I appreciated that level of detail. It helped me understand exactly what to expect. We made a couple minor changes to the design and Lonny was very accommodating during that process. Lonny's installers were friendly, professional and considerate. They left the place spotless and their workmanship was high-quality. All in all, we were very happy with the experience and if ever we decide to do the rest of the closets, we would call Lonny without question.

Everything was great to work with. Lonny and team were professional, courteous and punctual. The price was very competitive and Lonny was able to delivery much quicker than the two other vendors we looked at (which was a huge plus given some of the lead times on the market) - timing worked out very well for us. Lonny was also accommodating to our schedule when it came to installation. In addition to carefully planning out our work and providing renderings, he also came on site the day of to inspect the installation and check to make sure everything was going well. Lonny's suggestions were welcomed, especially about value for our money. We are especially happy about the end result. Overall, the end product was great and Lonny went above and beyond our expectations. We would not think twice about hiring him again for another project.

Lonny visited my home and took measurements for each closet and asked a number of questions to confirm how I intended to use the space so he could develop custom designs. He was very thoughtful during this process and asked a number of questions that I hadn't considered. From there, Lonny emailed detailed design drawings and quotes. His drawings were professional and very easy to read. A few weeks after we finalzied the designs/price, Lonny's team came to my home to do the installation. I just bought my home during our first interaction (March 2014) so I had a number of vendors in my home for several weeks. Lonny's team by far was the most professional and courteous (and I've been pretty fortune to work with some pretty awesome vendors - so the bar is high). They used protective drop cloths everywhere and thoroughly cleaned up after themselves leaving me with fabulous new closets. The finished product matched the designs perfectly so I have the aesthetic and functionality I wanted. Thanks Lonny and team!

Disappointed in lack of availability for a consultation.

My husband and I are both college professors who need office space at home. When we moved to a bungalow from a townhouse in Chicago, we asked Lonny Goldberg of Everything Closets, Inc., to design a home office for us. In addition, we also had him improve a small guest closet with built-ins and space for hanging clothes. We were very pleased with both projects. We absolutely loved the office ? a great workspace with a well-designed desk and bookshelves. And the new closet greatly enhanced the guest room. In fact, we liked Lonny?s designs so much, we had him build us a new office when we moved to our present home ? a ranch. This time we had two workspaces included in the office because my husband is soon retiring and will need more dedicated work areas for his future projects (biostatisticians don?t really retire?). Lonny is a perfectionist who takes great pride in his work ? and his installers follow suit ? from design to installation to clean-up. Lonny was recommeded to us by our builder, and we couldn't be happier with his work. We had him design and install custom closets throughout our new construction 3BR condo- this included three reach-in bedroom closets, one walk-in bedroom closet, pantry, laundry room and coat closet. Since Lonny was doing other closets in our building for the builder, he already had our measurements- We went to his office for our initial consultation, and within a week, Lonny sent over his ideas for all of our closets based on our conversation. He was pretty much dead on, but it was also very easy to make a few tweaks. We said that we really preferred to have the job done in one day, so he sent two guys who were able to accomplish our goal. After completion, we realized what a gamechanger it is to have fully organized closets and we are thrilled with the end product. There was one very minor issue with the installation, which Lonny had someone out to take care of within two days. Overall, our experience with Lonny and Everything Closets was top notch and I would highly recommend his services.

We hired Lonny and Everything Closets in October 2011 in our previous home. His team did such an outstanding job, we hired him to complete another closet for us here at our new home. We will likely hire him again for additional work. His team is prompt, courteous, and you will receive great value and workmanship for your money.

Great communication. Prompt responses to emails and calls. Very straight-forward answers to my questions and would always apply his expertise to address my needs but make sure the design was still sound. Felt my conversations with Lonny were always helpful and easy. He happily surprised me with a design that allowed another bank of much needed shelves. Very competitive price. In comparison, I had another company give an estimate. I found them to be less willing to consult with me (i.e. advise and help) on the design and the price was higher. So better service and better price! Flexible in terms of timing, and very direct regarding lead times. I needed a contractor to prep the closet space and they were not able to give me an exact schedule. Lonny kept in good communication while we were working through it. When a cancellation came up, Lonny was quick to call and the install happened earlier than expected. Installer was super-friendly and did a great job. We have some challenges with living in an old house that he handled in stride. Great follow-up after the install too. There was one change to the install that Lonny suggested after he talked with the installer. They completed it the next day.

We were searching for custom closets for 3 spaces in our home and reached out to Everything Closets because of their positive reviews. Lonny came out to our home and discussed different options for our awkward closet configurations / door sizes. He understood that we were trying to manage costs and he was great about suggesting ways to keep the project costs down without compromising on the functionality / overall quality. He suggested some unique ways to maximize storage which have been helpful. Lonny was very prompt at answering my questions during the design phase. Their quote was slightly more competitive than the competitors but service was hands down more professional and friendly. From the time of signing the quote, we were able to book an install date 3 weeks later. The install team was very courteous and organized. They were able to install 2 bedroom closets and 1 large entryway / mudroom closet in one day. Lonny promptly followed up to ensure the service and product was satisfactory. We are very pleased and would recommend Everything Closets to anyone.

He didn't seem very responsive or interested in performing work for a garage storage solution. He stated he was too busy at the time to do the work but that I could call back in a few weeks if still interested. He also said that the major focus of his work was in closets, so I got the sense that he wasn't as interested in doing garage work. While I understand that the company has gotten many good reviews and is busy, it seems as though perhaps he should consider not advertising as being available to do garage work if not really interested. It ended up being a waste of my time trying to contact this company. I went with Closet Works, and they did an excellent job.

Lonny came to my home and spent a couple of hours measuring, asking questions and then showing samples, talking about quality and suggested use of the different kinds of shelving offered. Within a week I received the estimate and a detailed copy of his suggested designs with several views of each. I had a few questions and only a couple of revisions. As soon as I accepted the job the work was scheduled based on my needs and their availability. At the same time my walls were being painted and new floors installed. Coordination between Lonny's crew and the others went smoothly, almost invisibly. After the job was completed, Lonny followed up with an inspection and corrections and minor revisions were completed within a couple of weeks. I have no reservations about recommending Everything Closets to others or about calling on them in the future. The quality of work and service were exceptional.

Lonny was great. He was very good to work with as we designed each closet. He listened to what we needed and worked to get the most out of all of our spaces. With new construction it was hard to know exactly how we would use the space. So we had to make a few adjustments to the closets after they were installed. He was fair about making these changes. I know he is very busy so the additional changes took some time, but once these were completed we have been very happy. We will continue to use Lonny for additional work and would highly recommend him.

Not only was the craftsmanship outstanding, but the service can not be beat. They scheduled around us and helped completion in time for a major event. Lonny worked with us on several revised concepts providing thoughtful and candid counsel on what would work and what wouldn't. We were thrilled with the solution. When the work team was delayed, they made sure they came for an hour the next day to touch up and ensure perfection. If you are building any custom storage and want top notch craftsmanship and design that maximizes any space (mine is an unusual loft,) this is the company above all others.

When I initially contacted Lonny to see if he was interested in the projects, he said he was very busy and needed a couple weeks to catch up in order to devote the appropriate amount of energy to new projects, but that he wouldn't forget to call me in a couple to check if I was still interested. I appreciated his honesty. I got another bid in the mean time, but I wasn't blown away by the ideas of the other company, so I waited to hear back from Lonny. He did contact me again at the time he said he would, and we set up a meeting to look at the closets. He got back to me within a week with designs and pricing. All but the master bedroom pricing were comparable to the other bid we had. The master bedroom was significantly more expensive, but took much greater advantage of the space we had and included some doors to cover shelving. This was the kind of creative solution we were looking for and had read about in prior reviews of Everything Closets. The installation went well, and the installers were very professional and courteous. Some of the doors and drawers for our master bedroom came in damaged and weren't to Lonny's approval, so we did have to wait a couple weeks for those to come in and get installed. Overall we are very happy with the results and how much more efficiently we can use our space. We will be contacting Lonny again when we are ready to do our children's closets.

We needed new, functional designs in three closets in our new house, as well as storage shelves and closets added to an additional room. Lonny's designs were exactly what we needed, and the price was great. His installation crew was fantastic- taking the time to show my 2 year old her new closet. We couldn't be happier with the design and work!
