We checked Angies List for some fence repair companys and concluded Rustic Wood Fencing would be a company to consider. Prior to checking Angies, we had gotten estimates from a couple other companys, one of which we had used before and had been satisfied with. Both companys had come out and gave an estimate on the work to be done. We would have gone with one of these companys but availabilty was going to be delayed for one to two weeks. Because Rustic appeared on Angies List as a A service provider we called and talked to Lee. He said what work needed to be done and we explained to him the posts were the issue. According to him no trip was necessary for an estimate. Rustic was priced higher ( 25% higher) than the other companys but could do the work sooner. We opted to go with Rustic because of quick availability. One man showed up for the job . The wrong type of posts ( square) were delivered but the representative doing the job said they would get them replaced and delivered which they were in good time. If an estimate had been made it would not have been an issue. After the work was completed we paid and the worker and he left. Subsequently we found that a couple of posts that were not replaced are loose. They are still standing but we question how long they will remain standing; and we now ask, were a couple of the posts that were replaced may not have had to be. The bottom line is we do not feel the fence was totally repaired. The hiigher price and a feeling the work was not completed is a concern. But I have to acknowledge I did not check each and every post with the representative from Rustic. On balance I am not sure whether I would use them again.

We had them replace some broken posts a few years ago and they were reasonable and professional so we called them to estimate the work we needed done this time. Jerry came out on Monday, walked through the yard with me identifying broken posts, looked at our gates and then have us an estimate. Harold showed up Wednesday morning after the utility line location service left and spent the entire days removing the bad gate posts and replacing them with newly cemented ones. After that he replaced the fence posts. Then he hung the gates and that was the end of the days. Harold told me he needed to come back with a couple of small strips of wood to finish out the large gates. That evening my wife and I took a hard look at the work and found a couple of bolts were missing from hinges, the latch on the big gate no longer worked once I removed the rock that was holding the gate in place and one of the big gates could not open dur to not enough ground clearance. I called and left a message about these things Thursday morning and got a voice mail later that morning from Lee asking for more details. I called Lee back late that afternoon and discussed the open issues and he told me he would pass it a long. Friday I found that one of the hinges on the small gate was too high and would snag people who were not paying attention so I called Lee again. Got another voice mail from Lee who, in a little bit of perturbed tone, told me that the work was on the boss' desk. Saturday morning I got up and called right away because I was getting a little ticked that I spent $1600 and I was going to have to do some work myself which negates the reason I had Rustic Wood come out. I got Lee right away who told me again it was on the desk and I told him I only cared about when it was going to be fixed and he said Harold would be out around 1 PM. 1:05 PM Harold showed up and made everything perfect. Added the strips of wood he originally mentioned he would bring back (I though they looked fine before but they looked even better when he was done), rehung the big gates so they opened in the opposite direction which eliminated the ground clearance issue and vastly improved the usability of the gates and added caps at our suggestion to hide the top of the offset hinge on the small garden gate. My only complaint is that I wish Lee could have made told me when the things were going to get taken care of. We have other projects and we will definitely call these people the next time.

It looks like they did a good job, and the fence looks like a sturdy fence. They were going to come back the next day to put on some sort of decorative thing, but we have yet to see them for that. They also left some clay when they dug out the holesfor the fence, but other than that we were pleased with it.

They responded quickly with an estimate that was within our price range and answered all of my questions. (I always have a lot of questions.) When I scheduled the work, they told me that it would take only one day to complete. It was raining on the day that they had scheduled to do the work, so they came back the second morning to finish it, otherwise, it would have all been done in one day. They were quick, professional, and they hauled away our old fence. The fence looks great and we get lots of compliments on it.

Great- only problem was that they did not tell us to have survey ready- We faxed it to their main office day of installation & the installers measured while guy at office told them where to measure-

Fence estimate was provided the same day that we called. Wrokmen showed up and installed the fence as ordered and took away the old fence. Neighbors on the other side of the fence were pleased with the fence also and appreciate our choice. The one negative that we have to report on this company is the clean up- they used our other neighbor's yard to cut the fence-didn't ask ahead of time if this was OK and left a tremendous amount of saw dusr all over the yard which took me severl hours to remove from their lawn and patio furniture

They were very efficient and everything went very smoothly.

They did a very good job. One man came out for the estimate and two men came out to fix the problem. I would recommend using them in the future.

They were very nice and helpful, but their bid just came in a little higher than the company that we went with.

It went well. I checked around for someone who could do this job as well for less but there isn't anybody. They did a nice job and I have confidence in their product and their service.

The fences were good. My husband did not like the salesperson but he stated the workers did a good job.

I thought that they did a very good job. The worker was a sloppy with the clean up and left clay lying around. I called the company about that, and the owner was very responsive and concerned. He immediately sent the worker back to clean everything. I would recommend their services.

After we reviewed and accepted their proposal, we setup an installation date. They arrived when they said they would and first performed a walkthrough with us to make sure that we were all on the same page. They had the old fence out in short order and began installing the new the same afternoon. My wife was concerned about her garden and they were quite respectful of that concern. Our next door neighbor commented on how careful they were. Total installation took two days and everything was cleaned up before they left. We definitely would use them again.

When I called Rustic Wood Fence I had to leave a message, Jerry called back later and set up an appointment, Jerry was right on time and knew what he was talking about, he's a real character. Gave us a fair quote with Angies discount, we gave him a deposit and ordered our fence. The fence came in the time quoted, we got the permit from the city, they called JULIE and the city for the hole inspection. Started on time, did a great job drilling the post holes, installing the fence on a slope, and left no mess, nothing out of place. Not a bad thing to say at all. All good

They were excellent. They did exactly what they said they were going to do. They showed up on time, and we had no problems at all with them. The workmen were professional, and they were reasonably priced.

They did a beautiful job with our fence! Found a perfect match to an existing fence our neighbor had. Built the other sections to match, and it's all very seamless. The workers were very quick and professional. The gates work beautifully. My only complaint would be that they left the old chain links all over the yard, but overall we are so happy. Would highly recommend.

Workmen showed up on time and date promised. Finished the projecton time. Everything was cleaned up and taken away by the workers. Good job.

We scheduled the company to come out to give us an estimate. They did not show up or call to let us know that they were not coming.

The fence replacement went well. The estimator arrived on time and got the quote to us the next day. The two installers came on time and worked steadily. They removed all the old debris and built a new gate that is solid using our old hardware that was still in good condition. It was a joy to have a job completed without any problems. The price was comparable to other fence companies.

They did it so fast. The fence was up within two weeks. We are very happy with it. Their price was reasonable. He was very kind and gave a lot of tips that were extremely helpful.

We got estimates from other fence contractors. Rustic Wood was at the low end by price. Installers were prompt and cleaned up as they went. In addition, we added to the plan as we went and the installers and office worked with that. Note that when the installers arrived they determined that we had to remove 2 large bushes before fence could be installed on our property line. This was a mistake of the estimater which required a return trip from installers after we removed bushes and could have added to the cost of the job (more installer hours) but he acknowledged his error and stuck with the original estimate. The installer also added a gate to a back porch we had recently installed to block view of the street; well thought out and executed.

It was okay. We spent about $1500. We will probably use them in the future.

The process to get estimate was fine - included a call back to confirm the estimate appointment. The estimator took a lot of time to measure the yard and was thorough in providing estimate. He even recommended a solution for more privacy, which was appreciated. The estimator was very professional. I ended up choosing another company that was a little less expensive, but in hindsight, I think I would have gotten more quality from Rustic Wood Fencing.

They did a good job. We did have one issue with the fence. The gate was a little messed up, but they came out to fix it.
