 + 0 moreThe whole process was great! I first made a call to Lonny to get an idea of how much it would cost. I didn't want to waste his time by coming out if we decided not to do something because of cost. He asked me to take some measurements and he would email a design to me. He responded promptly with the design and estimated cost for what we were looking for. When we finally decided to move forward with the closet installation, Lonny came out and took accurate measurements and made some further suggestions and options. We scheduled the installation for a week later. The individual that came and installed the closet was very professional and polite. He got our closet done in a few hours and didn't leave a spot of dust behind. Overall, a very great experience. I would definitely use Everything Closets again!
Description of Work: We had Everything Closets put together a closet design for our master bedroom. The individual that previously installed a really basic closet did a poor job and it was falling apart. Lonny put together a design for our very small closet space (for a master bedroom) that really helped organize our closet and maximize our space.

 + 0 moreLonny arrived at our house on time. He was very professional. He listened to our needs and made suggestions as needed. The space he was going to work in didn't exist yet, as our master bath and closet were being gutted and completely redesigned. We had a plan for the new construction, which he used to work up his initial design. The design was excellent and addressed all our needs. We felt it was fairly priced (Angie's List members receive a nice discount). We had received another bid from a competitor, and they were unable to come close to Lonny's design at his price. We made a few minor additions to the plan, and I measured the newly built space and sent Lonny pictures to save him another trip to our house. Lonny's design proposal included drawings and a computer-generated elevation of the organizer. My wife found the computer image very useful in imagining the finished product. On the day of the installation, Sean arrived in our driveway early and rang the front doorbell at exactly 8:00 am. He was unfailingly polite, a true gentleman, and a great asset to Lonny's business. It took about 6 hours to install the unit, and the end product is exceptional. Everything fits together perfectly. It is as sturdy as a vault. And it looks like a million bucks. Lonny stopped by later that afternoon to inspect the job and to make sure we were happy. We were and still are. You can hire Everything Closets for your project with complete confidence. I would use them again in a heartbeat.

 + 0 moreLonny came to our home for an on-site and listened to our project requirements, did a careful measure of the closet area, and offered many helpful suggestions as to materials, finishes, hardware and various design considerations. Within few days, he emailed us his design offering, with all necessary dimensions, in a CAD rendering, so we had a great idea what the system would look like. We also visited his showroom in Niles to make our final materials selections. Installation took 2 days, and the finished product is fantastic. Everything Closets clearly exceeded our expectations!
Description of Work: Lonny designed a beautiful custom system for our walk-in closet, which includes drawer storage, covered storage (doors) open storage (shoes, etc.) long hang and double-hang for clothing, seating, counter top and built-in hampers. From design to installation, Lonny and his employees were just great. Shawn and Garrett did the install and they were meticulous. Our goal was to replaced a number of dressers in our master bedroom with a built-in system providing as much storage, plus a number of additional features. Lonny's design was a home run!

Description of Work: I had a vanity with a small sink in the master bedroom that was not being used efficiently. I wanted it replaced with custom cabinetry. Lonny met with me in a few days following my initial call. We discussed a plan for demo and new cabinetry. I now have beautiful, functional cabinetry with a ton of storage space.

 + 0 moreLonny, the owner, came out to look at the work to be completed and was very helpful in my decision on the final layout of the project. He arrived on time and had plenty of examples for me to choose from with all of the accessory options. When asked about another space in my house under the stairs he was straight forward in advising against installing the type of shelving that I thought was appropriate due to the concrete. He however, researched shelving for me and sent me links to locations where I could find what I needed to accomplish what I wanted. He obviously took measurements of all closets and gave recommendations to accomplish my goals. He followed up his visit with diagrams of each space laid out in color as it would appear in the space and then with each wall of the project diagramed in detail with all shelving and attachments.with associated dimensions. I was very impressed with the detail of the document. He made adjustments at my recommendation and got them back to me within 1 day of our discussion. Lonny was very accommodating of my schedule to arrange the date(s) of installation. On the day of installation the installer(s) arrived on time, were very professional and polite. They made no assumptions about my home. They asked before doing anything, even before using the restroom. They advised when they were going to take a break for lunch, which was not excessive to be respectful of my time and were very apologetic that the installation took so much of my time, though I anticipated an all day experience anyway. The installers cleaned up as they went along they wore shoe covers to protect my hardwood floors and carpet from outdoor debris. On the second day of service the installer again arrived on time and was in and out in approximately 1 hour. They were able to make last minute changes at my request without hesitation. Lonny was available as needed to discuss the work or any issues as the work was being done. I am so pleased with my choice and the work that was done. I have more space and the closets look impeccable.
Description of Work: Everything closets installed new shelving, hanging bars, tie racks, belt racks in three closets in y home. The Master Bedroom closet which is a walk-in was the most elaborate. I had basic shelving from the original purchase with items on the floor and very disorganized. They transformed this closet into a a well organized space that I am very proud of. The company also provided a painter to pain the closet consistent with the color in by bedroom which is what I requested. I had to purchase the paint however for the exact match. The company supplied all materials, of course and the service men, were extremely professional and and neat and cleaned up everything before leaving each day. The work took two days, but I was advised that this might be the case due to the painting and patchwork that was needed.

 + 0 moreI was thoroughly satisfied with my overall experience with Everything Closets. I found this vendor via Angie's List and was impressed upon reading the reports submitted by previous clients. I can confirm that with Everything Closets you will have a truly professional experience and the job will be done with attention paid to craftsmanship, timeliness, and budget. I called Lonny to request a visit and he generously offered to come by on a weekend that he was previously planning to take off to assess our needs. He arrived on time and was very quickly able to identify the weaknesses of our current closet shelving and make immediate recommendations by asking questions about our preferences and greatest needs. Within 72 hours Lonny had provided a detailed estimate which reflected our conversation - complete with drawings and total cost - and we scheduled a time for the completion of the work. Lonny's team - one was Garrett, can't remember the name of the other - arrived on time and worked diligently for two days to complete the build-out of our new closets. They allowed my husband and I to poke around as much as we liked and kept us abreast of the current status of the work at all times. Lonny came to inspect the job after it was completed and walked us through every detail of the work that had been done. He patiently and thoughtfully responded to all our questions, no matter how benign. Overall, I couldn't have been more satisfied with my experience. I would utilize their services without hesitation in the future and hope I'll have the chance to do so. If I could change one tiny item it would be to eliminate the 3% surcharge for use of credit cards. It seems a bit antiquated and unnecessary in this day and age to be charged for credit card purchases...not many of us use personal checks any more.
Description of Work: Lonny came by and did an initial assessment of our needs and provided an estimate of services (including all drawings, etc.) within 72 hours. Lonny's team removed our dated wire closet shelving, repaired and painted the walls and built and installed our fabulous new closet organizers.

 + 0 moreEverything went smoothly, quickly, and cleanly. Lonny came over as soon as I had a date that would accommodate my and my wife's schedule. He came first thing in the morning so we could get to work on time. He listed to everything my wife wanted, provided examples of his work, and made recommendations great recommendation. there was no attempt to get us to purchase the more expensive finishes. He actually recommended the plain white because it was the best fit (least expensive). He had drawings for our approval and an invoice within two days. To my happy surprise he gave us the Angie's List discount had had advertised, which ended just before we contacted him. $400 off! His guys came over the next week, came on time, finished well before the end of the day, and left no mess whatsoever. I cannot recommend Everything Closets Enough! We have another project we want to do at some point, and I will definitely be calling Lonny again.
Description of Work: Lonny designed and built out our master bedroom and guest bedroom closets. We had shoes spilling out from our small master bedroom closet six rows deep and our clothes were stuffed into it. Lonny came over and suggested we work with both the master and guest bedroom closets because the master was so small. This was a present for my wife, so she took over the whole master and I got part of the guest closet (which is actually bigger than the master. Everything now fits easily into our closets.

 + 0 moreLonny came out personally and made recommendations for our space. He was very prompt, professional, and nice to deal with. He got his designs to us within a day (this was right before Thanksgiving too!). I asked some questions and requested a few changes, which he responded to very quickly. Once the project was agreed upon, he gave me a time frame of when they could come for installation, which was less than one week. He had Sean come out for installation. Lonny had estimated 4 hours and that is almost exactly the amount of time it took. Additionally, Sean was even a few minutes early for the appointment (it had snowed that morning and he said he left early to accommodate any traffic issues). Sean was SUPER professional (Lonny, you have a real gem there). We are very satisfied with the final product and I can't say enough about what a great outfit this is to deal with. They are professional, courteous, deliver a quality product, and at a reasonable price. You will not be disappointed.
Description of Work: We had a new shelving put into my son's closet to replace the single wire shelf put in there by the builder and we had bookshelves built in a bedroom space.

He measured, spent the time to offer suggestions, and sent us a closet design for our master bedroom within one day. His design was thoughtful taking into consideration our specific needs. Installation was then scheduled in a short time frame. The installers were prompt, courteous and respectful of our home. The turn around time for sketches was really fast (within two days) and the final drawings were finished the day after we provided some additional feedback from the first designs. Installation was about a week later and took less than a day. He offered a really nice discount for Angie's list subscribers. The two gentlemen who came to do the installation were courteous and clean. They took great care to prioritize the installation to work around my daughter's nap time. They also were very conscious of making sure they didn't accidentally let the cats out when moving supplies in and out of the house. When they finished I told them that I wished that closets weren't just a 'once in a home-lifetime project' because the work is so great! If only our other repairmen and technicians were as easy and reliable as they were. The home improvement world would be a better place! :)

 + 0 moreWe live in a Victorian house which is more challenging than a 'conventional' home. During the estimate, Everything Closets gave us a good suggestion to have some carpentry work done in our master bedroom to expand the closet area and fix a drooping brace. We took their plans and shared it with an excellent carpenter who did the prep work needed prior to Everything Closets coming to do the interior work. Our closets were installed in one day and we are beyond pleased with them. They are well made and even better, we are finally able to store our things neatly and the closets have more storage space than we thought would be possible. We are delighted with them and the work done. We compared other companies and Everything Closets was the best priced and took the time to carefully design a plan that would work for us.

 + 0 moreI live in a home that was built in 1915, and was remodeled. There are a lot of smaller spaces that we needed to convert into usable space. I gave Lonny the the challenge of converting and old entrance to the back of the house into a closet for my husband and a laundry area for me. This is my second time working with Everything Closets. Prior, Lonny installed closet organizers in all the bedrooms in my house. He gave me a two tiered hanging system for my tiny master bedroom closet. Love it! Lonny is prompt as usual! He measured and made sure that my husband's closet needs and my laundry room were met. The installers were also prompt. They finished the job and cleaned up neatly. There was a gap above the laundry room cabinet that I did not want left open. It took a couple of tries, but turned out beautiful. We love our new spaces!!!

My condo does not have a lot of closet space, and they were able to maximize every inch. Initially, I had planned on hiring the Container Store to install their Elfa closets until meeting with Lonny and learning Everything Closets could install for less AND would use better materials. I would definitely recommend.

Got the designs on time, selected materials, and scheduled installation, all to be done in one day. Installer came on time on the designated day, worked efficiently, completed the job and cleaned up. The materials are high quality and well installed. I appreciated their professionalism, efficiency, promptness, and workmanship. To say nothing of the good designs they developed. I'm very happy with the new closets. I also showed Lonny and third space in our basement. He said a closet system would not work well in the awkward space and we should leave it as is. I appreciated his not doing the job just for the sake of it.

Description of Work: Everything Closets at 7344 N. Milwaukee Ave., Niles, IL. is an excellent company in every respect. President Lonny Goldberg responded promptly to my request for an appointment. We were looking for a company that would design and build an efficient, organized closet for our newly remodeled, master bedroom walk-in closet space that is 8' x 5'. The task was extra challenging, because my husband is very tall and requires longer hanging space for his longer-than-average clothes, and larger shoe-storage space, for his size 15 shoes. Lonny Goldberg is a very nice person to do business with. He knows his business, and he came prepared. First, we talked. Lonny told us about how they build closets and he asked us about our closet space needs and wants--usage plans. Most importantly, he listened thoughtfully. He asked questions about preferences, and had us select construction materials and hardware. He brought samples and photos to help us choose. He measured and drew a diagram of our closet space and returned to his office to create his design plan. In a few days he emailed his detailed design plans, and included an explanation of the advantages of arranging things the way he did. He enclosed a detailed contract with the cost estimate, which included a lifetime warranty on materials and labor! His design plans were excellent and exceeded what we had asked for, providing more space than we thought possible. His good ideas and extra touches, like adding more storage cubbies, and positioning hanging clothes in a different area than we had first proposed, were really helpful and beneficial. It made our open shelf space and drawer space more easily accessible--not in conflict with hanging clothing, as it would have been. We needed to wait for a few weeks before he could start work on our closet, because other remodeling work needed to be finished on our house. Meanwhile, we decided to visit the Everything Closets Store, to see examples of closets in the showroom, and make certain we made the best choices. Lonny was very helpful, showing us different wood finish samples, and optional closet accessories that we had asked about. We decided to upgrade from white melamine wood shelving to Summer Flame wood melamine, and also made changes on cabinet hardware. Lonny rewrote the agreement while we waited, and we arranged the date to have the work done. The workman was very nice, punctual, and professional, and he built our closet exactly as Lonny had designed it. All of the closet structures and shelving had been made in their workshop, precisely to fit, and they did. He installed everything beautifully, and the end result is a fantastic closet!

 + 0 moreI highly recommend getting closets designed by Lonny. You will not be disappointed. After the first year I did add door fronts to four sections in the master closet. Now it looks totally finished. I also love the tie rack I purchased as well as the hooks for the master closet and the belt rack. The shelves are very sturdy. Lonny is very talented with the design. I love my master closet. He designed it better than I could have imagined.
Description of Work: I had the provider install 6 closets for me two years ago. I love my closets. Lonny was wonderful to work with and his installers were very good. Over the past two years my needs for one of the closets changed. I contacted Lonny recently via email. He made two more shelves for me and had them ready in a few days. I picked them up and they fit perfectly. To my surprise he did this at no charge to me.

While I got an immediate response to my inquiry, it took a full week to get a quote back on the job proposal. I found Lonnie to be brash and a bit arrogant. When we asked about the timing of the project, he was very rude in his tone and let us know that the factory was working full time and it would be "at least six weeks" before they could get to our project. Given the long lead time, we asked when we could get the estimate and were told "it certainly won't be this weekend." When we finally got the estimate, it was higher than the estimate we got to have new kitchen cabinets installed. When I thanked Lonnie for the estimate and told him it was higher than our kitchen estimate, I got a very curt note back about how much time he had put into our estimate and how I should word my emails more politely in the future. I have since gotten other estimates - Lonnie was indeed much higher for a lesser made product. Frankly, my experience with Lonnie was not consistent with the other comments on Angie's List. We will not be using Lonnie or his company.

The owner really listened to what we needed and was flexible with the feedback I gave them. He also provided suggestions when it came to the colors and what would go with our home and style. He installed the closets in two days. The installers were punctual and did a great job. I really love my new closets, they are even better than I though they would be.
