THE TASK WAS SOMEWHAT DIFFICULT, BUT THE TECHNICIAN REMAINED PATIENT, COURTEOUS, AND PROFESSIONAL THROUGHOUT. THEY INSTALLED LIGHTS IN MY CEILING. I ASKED THEM IF I NEEDED TO COVER MY ANTIQUES AND PAINTINGS HE SAID THAT HE WOULD TAKE CARE OF IT. THIS CUSTOMER RESCHEDULED OUR INITIAL VISIT BECAUSE SHE HAD JUST MOVED IN AND WANTED TIME TO MOVE BOXES. WE USED OUR DROP CLOTHS AND COVERED ALL THE ITEMS SHE INFORMED US OF. WE EVEN MOVED SOME PAINTINGS TO HER KITCHEN AS SHE HAD REQUESTED. SHE WAS INFORMED THAT PATCHING AND PAINTING IS EXCLUDED, BUT OUR ELECTRICIAN DID IT ANYHOW, AT NO CHARGE. SHE STILL HAS NOT PAID FOR THE FULL INSTALLATION AND HAS NOT RETURNED ANY OF OUR PHONE CALLS. WE EVEN GAVE HER A CREDIT ON HER BILL. WHEN WE''RE INSTALLING FIXTURES IN THE CEILING, THERE IS LIKELY GOING TO BE DUST. THEY CAME OUT THE SAME DAY AND THE ELECTRICIAN EASILY FOUND THE PROBLEM AND FIXED IT. HE WAS REALLY NICE AND SHOWED ME WHAT WAS WRONG. HE SHOWED ME, USING HIS METER, THAT THE MAIN FUSES HAD BLOWN. THESE FUSES ARE BETWEEN THE METER AND THE CIRCUIT BREAKER BOX. I TOLD THE ELECTRICIAN, AS WELL AS HIS BOSS WHEN HE HAD ME TALK TO HIM ON THE PHONE, THAT I HAD ONLY BEEN READING WHEN THE POWER WENT OUT AND NOTHING BESIDES REGULAR APPLIANCES WERE PLUGGED IN AT THE TIME. HIS BOSS RECOMMENDED THAT I BOOST THE POWER TO THE BOX TO 300 AMPS, WHICH WOULD COST CLOSE TO $1500. I TOLD HIM THAT I WASN'T EVEN CLOSE TO DRAWING 200 AMPS AT THE TIME THE POWER BLEW. HIS ONLY RECOMMENDATION WAS STILL TO INCREASE THE POWER TO THE BOX, WHICH I DID NOT DO. I FOUND OUT LATER, THROUGH THE TEACHER WHO TEACHES MY ELECTRICAL CLASS, THAT THERE WAS NO WAY THAT I TRIPPED THOSE FUSES BY USING TOO MUCH POWER BECAUSE THE CIRCUIT BREAKERS WOULD HAVE BLOWN, WHICH THEY DIDN'T.
Description of Work: THE POWER WENT OUT IN THE SECOND STORY UNIT OF MY BUILDING AND IT WASN'T BECAUSE OF ANY CIRCUIT BREAKERS BEING TRIPPED. IT ENDED UP THAT THE MAIN TWO 100 AMP FUSES FOR THE SECOND STORY HAD BLOWN. THEY WERE REPLACED.

I SET UP THE APPOINTMENT SEVERAL DAYS IN ADVANCE FOR A FRIDAY MORNING, AND TOOK A HALF-DAY OFF FROM WORK TO MEET THE ELECTRICIAN. BY NOON, NO ONE SHOWED UP. WHEN I CALLED THE COMPANY, I DISCOVERED THAT THEY HAD FORGOTTEN TO SCHEDULE THE APPOINTMENT. THE BEST THEY WERE ABLE TO DO WAS RESCHEDULE FOR MONDAY MORNING. THE WORK WAS EXCELLENT, THE PRICE WAS PRETTY MUCH THE INDUSTRY STANDARD, AND EVERYONE WAS COURTEOUS. HOWEVER, NOT ONLY DID THEY MISS THEIR OWN APPOINTMENT, BUT THEY COULDN'T EVEN GET THEIR STORIES STRAIGHT WHEN THEY TRIED TO EXPLAIN WHY THEY DIDN'T SHOW. TWO DIFFERENT PEOPLE GAVE ME TWO COMPLETELY DIFFERENT EXPLANATIONS. I MISSED HALF A DAY OF WORK FOR NOTHING, AND HAD TO TAKE TIME OFF AGAIN 3 DAYS LATER. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME I'VE HAD RICH COME OUT TO OUR HOUSE. HE WORKED QUICKLY AND EFFICIENTLY, AND EXPLAINED EVERYTHING AS HE WAS DOING IT. WE WEREN'T ABLE TO FIX EVERYTHING, BUT THAT WAS DUE TO THE MANY SHORTCUTS TAKEN BY WHOMEVER THE PRIOR ELECTRICIAN WAS. RICH DID WHAT HE COULD AND OFFERED MANY SUGGESTIONS AND HONEST OPINIONS ABOUT HOW TO PROCEED. I COULDN'T BE HAPPIER WITH THE WORK OF RICH AND THIS COMPANY, ESG. I'M GOING TO HAVE ESG(HOPEFULLY RICH) BACK TO DO SOME MORE WORK IN THE COMING MONTH OR TWO. I HIGHLY RECCOMEND THEM HERE ON ANGIE'S LIST AND TO ANY FRIENDS THAT ASK.
Description of Work: SWITCHED A COUPLE WALL SOCKETS, PERFORMED TROUBLESHOOTING THROUGHOUT THE HOUSE ON NON-FUNCTIONING SWITCHES AND OUTLETS.

BILL WAS LATE BUT CALLED TO LET ME KNOW THAT. HE WORKED QUICKLY AND OBVIOUSLY KNEW WHAT HE WAS DOING. VERY PROFESSIONAL. GOOD COMMUNICATOR. THE COST WAS WHAT I HAD BEEN QUOTED. OVERALL A GOOD, POSITIVE EXPERIENCE.
Description of Work: REPAIRED ELECTRICAL SHORT AND RESTORED LIGHTING TO KITCHEN AND HALLWAY WHICH WAS ON THE SAME CIRCUIT.

ELECTRICAL SERVICES GROUP EXCEEDED MY EXPECTATIONS. THE ELECTRICIAN RICH SHOWED UP FIVE MINUTES EARLY, AFTER NAVIGATING THROUGH A RAIN/WIND/SNOW STORM ON PROBABLY THE WORST TRAFFIC DAY OF THE YEAR (THE DAY BEFORE THANKSGIVING). HE QUICKLY DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM SWITCHES, AND WAS ABLE TO MAKE BOTH CONTROL THE WALL OUTLETS AS WE WANTED. HE WAS VERY POLITE AND MADE SURE TO EXPLAIN WHAT THE PROBLEMS WERE AND WHAT HE WAS DOING TO CORRECT THEM. HE ANSWERED MY QUESTIONS AND ASSURED ME THAT THEY STAND BEHIND ALL THEIR WORK. OVERALL, I WAS EXTREMELY PLEASED WITH THE RESULTS.

TWO MEN ARRIVED AND SPENT FIVE HOURS WORKING IN AND OUT OF THE RAIN. THEY COMPLETED THE JOB AND DID NOT LEAVE A MESS.
Description of Work: THEY WERE HIRED TO COMBINE TWO PANELS INTO ONE, ADD NEW SERVICE LINE AND MOVE ELECTRIC METER TO OUTSIDE OF THE HOUSE.

THE MATERIALS COST WAS ALSO A FACTOR IN THE QUOTE WE WROTE UP; DUE TO THESE FACTORS, THE COST ENDED UP BEING A LITTLE HIGHER WHICH IS WHY WE ALWAYS PROVIDE A PROPOSAL BEFORE THE WORK IS ACTUALLY DONE. THE ELECTRICIAN AND HIS APPRENTICE DID VERY GOOD WORK. THEY EXPLAINED EVERYTHING TO ME. THEY OFFERED SOME SUGGESTIONS FOR A FEW OTHER THINGS WE MAY WANT TO DO. THEY WERE ON TIME, AS WAS THE PERSON WHO CAME TO DO THE INITIAL BID. THE PRICE WAS VERY FAIR, AND I WOULD DEFINITELY USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN.
Description of Work: THE COMPANY REPAIRED THE WIRING TO AN OVERHEAD LIGHT, REPAIRED LOOSE OUTLETS, REPLACED TWO OUTDOOR OUTLETS, REPLACED SEVERAL FUSES, AND SPOT CHECKED THE WIRING QUALITY THROUGHOUT HOUSE.
