Excellent experience from beginning to end! We were considering an expensive custom fence because we couldn t find prefab panels that we liked until we came across their unique selection. Lee was very friendly and helpful. He answered all my questions and since I knew the exact measurements and what I wanted, Lee was able to give me an estimate via phone within minutes and then schedule the installation. It was the busy season so we had to wait several weeks. Alfonso and his crew were a pleasure to have around they were friendly, courteous, professional and very good at what they do. They worked hard all day, breaking briefly for lunch, and finished in 1 day. The landscaping was intact and they cleaned up very nicely.

Very professional and efficient from beginning to end. I can't say anything negative about the experience. They were quick and enthusiastic to provide a quote, even though it was a relatively small project. The estimator (Jerry) and fencing crew (headed by Adolfo) were very friendly and service oriented. The final product looked great. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

They were messy. They had to come back top repair a lock that had fallen off. It did not seem like the work was as sturdy as we would have liked.

After wind storms hit Chicago on December 23, 2007, we awoke to find our cedar fence down with 3 4x4 posts sheared off at ground level. We contacted Bob Jaacks Rustic Wood fencing on Dec. 24th and they replaced the 3 posts, one corner post that was still standing but weak, and re-attached the three 6 ft. cedar fence panels. They dug out the old posts, cemented in the new posts and rebuilt the fence within the one week they had committed to on December 24th. The final charge ($475) was $100 more then the estimate due to replacing the 4th post. They completed the work in 5 degree weather in about 3 hours. It looks better than new and is much more sturdy then before. I was very impressed and intend to use them to do similar work on the remaining fence and gate this summer.

Estimator on time and introduced me to metal fence posts which proved to be the answer for my wet backyard. Company has a wide variety of fence types. Estimator was able to explain the cost trade off for each. He also was patient with our questions. Installation date was set at time of estimate. Two man crew arrived on time and worked their tails off for two days. No damage to garden and everything cleaned up. Very solid, good looking fence.

They were very prompt and professional. They used good quality wood. They accidentally hit a power line to the garage, but they were very good at fixing the problem. They took responsibility for it, which they didn't have to do. It only took 2-3 days with only 2 men, and it looks great! Both guys were really sweet!

Fence style was my own invention. Fence materials arrived at scheduled time, followed by two installers. The installers worked very efficiently, and the job was completed before the end of the second day. I had cleared a 2 ft. wide working strip along the fence line, and there was no damage to my planting border. The fence looks great, and muffles the noise of my neighbor's sump pump and three air conditions adjacent my service courtyard. It does a good job of covering a knotty, poorly-built Stars fence along my service courtyard that the neighbors surprised me with in July. I just wish I had built my fence seven years ago when my now-neighbors first built their MacMansion on a tiny lot with shared driveway, and chopped down all the vegetation on their side of the fence to open their back yard up to my garden. Hope this is a case where a good fence makes good neighbors. At least I won't see as much of them as I used to.

We are very happy with the quality of the work and with the crew. They were flexible and able to adapt to changes we wanted to the deck design as it was built, and to wait for us to make up our minds about these changes while they worked on other aspects of the project. The craftsmanship on the deck bench, railings and gate is very attractive. The crew was courteous, and did a good job cleaning up after themselves on a daily basis. They promptly came back a couple days after finishing to modify an access panel in the deck that we found difficult to remove. The only negative thing I would add is that the fence nearly was built incorrectly; they were pouring concrete for the fence posts along the line the old fence was built, instead of according to the new footprint which was 3 feet over from the old line. I was home at the time and noticed the mistake, which they then were able to correct before too much work had been done. It's always a good idea to be home when workers are there!

I was very happy with the work done. The price was actually lower than other bids but the quality of the work was exceptional. Not only was the salesman, Jerry, courteous and helpful, but the crew, with Sergio, were wonderful. Pleasant, they introduced themselves before they began the work. They left the yard clean and did an excellent job on the new fence. No surprises. Job went smoothly. Good salesman, wonderful work crew. I appreciated the fact that Jerry did not try and sell me a more expensive fence than I needed and the work crew, especially Sergio, were very courteous and professional.

They were excellent and we were really happy that they came out two days after the storm. Their price came out under the original estimate and we actually thought it would be more than the estimate.

After having a tree fall on my fence, I called them and they came right out to do the work. What amazed me was that before I had them do the work, they informed me that the previous owners of my house actually had them install the fence initially. I was floored at the coincidence. They did a great job and I would recommend them to others.

All work was performed in a highly satisfactory manner. I recommend this company.

They did good work in a timely manner. They were knowledgeable and the fence looks looks great, our dogs are happy.

I admit I'm picky, but I was not particularly impressed. The two guys who came out were certainly nice enough, but the post was a different size than the original, even though someone called the day before and asked what size post the were replacing. Not that big of a deal, really, they did set the post nice and deep. The cleanup was pretty lame.

They were very detailed in their work and knew what they were doing. I didn't have to be here for them to do the work. I would definitely use them again.

Lee gave me my quote and was really nice. The guys were able to get me in quickly. Luis showed up with his crew and they knocked out the fence that day. They were efficient, friendly and cleaned up when they were done. The job was so nice. My neighbor now wants her back gate done! Luis consulted me about which way I wanted the gate to open - there were no surprises! I was especially pleased because I had gotten a quote from one other place, had trouble getting call backs from that place and three others I'd been trying to get quotes from. Lee always called me back! The guys who did the work were really good. And the original sales and set up with Rustic was great. But again, the follow through is awful and $2995 might not be a lot for some folks, but that's a big chunk for me and to have something not working that I use frequently (back gate) and the company not fix it isn't good.

We had a great experience with this company. Their salesman Jerry came out and gave the quote. He was very nice, and I especially appreciated how he offered ideas to lower the price for us without me asking. The price was very competitive. The day of installation, Henry and his crew came out around 9 am and worked until about 7 pm. They came back the next day even earlier and finished in the afternoon. The fence is beautiful. They custom built it on site. The crew worked hard. They were very careful with my landscaping. I would highly recommend them. Even my neighbors commented how impressed they were with this company.

I received several quotes to replace my existing fence and chose Rustic Wood Fence even though it wasn't the lowest quote because of their reputation, and Jerry's (the salesman) knowledge, explanations and suggestions. The work was performed on schedule. The crew worked efficiently and cleaned up after themselves and took care to avoid serious damage to my vegetation. They did an excellent job of installing the fence. They were very professional and worked late to complete the job in one day, even though there were several periods of rain that day. I have received many compliments from neighbors as well as contractors performing other work at the house, and was asked to provide Rustic Wood Fence's number. Overall, I am very happy with the work and quality of work performed.

Great. They arrived early in the morning as promised and worked all day until almost sundown. They arrived again early the next morning and finished the job.

They did an excellent job. The fence looks very nice and Sergio + crew were very hardworking. They also picked up very nicely and didn't destroy any landscaping unless it was truly necessary. Their price was also very competitive.

Jerry (their estimator) was professional, on-time, courteous, provided good input rather than just being an order taker, was able to negotiate on the deal slightly. Only improvement would be to be able to get ahold of him directly. He didn't have a cell phone or number and I have to leave a message at their office. We gave them the job and are just waiting on the permit to break ground.

Our yard looks so much better! Terrific experience.

Bob Krueger met with me to discuss fence options for us and our seven pound dog. We needed enough fence to keep our dog safely in our yard, but not so much that we closed our small yard in too much. We went with a 4' scallop picket fence. We added the dog ear top because one neighbor has a board on board dog ear fence and that ''blended'' the two fences better. The work was done professionally and timely. I chose the company because of Bob. I felt very comfortable with him and felt that I could trust him. The only problem we had was that the guys who came to do the job did not know the fence was to be dog ear and they had to do it on site. I was concerned they did not know that as it was written on the order. The office was very laid back when I called all concerned and they told me just to let the guys know. I did and there was no problem. They were very happy to comply with my requests and Lalo, the head installer, was very courteous and wanted to make sure I was satisfied.

Scheduled fence (approximately 5 week backlog) with no down payment or signature required (could cancel at any time). Took 1-1/2 days to install. Good communication with respect to lot line, location of fence, location and swing of gates, etc. No damage to any plantings. Good installation. Lee (salesman) discussed all options in a very helpful manner. The lead installer, Lalo, was very courteous and helpful. He agreed with setting the fence posts without cement but suggested packing with sand and gravel and that 6"x6" gate posts should be set in cement for stability. I agreed.

Rustic Wood Fencing returned our initial call within one day. They came to our home, provided photo samples of their work and gave us a written estimate of several styles. They followed up their visit with a telephone call the next week to see if we had additional questions. Based upon the fair estimate (not the lowest but in the same range), responsive customer service, reviews on Angie's List and reputation (it is a company that has been in business for over 40 years)we selected them. They could not do the work for one month. On the date of the fence construction the 2 man crew led by Sergio arrived early and worked approximately 10 hours. The result was great. The fence is very attractive and we love the new gates which have two alternate ways of locking. The crew cleaned up the site very well. When you call the office the employees seem a bit eccentric, however, we were quite pleased with this company and would recommend them to others.
